    sorry I know this was 8 months ago, but it is true that Marco doesn't like the old songs that much. He joined on Century Child after Tuomas told him that the music would be heavier, Wishmaster-Oceanborn wasn't really his cup of tea. As for Tuomas, he did write some embarrassing sutff (Nymphomaniac Fantasia, lmao) and iirc Wishmaster is a song inspired by Dragonlance and other fantasy stuff so I can see why he would find them naive ;)

    Skeletons in Tuomas's songwriting closet? The first line of Nymphomaniac Fantasia.

    @singerprissy they didnt say that it is bad. they said that its over played and they just got bored of it because of playing it so often. and i think you should check the definition of metal, metal is not only some over distorted heavy guitar riffs and stuff like that.

    @singerprissy sorry i didn't mean to offend you in any way. and I respect your opinion. but i don't think they necessarily meant that the songs are bad, because when i see them playing it live they look so emotional and it seems they are actually enjoying it. I don't think that they are that good at acting :D Yes i agree nightwish is not heavy metal or something like that but it goes very well in symphonic-gothic-power metal genre

    Or maybe it has something do with Wishmaster not being a song that is made for Anette's vocals? :P

    My intention was not to start a fight, but to state an a opinion. I know that metal is not overly distorted guitar riffs. I thought he meant the structure of the song was over played, I suppose I misunderstood. Can anyone really give a word by word definition of metal?

    Why is it that people can't take one bad opinion about their favorite band? They always have to prove you're wrong. I am tired of dealing with that shit. I'm just not going to express my opinions anymore because fans can't take it. And arguing will be a waste of my time.

  • @singerprissy
    @singerprissy Před 12 lety +1

    I understand you can get tired of playing the same song. But I did not like it that Marco said ''people actually like those songs." And that Tuomas said that the songs are naive. Which to me implies they don't like the old songs. You assume I know nothing about metal. Now that is naive. Respect a persons opinion even though you don't like it. Again, I will not fight with you.

    For a guy that gets paid to interview people, he aint doing the greatest job :/ asking vague and weird questions and with rather poor english for a professional :O sorry if i sound mean, but i just find it odd when you choose to do this for a living. You can tell from Tuomas and Marco that the guy is asking some rather weird questions, that they never get asked

    Over played? Wishmaster? It's the only metal song they actually play now days. I think they should leave the metal genre completely, or just leave the music business. So Wishmaster is a bad over played naive song....and Amaranth is a masterpiece. God what happened to them? Now I wish I hadn't seen this interview.
