- Unfortunately my Gear Set Tier List video wasn't perfect, some things were unclear and I rated Deadeye too low. In this video I am going to make an effort to explain some of those things and hopefully properly correct myself.

As content creators, instead of calling for MORE nerfs, why don't you guys ever use your platform and your sway to get the developers to buff all the current shit tier sets in the game? Don't you think it's ridiculous that out of all the sets in the game, only 3 made it to your tier 1 list? Yet you call for more nerfs? That is insane.
You're seriously using widdz, a guy who can make even nomad look OP, as your reasoning behind calling for a nerf to deadeye? Widdz makes deadeye look easy to run, because he is that good, and more importantly because of his mouse and keyboard aiming precision. Stuff like that isn't possible on console.
Deadeye is very clunky to run, even while using the pro red dot sight. You have to spec heavily into firearms to truly hit hard, which means having almost no survivability. It's the type of setup you need to run in a group. If a player rushes you and you're not fast in taking him down, it usually means instant death for you. For this reason and many more, I honestly don't see deadeye ever becoming the meta as you're claiming. Not when people generally like to run and gun. Deadeye is a highly specialized set that only few people run, because using it can put you at a huge disadvantage.
I wish you guys would think before calling for nerfs. Everything has already been nerfed to death. And because you're popular and have such a huge following, you will probably get your wish. 🙄
Best way to fix deadeye is to make the bonus active only when you look through a actual scope. Dont let it work with red dot or improved iron sights. Simple

This dead eye build will destroy dz and last stand.. I used it in pts i did like 60k damage per bullet on a player body with out any buff except pulse... This is just imbalanced... U cant do anything... 3 or 4 bullet and u r dead... No chance for fight i used it so i know how chese build it is... They should nerfed it... I used this build before widdz made that youtube video
I've used Deadeye all through 1.5 and dropped those mainstream alphabridge players. Knew it wouldn't be long before people started realising the power of Deadeye. With my glass cannon build I do 157k damage to the targets in the firing range.
Lol. I use deadeye with bolt action and I can one shot most people. stop complaining.
Use it how it was meant to be used. Get up high and provide support. 1 shoting alphas at distance is the most satisfying experience in 1.5.

Collin Delanzo last I checked, it's not a bug. I don't run alpha, but weapon switching is a mechanic that is in the game. And honestly, just because you don't do it, or lack the skill to even attempt it doesn't make it a bug when you're just getting out played by another person with a better understanding of game mechanics.
I've been playing since release never stopped. 2000 hours and 3500 rogue kills, i know everything about the game!! It's a bug bro, never was in game before 1.4!! The talents are not supposed to cary over, as soon as you switch from the sawed off it should take the adept or competent off..way to over powered!! I don't run with the alphabridge b.s!!! Weapon switching is a mechanic you're right, with lonestar and new reworked sets in 1.6, not like this!!!
Wait? Striker Garbage on console? Ever heard of aim or at least a shotgun. All these alpha plebs don't know what their talking about because all they can do is run in circles hip firing. When you actually have to aim in 1.6 Striker will be top tier.
Weasy Breezy yes, I don't know what is problem with aiming on consoles. it is more hard than on pc but if you play long enough it is damn easy.
Weasy Breezy its bugged on console. In the shooting range it works on body shots and headshots. But outside in the pve space it only prove on headshots which is bs since it works both ways in the shooting range.

andrew lapp it must be just you. I've used striker since 1.4. It stacks on both.
Going to try striker in 1.6, have one setup to farm Lexington. My problem with striker is lag and bad servers, you loose a lot of stake because of that.
If you can, do two videos, one for PvP and another for PvE

CZcamsrs need to buy a console instead of just playing on PC, maybe like that they can see how we feel playing. And they might notice how easy it is to get all headshots in PC as oppose to console.

Thank you for specifying that the SVD was the issue with Deadeye, not the gear set itself. Deadeye with any other rifle feels solid, but not stupidly overpowered.

understood your tier list. don't know why you caught flak for it. I don't have tons of time to min max sets your lists give me a fantastic idea for we'll rounded sets that so far have seen me through every situation I've encountered. keep up the great work Marco
People need stop crying about what CZcamss do or recommend. At the end of the day It works for them and their play styl and it might not work for you. Nobody told you to use what they use or suggest. What makes the Meta so hard overall is that gamers don't want to grind the game, to get better. They want CZcamss to give them the ultimate build to dominate others and fill their egos. Because the Metas have been so unbalanced. CZcamsrs provide information to maintain there subscribers and put in work to do so. Most use the information provided to fill there void of being in power. Instead of grinding a "loot game" to get better in what you do and come up with other possibilities. If you copy what you see then you haven't played the game your just another OP bot running the DZ like you can't be touched. At some point you will die. Thanks for the feed back Marco.

