$109,000 - (1992) Catalina 42 Sloop Sailing Yacht For Sale

When I was working with Mike Webster from Hansen Yachts recently, filming several of his power boat listings, Mike asked if I wanted to check out his latest listing, a 1992 Catalina 42 sailing yacht for sale. I have well over 200 videos on my channel now, but have very few sailing yachts. My Dad actually owned several yachts when I was a kid, and this is what started my boating addiction, so I jumped at the chance to get onboard.
What you have here is a very solid, and capable liveaboard blue water cruising yacht. There are many advantages to this one from the solar panels, tender davits, full electronics at the helm, all lines leading to the aft cockpit, 3 cabins down below, and all for just $109,000.

Very nice blue water capable sailing monohul. I prefer Amel Supermaru at this age and price though, especially because I like that helm position more.

I will need to check that one out 😉 I think it's great that in this crazy economy and market, you can still get solid blue water cruising yachts for roughly $100k.

You're right, Garnock: You do see a lot of C42's and its successor the Mk II out in the Caribbean. This one is the 'charter version', intended to make captain charters down in the islands more affordable. Or as you point out, this boat comes with its own garage. Did I miss the hours on the Yanmar?

She would be a great charter boat in the Caribbean. 3 cabins and all that solar power, you could sail for a long time without coming to shore.
I'd need to double check those engine hours. Yanmars are great engines, in fact I'm due to film a twin engined trawler next weekend with Yanmars in them. They sip fuel, easy to service or repair, and parts are readily available.

I agree. I don't recall an owners cabin on the bow like this before, but it works really well.

I don't see any reference of it on the Yachtworld listing, and didn't notice the controls for it at the helm. I'm leaning towards saying no, but Mike should be able to confirm if you are interested 😉
