I think the tuxedo watch really needs a black band, somehow that nice brown one does not set it off as well as its original black one did. Just a thought.
I always learned so much from you Alexander. Thank you so much! I am somewhat homebound as I gave my 20 year old Honda to my 15-year-old grandson due to having a stroke and I didn’t trust myself to drive anymore so I learn and travel vicariously with you.❤
Collectibles are priced pretty high now. Same as everything else. I loved going thru "junk" shops and second-hand stores back in the day. It was my favorite way of finding treasures at bargains and at the same time enjoying a relaxing afternoon.
Alex, you must have been tired from your road trip. Take that brown wrist band off that Tuxedo Watch and put a black wrist band back on it pronto. I’ve seen other comments saying the same thing. Also I always enjoy your channel.
When I lived there, I popped over to Sidney one day and found myself in a vintage shop that had a ton of postcards from WW1. I spent the whole afternoon in a chair, reading. People writing family, husbands, lovers, friends...they may have not been worth a lot monetarily but the brief glimpses into lives at that time was for me, priceless.
Hi Alex, you said they had the Picasso at $85. You said you were going to let them know about them running on line between $300-$500. I was just curious, did they know it was a Picasso? Thanks again for taking us along with you through the Antique shop. Wishing you & Melissa a wonderful weekend. God bless & take care.🙏🤗🇺🇸💗
I absolutely LOVE Victoria! Nice coins and watches. Automatic watches are my favorite. Would have liked to see some of the scenery from the town. Like around the waterfront, Empress Hotel, etc.
Our high school marching band spent 3 days in Victoria for the 100th anniversary. We went tot he Empress Hotel, Buchart Gardens, and partied as much as a freshman could party! We probably traveld 8 hours from our Oregon hometown and took the ferry from Port Angeles. 1970!
Nice?? A potential buyer could have had a happy moment there.. If a shop doesn't know what they are selling, that is their problem. It's a shame that perhaps afterwards they upped the price to 200 dollars when, imagine it's you, you could have had a bit of a bargain
Nice to see you in our neck of the woods, I live an hour north of Victoria. Sorry you`re having issues with your you tube; the video glitched in a few places but I managed to see it to the end.
I love the new haircut, Alex! Looking sharp! A little slimmer too? (Not that you needed to.). Thanks for bringing in all so much joy week to week! Happy Easter! ❤
Wow, you are such a fountain of knowledge! So nice of you to help the first shop by letting them know about the Don Quixote print. I’m sure every little bit helps when it comes to being able to keep a shop open. Thank you for sharing your knowledge Alex. ❤
Alexander, When I see places like that I ask myself if they are more collectors than sellers. The thin line between hoarding, so to speak, and collecting. I like your philosophy, almost everything can go. It's so important to move products, especially if you have to pay bills. I remember the junk shops so well, full of stuff from house cleanouts. That's a real adventure! Cheers, Rik
I know this is AO. Your videos, whatever they are and Melissa says as well. I've just been not feeling well so I'm kind of behind on watching. I've seen this one before but. I forgot until it was halfway through and then I realized I had watched him before.😊❤
Good to see you on the island even if it the other end to me. I miss visiting the store when i am in Edmonton but i do enjoy the auctions when i can watch them.
Marx toy trains guy here, long time no see. Sorry to hear of your shop closing. I remember your cross-country train tripe with family, enjoyed much. At 76 my interests have changed from Studebakers to Vintage toy tin trains since I sold the car. Mainely 1934--59 Marx, which I restore.
81/2 was not a B movie. It was an Italian movie directed by Fellini and it spurned the award winning Broadway musical Nine starring Raul Julia. I have several of those mint sets from the 60’s. I have a Tudor oyster that has no rose on it that I got for $2 at a church rummage sale, it is stainless.
Nice score on those silver coins! I’m a fairly new silver stacker but my favorite sovereign silver coin right now is the Canadian Maple leaf coins. I much prefer them to the US Silver Eagles that most like here in the states. I know nothing about those classic Canadian Silver coins but I look forward to learning about them.
I was surprised to see you. Change out the black band on the tuxedo watch to that kind of reddish leather. I didn't like it at first but it did make it look richer. But I still like the black band better ...like many others have said..
Concerning the Schuco ship: I saw the municipal coat of arms of the city of Konstanz (Constance in southern Germany, I live nearby) and so I looked it up: the Fontainbleau was a ferry at Lake Constance for more than 50 years. I must have been on it a dozen times. Fontainbleau ist the French twin town of Constance. The model probably dates back to 1970 when the ferry was launched.
Would’ve been neat to pump into you, but I don’t go downtown that often. Hope you enjoyed your visit. I’m sure you’ve noticed a difference, since the last time you were here.
I wouldn't be afraid to ask a shop to ship a larger item to your home, especially if you are vacationing in a place frequently visited by tourists. Something to think about when you feel you have to walk away from an under-priced Picasso.
I was in Vancouer myself 10yrs ago in fact exactly a month ago in the march. Stayed across from Vancouver Island, is the restaurant with the 40s taxi outside still visible.
Actually the dots vs lines have to do with the material of the watch and whether or not the crown is twinlock or triplock. Great finds though! I think the gold plating is less desirable than stainless steel because it's less value. If it was solid gold that would be a different story. Not really to do with the look i don't think. The dial looks really rough and will need to be refinished which will affect its value and resellability. That Tuxedo dial... That's a really great find! I think that one alone is worth a lot more than the first two, even though I personally prefer Omegas. Tudors being a sister company to Rolex will always make them more valuable though (of course vintage dress models not modern or vintage sports/pilot watches. Whole different ball game.)
Are you going to track down Edy (or his/her kids) to return the Tudor? I'm sure a Boy Scout like you that price-corrects Picassos would want to do this.
Did, you know Alex that in the first James Bond movie, Dr No Sean Connery wore his own watch? And it wasn't a Rolex or an Omega , do you know what brand he wore?
Alex my love. It is soo good to see you again. You are looking good. I love when you go to antique shops and show us around. The watches are very stylish. I’m a fan for many years. My dying wish is to meet you in person some day. Until then, please take care and stay safe. Love you 🍺🌹🙏🌞🇺🇸😇🌈👍❤️🕊
I think the tuxedo watch really needs a black band, somehow that nice brown one does not set it off as well as its original black one did. Just a thought.
Totally agree
I came here to say the same thing. I think he should switch the black and brown.
I agree also!❤
yep...i'm also in agreement.
From what I could see, I thought that the original band didn't look too bad. Even the gold lettering inside wasn't completely worn off.
I always learned so much from you Alexander. Thank you so much! I am somewhat homebound as I gave my 20 year old Honda to my 15-year-old grandson due to having a stroke and I didn’t trust myself to drive anymore so I learn and travel vicariously with you.❤
Hi Alex and Melissa 🙋🏽. I hope you are having a wonderful weekend ‼️👋🏽
Collectibles are priced pretty high now. Same as everything else. I loved going thru "junk" shops and second-hand stores back in the day. It was my favorite way of finding treasures at bargains and at the same time enjoying a relaxing afternoon.
Now they are just as high as the big box stores. Garage sales, I can’t wait!
Thanks for letting us tag along. Have a wonderful holiday!❤
Nice watches. I prefer the black band on the tuxedo 😊
I agree!
Alex, you must have been tired from your road trip. Take that brown wrist band off that Tuxedo Watch and put a black wrist band back on it pronto. I’ve seen other comments saying the same thing. Also I always enjoy your channel.
Thanks Alexander. Great fun seeing all the "stuff" in the store as well as ur haul.

