Is Ariana grande trying to get uncancelled in her upcoming film Wicked with Cynthia Erivo? Check out my reaction and review! Did she know that her relationship with costar Ethan Slater would end up getting out into the public and because of that, try and do damage control in her performance, really leaning in to the bad girl bully just to have a complete turn around and be a great friend to Elphaba? It's one thing to tell the story, in another to drive yourself with a double motive. Let's get into it!

Ariana isn't acting a "mean girl" because of her life its literally a part of the role of Glinda on Wicked! I don't think anyone gives a # what Arianna does I don't know her and I'm never going to. I see her as I would a fireman as long as you do your damn job and save me I don't give a # what you get up to. I know for a fact Arianna can do the job she is being paid to do which is playing Glinda and thats all I care about.

The reactor here needs to read up on ELIZABETH TAYLOR.
She famously stole Eddie Fisher from her “friend” Debbie Reynolds.
(Fisher and Reynolds were also the parents of CARRIE FISHER and the grandparents of BILLIE LOURD)
Fisher and Taylor were only together a few years before Taylor left him for Richard Burton.
Yes, Taylor ended up married EIGHT times to SEVEN men (she married Burton twice).
BUT.
Taylor was also one of the most gifted performers every put to film.
She won TWO Oscars, one for a masterpiece, “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf”, an adaption of a stage show.
She was STUNNING in the movie.
Crazy good.
Taylor was also one of the most beautiful women in film history, yet for “Virginia Woolf” she actually succeeded in making herself UGLY.
Her PERSONAL life had no impact on the quality of her work.
Ariana is the same way.
Her personal life is PERSONAL.
It has nothing to do with her talent or the dedication she’s put into this role or the many months she spent training and preparing to play Galinda (later called “Glinda”).
I think she’s NAILED IT.
I don’t give a fig if you say she was “CANCELLED”.
Cancelled from what?
Being talented? Being a hard worker?
Being a gifted actor and vocalist?
Stop.
Just stop.
She has a major movie role.
She’s excellent in what we’ve seen.
And she deserves RESPECT for the quality of her work, and not SCORN for anything that purportedly happened to her personally.

i thought the trailer looked great and I will be watching.
To touch on Ari’s relationship drama, I feel like there is enough conflicting info out there to make the case in either direction. If you piece together one set of facts they had both separated from their partners and then got together. If you piece together another, they broke up their respective marriages to be with one another. I feel like people tend to believe whichever story they want based on whether or not they liked her to begin with, just to justify their feelings. Yes she is definitely leaning into the drama of it all, but she admit that it shouldn’t all be taken seriously, and that the album is not entirely based on her story.
At the end of the day, it’s none of our business, I get that people want to scream from their soapboxes, but there are so many more important issues deserving of our attention then whether or not a pop star broke up a marriage.
And also: If they fell in love with each other, during filming, what should they do? Deny their feelings and stay in relationships that would turn miserable and sour, because the love is gone? Of course it's sad for everyone involved and it's not easy to break up your relationship, but sometimes life comes in between.
Btw: Isn't it a bit poetic that this situation made "Boq" end up with "Glinda", after all, in real life?
First of all, we shouldn’t speak on things we have no idea, the articles were proven to be false, page six released a second article on january which they deleted due to the backlash. Lily jay claimed she hasnt talked to anyone. They were separated, both couples. On the songs she talks about people like you, people who Comment and gossip about things they have no
Idea. Also the album is a concept album. On her song we cant be friends she talks about how she just keeps silent, because people made theyre mind
RE: Ari hate - Married couples do not "own" each other. If people fall in love with some else, it's messy. And, just like with many other ex-celeb spouses... the heartbreak feels a lot better when you're sitting on a large divorce settlement 💰💵💵 . Sure, people can comment on public figures, but really don't expect most people to "cancel" celebs for cheating on spouses. It's not the 1950s anymore. Cheating celebs will barely get one news cycle.
These 2 films have absolutely nothing to do with anyone’s personal life. ANYONE’s. They are brilliant, masterpieces of art that will not be sunk to the level of “cancel culture” or even political ideology (as I’ve also seen).
ABSOLUTELY TRUE. We ALL know about Elizabeth Taylor’s notoriety with stealing Eddie Fisher from her ‘FRIEND’ Debbie Reynolds, only to dump him a few years later for Richard Burton. Knowing that, I still believe Taylor to be one of the FINEST performers in film history. Just watch “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf.” Stunning performance! (And deservedly, she won the OSCAR!) Her personal escapades did NOT in any way detract from the quality of her work. So, for all of us. Please issue a detraction/apology. Ariana was on Broadway before she did Nickelodeon. This role means EVERYTHING to her, and she’s obviously put in a lot of work. So let’s cut her some slack, and NOT go into the theater with pre-conceived notions about her PERSONAL life. It’s hers. It’s PERSONAL. ‘Nuff said.

Is the title necessary? You could've just watched the trailer and enjoyed it without bringing up Ariana's personal life. Have you even seen Wicked? Glinda isn't a "Mean" Girl. People like you are so miserable. Not one reaction that I've seen has brought up her personal life.
With all due respect, Ariana is celebrating her relationship in her album and the lyrics speak about the relationship being “forbidden” so I’m not discussing anything that she hasn’t brought up in her own art herself.

Also, Boq appears at the beginning of the show, Then in Dancing Through Life, right before Elphaba leaves for the Emerald City, Then you don't see him until Act 2 (Wicked Part 2) where he becomes the Tin Man. Boq in is all of 5 or 6 scenes of a 2 ½-hour show and potentially a 4/5 Hour Movie with both parts combined. You can see Boq twice in the Teaser. Once in the Oz Dust Ballroom and then as the Tin Man with Dorothy. He's also very visible in the featurette.

what does her album have to do with the movie. the mean girl act of glenda is glenda's character. people think she is the good witch but in all honesty she was jealous of alphaba. bringing up this whole ari relationship stuff is click bait and honestly messy but what do we know... we are just hate comments in your eyes because you gave your opinion on a matter in which had nothing to do with the trailer, but i think you missed the assignment on this one. big F @@GilbertGTV
she done something in her personal life a lot.... what does her personal life has to anything with this film? This was a weird side aspect you did towards ariana... The film of glenda is that is the mean girl... maybe do some research before speculating ari is trying to redeem anything. She playing the role accurately but you wouldn't know, but you do know she does this a lot. Pretty cringe to think she doesn't separate personal from professional, but again this is just me speculating you care more about the drama then the actual film cause your whole rant was not needed but hey who i am to say anything.... i'm just a viewer with an opinion...

Ariana Grande and Ethan didn't cheat. In her album, Ariana said Dalton cheated on her and she got together with Ethan after her divorce same with Ethan
Ethan didn’t divorce till after they got together tho. He left his wife and son.

@@blainedavis8819 you’re right. The timelines don’t lie. They absolutely were having an affair, and according to producers on the set of the movie, they did not try to hide it.
@@GilbertGTV Yes he filed for divorce after the news went public, but it’s possible they were already separated.
Also, I wouldn’t put much cache in tabloids. Not only is it more entertaining, but there is more money leaning into/creating drama.
