- Mark Zeigler Yacht Sales strikes again with another quality listing for sale. It is rare for Mark to list sailing yachts, so when he does, you know you are getting a yacht that is being offered at a very high standard, and thats exactly what you get with this 1988 Tartan 40 sailing yacht for sale.
The yacht has had the same owner for around 15 years, who has spent considerable time, money, and effort in maintaining and upgrading the yacht over the years. At first glance, you will notice all the varnished wood work is covered in custom canvas to protect it from the Florida sun. The sprayhood is virtually brand new, with very clear windows compared to most other yachts I have been on.
All the lines on the yacht lead aft to the cockpit so you don't have to walk along the decks while the boat is underway, adding to the safety and comfort. The anchor on the bow is even operated with a powerful electric windlass, again to make life onboard easier. There is a full instrument panel with a variety of electronics right at the helm, and more than ample storage in the cockpit as well.
Down below, it is rare to find a sailing yacht with as much headroom, natural light, and near full beam accomodation providing a great space to relax onboard for extended periods of time. The saloon converts to a double berth, with the owners cabin on the bow, and a guest cabin in the starboard quarter.

I will always recommend a good survey and sea trial for any boat, but I would be very surprised if this one had any major issues to report. A lot of time, money, effort, and pride invested in this one with the current owner 🤠 Thanks for watching!!

@@GarnockReviews l saw something not long ago that, I thought, was kinda clever. The host (or you, in this case) said something like "If you subscribe here, thank you. BUT...if you don't, how about helping me get to X,XXX subscribers faster? The actual language wasn't the point; it was the acknowledgement of both groups as well as the 'ask'.
I've got some big boy toys coming up that I think will get attention too, from Fleming to Krogen and a Viking 72 to name but a few. I might reword my ask for subscribers or put the subscriber graphic in the video etc as I do my edits 😉
Very nice sailing yacht! I definitely would love to live aboard this one! With the on board air conditioning and all the lovely wood, it should stay nice and cool for Summertime cruising!! ✌️🏳️🌈✌️
This was the first time I was onboard a Tartan. I've always heard about them but never made it onboard until now. Having been on this one, I'd certainly not rule out getting onboard another in the future. Great boat for the size and money. Thanks as always for the support.

@@GarnockReviews hmm, no real refrigeration, old electronics, old engine, balsa cored hull. 65k US if it all checks out.
It looks awfully nice to me 75-80,000 seems reasonable. But at the current price you're getting I to a lot of better competition range.