The black leather looked so much better on the tuxedo watch
I agree!!
Cool shop. Great Finds . That was a cute antique shop. . Hope you had a great time in Victoria . Keep Safe ❤Keep Well❤Happy Easter 🐰🐰🐇🐇
Happy Easter To You And The Family.
No way!!You are on Vancouver island?!That is awesome.😊
Our high school marching band spent 3 days in Victoria for the 100th anniversary. We went tot he Empress Hotel, Buchart Gardens, and partied as much as a freshman could party! We probably traveld 8 hours from our Oregon hometown and took the ferry from Port Angeles. 1970!
Awesome again 🎸🎸🎸🎸
Very nice antique store. Thanks for sharing Alex ❤ Have a blessed Easter
Nice of you to let the antique shop know about the Picasso print.

@@PorscheDiddy That's what I meant by nice. Alex knew what he was doing.
Nice to see you in our neck of the woods, I live an hour north of Victoria. Sorry you`re having issues with your you tube; the video glitched in a few places but I managed to see it to the end.
Love that tuxedo watch! I really liked the original strap.
I love the new haircut, Alex! Looking sharp! A little slimmer too? (Not that you needed to.). Thanks for bringing in all so much joy week to week! Happy Easter! ❤

Welcome to the island!
I liked the plush stuffed ALF up next to the old Tonka truck you had as a kid. Love me some ALF!
Happy Resurrection Day to you and your family. He is Risen!❤🙌
Another great episode Alex. I need more time in the shops. Lol.
Wow your in my favorite shopping area. I am about 30 miles away across the straits in Port Angeles, Wa. Happy shopping!