Striker isn't garbage on console, just like anything else... right weapons, right mods, its very strong. Love the vids brother... keep at it!

tx6cowboy yeah anybody that said it was garbage on console doesn't know what they're talking about. There's plenty of ways around the aiming issue; u gotta start the shots at the body and work your way up to the head, also using a shotgun to build your stack 1st helps as well

wtf I was amazed at the amount of effort you put into the tier video and how much you studied and tested to get your tier lost screw the people that are disagreeing because they weren't the ones testing it
you have to rember that widdz is an absolute beast at this game yes dead eye is strong but it's strongest with a team around you and if everyone is running it the I think that would make for some rilly tactical playing frome a lot of players of cors you will always get player who can get in and brakes the enemy's lines but that is just that skill base you went on about before the pts came out
Just change the dead eye set so that it only works with a scope where you actually zoom in like a minimum of 4x or 6x zoom or something. Easy fix, and that is how the set is meant to be played.

I played Dead eye since the begining of PTS. It's my favorite gear set.
It's a little bit OP. There are severals problem :
- SVD stability and accuracy.
- Sight Mods allow you Zoom without realy put you eye in the sight...
- PC aiming vs Console Aiming.
- RPM of some Marksman's rifle is to high.
I think the solution is to slighty modify one or two of this issues to make the Dead eye set balanced compare to other good set.
Don't forget, that Dead eye set punish people that aren't in cover. That why i love it. But, i understand it's a little bit to powerful, and most of all, this demand too much changes for the gameplay because players, in The Division, rush like if they are invicible in front of you, and without any strategy at all.
im one those players that has 1 piece of everything in my stash (except all the highends) and still have nfi what to use. but i was very drawn towards predator and striker. so im kinda glad you made the other vid. cheers
Still asking about mixed sets... What do you see as good two and three piece gear set mixes? Even with exotics and specific gold prices...

Great video man. Looking forward to the next and yes, Deadeye will be the next PC meta as well as the next meta for the above average console players. I think consoles might gravitate slightly more to the Lonestar/Cassidy as it will play a bit easier for them and, from first hand experience on XB1 during the shotgun meta, it will be brutal. Two-Tap is already a phrase on console

Marco, one thing you have to take into account with DeadEYE is the ease of use on console compared to PC. It is significantly harder to use DeadEYE on console. Your almost at a disadvantage on console.
Jew on a Bike 100 percent marco you need to check deadeye on console. look at the videos in my channel. its a bolt action yes but you can still see aiming is a challenge with the speed

MarcoStyle Great run down on gear sets. For your next gear set video maybe break them down into pve and, pvp. For instance alpha is a tier 1 pvp set, but teir 2 pve (I am by no means saying this is right just an example). I personally like videos like this, it helps me pick gear sets I can focus on since I don't play very often. Thanks again and keep up the great work.
Thanks for the additional set notes. I have every single gear set. The rolls are mostly garbage, but I do.
So yeah, still mostly using my AB up until 1.6 comes out - whereupon I'll likely switch to Striker (next least awful rolls) if I bother continuing at all.
Marco you should make a video of what/how you think the gear sets should be tweaked.
i use DeadEye, and don't 'understand what the knee jerk reaction to calling something OP once it does actual damage. which is the point of this game LEAVE IT ALONE!!!

Here we go with the Nerf Callout, instead buff/rework some of the dumb ass Gear Sets they made like Hunter's Faith, which is the Dumbest Gear Set they have made yet. When will they realize that every time they Nerf something, there will be a New Meta, Every Patch this has happened and I'm not joking about that, If they Nerf Deadeye then the Next Meta will be the All High End Setup, Then it will be Alpha Bridge all over again and so on and so on

