    Thank you so much for sharing your gift. You are an excellent teacher your voice is very calm and steady. I could and probably will watch you all day! I'm from Lax Kw'alaams in BC Canada. I have been wanting to try my hand at making moccasins for decades and have finally found the supplies needed. Your clear instructions are making me feel more confident. Beautiful work on the mocs as well! Thank you 😊💓

    Very good video. Straight to the point. The thing I do different is I use split down artificial sinew. I have never worked with German tan hide but after seeing your beautiful moccasins I think I will try it.

    At 7:00, I noticed that your beadwork has material, like a cotton fabric, on the back. Did you glue that on there? What kind of fabric is it? What the purpose, does it strengthen the hide, to give the work body? I don't see it helping the beads or the thread, because they still show. Just curious 🧐

    • @QuinWhaPaCreations

      Cotton fabric applied with Heat n Bond. Provides stability and stiffness

    Watched your video for the 7th time! I think I almost have a pattern. Just have a couple of questions. 1) after marking the 3" line across the arch, 2nd line goes straight down....I see you stopped about 1" shy of the end, is there a reason? 2) cutting the tounge...logic says 3" wide, but how long and do you round one end, cut in a "V" shape or is it preference? Thank you

    • @QuinWhaPaCreations
      @QuinWhaPaCreations  Před 4 lety +1

      I went about 1/8 of an inch past my footprint. You can go all the way and cut off the access after you have sewn it to the heel. Cutting the tongue as in any part of it is preference.

      @@QuinWhaPaCreations Approximately how long should the tongue be? 3" Wide by ???? I don't want to cut it too short. I believe I may have an "real" pattern! • @QuinWhaPaCreations

      R Holbrook the tongue should be your preference from arch to ankle. Maybe about 4 inches
