Sharpness and contrast can really be improved, however, I find vanilla DCS already too oversaturated……
that background music though
intense!
Ha. Yeah I’ve been running out of things to use I hadn’t used before
@@CommandT it's often better use new songs like you did imo as long as it's not satanic. soo many channels turn annoying because they reuse same tracks over and over
This is great! Thanks, I would also love to see a video on how to save and export videos so they look so great in CZcams
Well sadly what I see on my screen is far better than what CZcams is showing even in 4k. You just can’t get around the compression 😢
@@CommandT I mean how to export to you tube. Your video looks super sharp and good on youtube
I use Reshade already like 2 years and to me i don't want without it. It add so much more. Also the viewing distance is much better when you use Reshade, its less hazy and easier to spot targets. In my opinion is DCS way over saturated so my settings are the opposite of yours i think. I really hope the satellite textures for Afghanistan will balance things out. Offcourse everything depends on your monitor color grading.
it will be a very nice option after they do some optimization updates, for now i don't think my rx 580 2048 can handle it lol
Eh, you have some color grading options (including a saturated one) and a sharpening slider built in. Most reshade users don't do much else than that with it. I'm not sure if it's necessarily needed
2:05 I like what you did there lol.
lmao it’s really well placed
I prefer the vanilla version because it is more realistic especially with the haze and lighting, but for a great movie - cinema experience, that's great.
Haven't we already got something like this in settings?
Everyone likes it differently, but for me og vanila with gamma at 2.0 is most realistic for me. Bit Yeah sometimes its so steamy 😂
But also thanks for making this type of a video, Appreciate that
Same here, I prefer the OG vanilla settings. Reshade is "too vivid" to my tastes.
@@March-man Pleasure!
@@PeypaMikko-1842 That's fair but you can tune ReShade to your liking. You can even take away colour if you so desire!
Watching this on OLED / fully color calibrated screens makes you wonder if it's made for colorblind people? I guess everyone's taste is different but this looks stunningly weird.
Do you have color proofing options available to you? Maybe color vision weakness?
Anyway, yes, re-shade exists but the game has built in options already.
I can agree on "How to make DCS look DIFFERENT! ReShade Settings for people loving mushroom visuals" 🤣
I agree it does look a little weird, I think if you have a high quality monitor it provides enough color. If you're using an old monitor or a different panel that isn't for color this would be fantastic.
Just adjust your digitalvibrance in the nvidia control panel. Same results.
It really isn't. Soooo much more tunability within ReShade!
definetely not lol
Will this work in vr too?
I see no reason why it wouldn't!
Edit: someone else says that apparently it doesn't work in VR. Strange!
@@CommandTworks on my vr
F-5 content maybe?
Perhaps!
Q: is reshade free??
Yep
I wish reshade worked in VR in DCS, but no :(
It doesn't work in VR?
@@CommandT No, for OpenXR Reshade only applies to the 2D mirror, not the headset screen :(
@@dcsdummypilot Some people claim to have gotten it working ... only having to use the mirror for the menu. I have been trying, and have been unable to make it work. I really wish it worked, and would have thought the OpenXR support would have made it work.
@@mikewright2858 Me neither and I am very exceptical on that. Multi threading use OpenXR, but maybe them are using Single treading without OpenXR, IDK.
Last versions of reshade applies the filters for OPENXR, but only in the 2D mirror, not in the headset. I think this is even in the reshade documentation
On the other hand you can use OpenXR tools to apply some filters and improve the VR image. In my case I have reduced the saturation, because DCS is oversaturated , and it looks waaay more realistic