it definitely is fine. why hate on more build diversity. it's not op at all. close combat it is not efficient enough to fight against smgs or AR's. it has great burst damage. maybe nerf the svd if too many scrubs cry about it but don't touch deadeye. it's finally being recognized as good now people want it nerfed
From what marco just showed that did not look fine, FAR from fine. It will make everyone go deadeye and there will be only 1 set worth using. Balance is tough and it is really imba that set with that gun... I know its fun to be able to smash people down in seconds, but not fun for the person on the other side of the fence. You gotta see all angels.
Opticalx widz is a fucking God at this game dude. he makes nomad in 1.3 look godly. this build is not an instant meta build. in last Stand it is very powerful because of the known respawn points and all of the advantages that the map placement gives you. in the dark zone it will still be good but not as effective as last Stand. PVE glass cannon sniper build sounds godly and that's what I will use. if you know there is a deadeye user then you have to play tactically cover to cover instead of just running straight for him. your gonna get melted. it's not like every one will be running in circles like 1.5 with deadeye
They nerf deadeye to the point of standing still and shooting whats the problem with it now??? Leave it alone

So what would be optimal rolls when crafting mods? Say i like firearms. Should i roll health or should i be more concerned about getting skill power?
separating the tier list for pve and pvp is indeed a great way to approach this. along with a pc and console side list aswell. since we all now that controllers have a harder time when it comes to shooting in this game. BUT I think console player also have a mouse and keyboard attachments aswell unless that haven't been making that since the ps2 and maybe ps3 days.
Most def try to split the GearSets between PVE vs PVP...and give bonus comments around console vs PC.
I'm currently using Hunter's Faith, and while I was slightly disappointed it wasn't ranked higher on your list I'm not going to complain or tell you you're wrong. I appreciate these videos, and obviously not just for confirmation that you agree with what I want to use. While the initial video didn't change my mind about Hunter's Faith (it feels impactful and useful to me, but again, if it doesn't for you I'm not going to say you're wrong about a feeling...) it gave me some thoughts on other builds. Keep up the good work
What is a good build for Last Stand if I want to be a healer but not die in two seconds?
Have they fixed the problem with Striker stacks dropping when you switch weapons? I feel like that could potentially have a huge impact on the gear sets effectiveness
Perhaps something like a grading system could be an idea Marco. You could give each set a grade for each situation you may use it in (PvE Solo, PvE Group, PvP Solo, PvP Group, Last Stand)
I swear people need to realise that of division and console division are completely different
End of the day Marco, any list video is always going to be open to opinion. What people seem to forget is the 'fixed variables' in play, such as your specific playstyle and proficiency which - no matter how hard you try - will always impact your decision making process. Please note I do not intend this to be criticism, merely a fact that is applicable to any CZcams/stream.
I think players expect to view your channel, be given the 'definitive' meta jack-of-all-trades build that they can complete everything successfully with and move on. Choice and variety are your enemy here, which is exactly what the game needs right now to keep it interesting. Personally I welcome many of the changes coming in 1.6 and find this patch somewhat refreshing compared to Massive's typical design missteps.
I'm from Germany so I didn't understand what you told us about and I just wanted to ask if there is somebody who can tell me which tear set is good for playing in the DarkZone.

Very good video Marco, people out there need to realise this is not a definitive list that HAS to be obeyed, its your guide based on your research.
I watch your guides & then incorporate that into my own opinions based on MY research, others should do the same.
While i don't always agree with your opinions, i respect them as you have put time into testing/playing with those gear sets, i may have a different opinion based on my testing etc so ill go with what i know & agree to disagree, without feeling the need to slag you off on your vids or Twitter as sadly, a few seem to do.

Marco, can we see how the Midas works with Hunter's Faith in a group please. I am on console, so I cannot play the PTS, but looking at the set bonuses I think it could be really strong.

What do you think about changing Deadeye to that the four piece bonus only procs on targets 60 meters or more away? Or maybe change it to only work with Single Bolt?
Or change it so it only works when using snipers with a certain sight? So maybe still allow the SVD to be able to use the Red Dot sight, but the 4 piece bonus won't work unless using other sights?
See if you can get these suggestions over to massive..or at least one of these.....I believe you are slightly more popular in the Division Community than me...