IMHO the black strap on the tuxedo would look best. Also one of the brown straps on the gold Tudor would look better.
I know this is AO. Your videos, whatever they are and Melissa says as well. I've just been not feeling well so I'm kind of behind on watching. I've seen this one before but. I forgot until it was halfway through and then I realized I had watched him before.😊❤
Amazing vid
Hard to call Fort Street Antique row anymore. It is very sad in my opinion.
Yeah, I’d say 2009 was the beginning of the end. Hasn’t really been the same since around that time.
Edmonton Alberta here glad to see a fellow Canadian business
Neat you made it over to Vancouver Island.👍⭐️
Nice finds on the watches dude!
Hi Alex., oh you are traveling a bit, shopping. Interesting items in this store.👍. You found some nice things. 😊 nice old watches❤️👍
Butterscotch pudding
Alex, always on the watch for good item!😃
Thanks brother man
We had that yellow dog piggy bank as kids!
I love Victoria.

Oh man I wish I knew about this when it came out!!! I'm in Victoria
Happy Easter y'all ✝️

Happy Easter!!
Too bad you didnt do a meet up on Van Isl !! Maybe another time 🤷♂️😊
Nice finds!

Nice watches!
Glad you had a successful trip & got tech issues supported!!
I would have had a hard time resisting that Picasso print at $80.
The watches are a gr8 find
Loved seem hometown in a Curiosity Inc. video!
Happy Easter! 😊
The watches look much happier now. I'm guessing a 34mm dial is about what a standard ladies watch is now.
Love your haircut! Alexander! Looking for to your New York City videos! I'm sitting here with Amish Linda, come on post New York!

Weird to see you walking the same street I did for a decade. Worked a few stores down at Fishhook.
Jackson pollack 😅. Love your videos

Well I learned something new today. I will be looking differently at watches
@6:23 after Pablo Picasso percussion of the bullfighters $338.31

Also I think your strap choices are stunning
I just watched a video that you would enjoy. It is about old cars and a museum. Go to OFF the Ranch, Matt Cariker. Titled "We need this thing".
What? No Zoltar in that antique shop? (I just finished re-watching the movie, "Big," where the original Zoltar lives.) 🙂
Great movie, hey? 😊
"B-movies"?! Fellini's 8 1/2?! Pretty Baby by Louis Malle?! Well, we can't know everything about everything. 😄
I would like to see the dog figurines.
🙋♀️❤️
You should check out their thrift stores downtown.
They still make a coffee machine much the same as that big one. They are many thousands new. "Elektra BELLE EPOQUE"
Hey, I'm the 2nd view on this video!
When you replace crystals on older watches, do you go for sapphire or plain o'l mineral glass?
One never knows where Alex will pop up next 😂😂😂
We were in Victoria 2 weeks ago.
I think the engraved name was "Edy", short for Edith, and so would've been a ladies watch
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
1967 was a great year. It's the year I came to earth 😂
Does it pay to polish old coins? Or is it better to leave the patina?
Leave them alone!!
Are you going to track down Edy (or his/her kids) to return the Tudor? I'm sure a Boy Scout like you that price-corrects Picassos would want to do this.
Where did you buy the leather straps you out on those watches?
Is there a conclusion to the last viideo?
I have some still in box new ladies watch bands for 50's60's watches if you want them.
What happened with your last video when the end of it was completely cut off?
Will you be selling or auctioning that Tudor tuxedo? I'd be interested.
Is this a Speedmaster Racing Master you’re wearing?
Did, you know Alex that in the first James Bond movie, Dr No Sean Connery wore his own watch?
And it wasn't a Rolex or an Omega , do you know what brand he wore?
you are just down the street from me!
the 1967 set is a proof-like set. not a specimen set
Clown are more in thriller than in circuses, that is what makes it creepy in my
Openion.
Alex my love. It is soo good to see you again. You are looking good. I love when you go to antique shops and show us around. The watches are very stylish. I’m a fan for many years. My dying wish is to meet you in person some day. Until then, please take care and stay safe. Love you 🍺🌹🙏🌞🇺🇸😇🌈👍❤️🕊
come to vancouver flea market table 332 and say hi
Dude, how do you find an Omega and a tutor. I'm dying to know how much you paid for them
It’s a bric-a-brak store.
