Just flew mine for the first time tonight. Got one battery on a charger out of the box and tossed the other one in and got a good 10 minutes of flying around my yard.. Cant complain for $150 bucks.

great video. how did you manually land it and stop the motor from the controller (@18:54) other than pressing the return home button?
I don't remember but usually the props will automatically stop when you land.
HI, nice review. I'm expecting this to arrive since i'm a begginer. Do you think its possible to hack its remote control to add real antennas for wider range?
Actually there should be a wire antenna inside the controller that you could possibly extend outside the remote by making a hole. Doing that should help the range a little but this is a toy so it isn't meant to be flown very far away. If you do you'll almost certainly lose it.
I have noticed on my drone the app showed I was at 12 meters. when in reality it was only 12 ft off the ground. I'm wondering if that is a app setting
You may be able to change between imperial and metric. Some apps let you while others don't but it should not show it is 12m when it is actually 12ft. That would be a serious error!!!
what drone would u recomend for a first timer beside this one
The Amcrest Skylight I just reviewed is ideal. It is also sold under the name iBaseToys H818H and Eachine has a version too. The Furibee 36 is a great and cheap choice. You also can never go wrong with a Syma X5C.

Because the antennas are fake that's why lol. No sense in extending fake antennas right? I get asked that question often and sometimes I forget to mention it in the reviews though I always try to. The Bugs series drones (this is a Bugs 3 Pro) all have fake antennas. I think I would look pretty dumb extending fake antennas as a drone reviewer. Lol. It is a good drone though if you have a bit more money the new Fimi X8 SE 2020 blows it away!

@@JerseyStyle7 I do like this one but the Fimi has a 3 axis HDR 4k camera with 8km range. Look at my recent video. It is $370 on preorder. It is just an upgraded version. You can find 2 videos on my channel of the 2018 version

That's correct, no gimbal. These toys never come with a stabilized gimbal.
charge the battery with a real lipo charger it gets what the box says i tried last night and was blown away how much better it ran
Yep!! A real hobby grade charger, even a cheap IMAX clone, makes a huge difference in getting the battery fully charged and balanced and you can keep the lipos at storage voltage and greatly increase the life of the battery.
I can’t find any spare parts for this drone other than the props and a USB cable. Do you have any idea why this is?
I would try e-mailing Potensic. They are a very good Amazon seller. You could also look at up UDI's website. UDI makes the Potensic drones.

Mine gets damn near 18mins the battery will drain quick if you’re flying it towards the wind
For some reason my drone is not recording videos, only taking pictures. I have got a memory card but it’s sill not recording anything. Any idea what the problem could be?
Wow that is odd. What size card? Maybe try reformatting the card on your PC and be sure to use FAT32.
Thanks for the reply I will try that. It is strange as I tried filming without the memory card and it works so might be a problem with the card
@@maddog8593 good point, try a different card may also work. Worst case it is defective so just return it to Amazon for a new one.
Not bad, but I feel $140 is a little high for what you get here. This would have a good drone two years ago. Nice unboxing and flight test Ryan, and I love the tee shirt.

@@RonaldBrown59 I don't think we have the infrastructure in place yet to make these here yet. I think China will cave and these toy items will remain tariff free but we shall see :)

@@RonaldBrown59 those high prices are just Chinese sellers that buy in bulk just like Banggood then ship the drones to Amazon's warehouse and then mark them up 200%. Right now the high prices are pure greed lol
why didnt you extend the antennas on the controller
Because the antennas are fake so pointless. I usually point that out in the video but it is possible I forgot to explain that. If I did forget then my apologies. The controller antennas on all of these toy drones are fake. If you are no wires inside the antennas then they are phony and are for looks only.

Sometimes when i fly between 50 and 250 meters my wifi disconnects and the App freezes up. Do you know why?
No clue, could just be your phone. Could be a poor angle to the drone especially if you are flying directly overhead.

No it does not.
Why did you not unfold the antennas of the remote control?
Because they are fake antennas. I get this question often. Sometimes I do forget to mention they are fake. I feel I will look even more stupid extending fake antennas.

I get asked this question often and I thought I mentioned it in the video but the antennas are fake so kinda pointless to extend fake antennas. Most toy drones don't have real antennas. They are just pieces of plastic on hinges with no wires inside.

No they don't. You never store lipo batteries fully charged or they will go bad fast. They may bloat or puff and can become dangerous if left fully charged so be sure to partially discharge them when not in use. They should come partially charged to storage voltage which is 3.80-3.85v per cell.

Got it thank you. Hopefully this drone is realiable because i lve had holystone and i crashed it.
Now im connected to the app but for some reason i cannot control the drone by using transmitter. The only thing i can do is hover the drone in one spot and landing it thats all.
Anyone know how fast this drone goes or if there’s difference speed settings. Also this or the E520s?
No clue, it is brushed motors so it is not fast.

Nope, in fact you are not required to get a 107 unless you are flying for commercial use no matter what drone you fly.

5G (5.8ghz) Wi-Fi otherwise know as 80211.ac Wi-Fi which most modern phones can connect to.

Not well organized and repeatitive. Wasted so much time to say meaningless things than actually review the drone. For example, how the follow-me mode and circling mode work and how they can be operated was not even discussed. To help your viewers more please be well prepared and make sure everything will be discussed as accurate as possible.
You're more than welcome to try and do better! I've been doing this for 4 years. If I wasn't any good at it I wouldn't be successful. It is difficult to test follow-me and orbit mode in a drone with with such a short flight time and only one battery.
I’m a beginner and found this very helpful.