Imo u should breakdown each gear set and rank them in a pve tier than a separate pvp tier, while bringing up pc vs console play and unique play styles when necessary. Either way keep up the great work Marco
Make it so Red dot sights aren't allowed on snipers? So you have to actually zoom in properly?
Do you need to roll health in the vest in the new meta? i just got a barret with low firearm, ammo, health which i guess will be rolled to all resist and and damage to elites
For setting up your tiers, I would suggest starting with 2 categories, PC/Console. Then have subcategories of Solo/Grouped. Under them, have another set of subcategories of PvP/PvE.
@Marco if i wear my skulls gloves with final measure it breaks the gearset and it stops all the bonuses esp the grenade diffuse.
Have you heard about it before or am I the unlucky one?
Aftab Darogar Skull gloves aren't meant to be used with gear sets. It's better to use it with an all high and build.
Marco, I think how you should do it is to give each build an overall score, say, out of 100. That score would be comprised of subscores that correspond to each category. for example, if a gear set earned a 50/50 for the group play category but received a 10/50 for the solo play category, it's overall score would be 60/100. Obviously you could have more categories, that was just an example
The best way is to separate PvP from PvE, as I commented on your last video. This gives the most prospect. For Console x PC, you can just talk about the particular set performance on both, if it's easier or harder to make it work. Let's be honest, calling Striker trash on Console because it's harder to aim, is just an excuse for people that don't know how to aim properly using a controller.
Is it HARDER? Sure. But it's not IMPOSSIBLE either.

RoNon right, and like you said, PVP is different from PVE. Striker typically does a lot better in PVE cause it's way easier to consistently hit a nearby target, as opposed to being in gun fights against other players in groups of 4.

great reflection on your work. I think proper way to categorize your new videos would be something like "Striker PvE console/PC build" Lay out the 'better' uses of the set up front.
You did a tier list based on solo players and that is best in my opinion because if you have a group and they all perform as well as you have intended well you see where I’m going when you put them together then but I understand you on this video and the last video
Is it worth running a 4 piece set along with another 2 piece.
I like the pve and pvp split up then specify any outlying differences between pc and consoles.
And what happen with destructive?? They would be no armor right then it would be usseful

I think the best option to fix the SVD Deadeye build would be to make it so the red dot sight doesn't activate the four piece bonus. Glad I kept my deadeye pieces though, ha.

When is patch 1.6 being released?
If you ever make another tier list, you could signify a high end build on the list with a red Skulls MC gloves icon, as that is kind of the core of a high end build.
Separate lists for solo and group play could be cool as well, but not absolutely necessary, especially if you keep the good descriptions for all sets that you have currently.
Also, here's a random question: Do the Skulls MC gloves trigger with the new weapon sets? I'm wondering, since the description for the gloves only specifies "set", instead of "gear set".

Soo.. you never played with deadeye, and you are calling for a nerf. Wow, very well researched.. why don't you try playing with it for a day in 1.6 before calling for a nerf.. cause you are wrong. You have to speck so high in firearms witch leaves you weak in other areas. You really screwed up on this one man.

Scotty_P_582 Exactly. My deadeye has over 8k firearms which leaves me with very little health. One hit from a single seeker mine and I'm dead. Most players can one shot me easily if they rush me. People need to do their research before calling for nerfs. It's annoying as fuck.

Good video! I watched the other one yesterday and had no issues with it. Ofc you have to put everything into perspective...but obviously some people didn't understand the tier system you made...
But...The DeadEye thing you mention in this video, is it good for PvE or was that OP-ness mostly a PvP issue? Because if it is decent in PvE I can see myself use either that or the Sentry's Call and a DMR.
I use the Alfa Bridge on a sniper character atm and since that set is changing it's a perfect time to switch to a different set entirely for my sniping, switch things up a bit! So that's why I ask :)
I exclusively play PvE content btw, mostly alone or with a friend or two.
I'm a console player and have been using Striker since day one, other than during 1.3 where a Sentry sniper was best as I play 98% of time solo. I use Striker to solo all Challenging missions, and DZ - PVP-PVE.
I think what I'm seeing with what you made for your list vs what people are saying is it really depends on how you use each gear set and to be honest, how good you are at using it or generally just how you play as a player. To me, despite being on console and a completely solo player, your list makes sense.
Marco i know this has nothing to do about gear but more of a quality of life. i think that when you scroll over a safehouse in your map that it should list wether there is a gear or weapons vender. im sure this would make alot of agents lives easier including mine
since striker was released its always been labeled as if your aim is shit do not use it you will get no set bonus. the only reason I think myself and many others stopped using it is because when you used to switch weapons you would lose your stack, and they have recently fixed it finally.

For your next list I'd recommend splitting it up into 4 categories: Solo PvE, Group PvE, Solo PvP, Group PvP.
