Add Captions to Audio in PowerPoint

This is how you can add captions to your audio in PowerPoint. I've included instructions on how to create a WebVTT file for those captions so you can easily insert them into your slides. No need for third-party add-ins or purchase of software to create your VTT files. This works in any version of PowerPoint 2016 or newer.

Thanks, dude! This was just what I needed. I'm thinking that recording the audio separately with a different app/software may be handy, as such apps tell you the time stamps for each part of the audio. You can take note of that and then use it to create the vtt file for the each slide. I'm gonna do a search for more tags you can use in a vtt file. Perhaps there is a tag to change the caption's colour.

That is a special coding called WebVTT (Web Video Text Track). It is based on HTML.
