I have a question. If I were to make a model in Blender, can I use it in Poser? I know to just animate in Blender all together, but Im all about what can speed up my work flow in certain areas. Cuz, Poser is about fast animation while Blender is more for longer films. I just want to know al my options if I were to get Poser. Its in humble bundle at this moment so its tempting.
@@TheLuconic yes, you can. I'm not sure about Daz3d (you might want to try it first cause it's free) but you can 100% import from blender to use in poser. FBX is supposed to import... but I import obj and textures, do my rigging in poser, and export to fbx when needed. (just read the poser humble bundle, sounds like a steal!)
I'm surprised Poser is still around. I owned a copy 20+ years ago. it was really good back then for quick character generation for export to 3DSMAX for scene animation and occasionally I'd use their renderer to produce quick animations for projects . I upgraded with new releases but I gave up on it because it became pretty much abandonware at some point, with no real feature updates for several years. Their business model seemed to change to selling characters to plug in. After visiting their website after watching the video, it looks like this is still the case?
yes, I would say Poser now feels like is still 15 years behind.. I don't understand why someone would pay for it today, it was a think until early 2000's, top.
@@migovas1483 agreed, from what i understand, most who once used poser, or would consider it now, usually end up using Daz studio, which is basically a free version of poser geared towards character setup, posing and rendering, but it has a lot of limitations to it also. To be perfectly honest, Poser was surpassed by Reallusion’s Character Creator and Iclone years ago.
Poser 13 must be compared with Daz Studio both have similar ends. Blender can be compared with Maya, 3ds Max or Lightwave 3d creation tools. Poser can be a Blender complement cause Poser figures can be exported to Blender and viceversa. Anyways your both individual reviews are accurate ❤
Can you consider making a video about Unigine? it's the only engine that's 64bit that I know of. what I mean by that is, it's using 64-bit precision of coordinates with advanced GIS and CAD data handling which results in a massive limit for a map size (Unreal Engine's limit is 21 sq/km for reference)
Being initiated in Maya and Zbrush I find blender 4 has all I need. Not renewing Autodesk. Poser, I also purchase a license but rarely use it. With ComfyUI Open Source wins!
Can Poser be used in the same capacity as Blender at all? I mean, can you do anything 3D modelling and animating on non character objects? like cars, houses, sofas, and etc... ?
poser is like comparing windows Paint vs Krita.. yes you can open a file, you can save a BMP or Jpeg, yes you can draw a line, erase something, crop.. and that's it.
I'd really like to learn DAZ, but there seem to be so few tutorials available for the absolute beginner. Are there any you'd recommend that thoroughly explain everything for the beginner? Thanks :)
gui and lack of developer manuals is a large wall for many people looking to make their own stuff. Poser is easier to get started in but has upfront cost. BUt, you do get a huge library that comes with it and the free content available is massive.

I do not understand why the company itself doesn't bother with such tuts. I've even looked in places like UDemy, but there's really nothing for the absolute beginners :( As far as animations though, I know Poser is very good. I'm also planning to look into Cascadeur!
cascasdeur is free iirc, would be good to give it a go for sure. I've made some tutorials for poser for making characters (Poser Figure Creation with Darkseal), rigging, etc... it just doesn't translate over to doing it in Daz, though the poser figures can be used in daz just fine as long as you don't "weight map" them. @@devriv8983

A lot of people don't know this channel is text to speech, the videos have been getting progressively worse lately and honestly, starting to lose credibility not even a week ago this channel was promoting that company who literally just stole Blender source code some how made it worse and tried to pass it off as a new competitor for Mac users. Outside of general "this thing exists" news I don't trust this channel for anything

Unreal Engine 5.1 FIXED the world coordinate system earlier this year, actually late 2022. It's definitely no longer limited to 21 km^2 maps.
