    • @cre8ive_customs
      @cre8ive_customs  Před 7 měsíci

      Nah bud. I had the evo box locked to fwd. You can run a proton gti gearbox i cant remember 8f the gti flywheels are a bolt in. Or you could get the flywheel machined to run in a fwd box

    • @cre8ive_customs
      @cre8ive_customs  Před 7 měsíci

      The rear axle is from a libero gt. Awd wagon. It's pretty common in NZ. They are a perfect axle as there 30mm shorter wheelbase and crown and pinion are easily changeable from gsr ratios to evo

      @tearsz3012 that the route alot go as the hilux diff and alot easier to come by. From memory is like 1260mm. Should be able to find it online easy enough

    Hey mate, ive been thinking of buying a proton, i was just wondering if the front bumper swap is as easy as taking the front bumper off and putting the evo bumper on or is it more complicated than that? hope that makes sense, cheers. Great video btw, love the car.

    • @cre8ive_customs
      @cre8ive_customs  Před 2 lety

      Thanks mate, it's not as straightforward as a bumper swap. You need bonnet, gaurds, headlights aswell. If doing a basic sedan front you'll need a grill too
      Then youll need to trim the headlight where grill clips.on or remover the factory grill mounts from the car
      So pending which way you go will determine what you trim/remove

    • @cre8ive_customs

      Nah mate. Bolts on with all the panels and lights etc. Only thing you need to mod is cut the factory grill mounts. They dont clear the grill tabs in the headlights

      @@cre8ive_customs would you have any recommendations on how to lower one then? My son has bought one and is in the process of starting a a build and I’m just trying to research and help him out.

    • @cre8ive_customs
      @cre8ive_customs  Před měsícem +2

      there are 2 ways.
      reset the Leafs. Or do an axle "flip". (making it axle over instead of under)
      the flip requires you to mod the axle. you cut off the old perches and rotate 180 deg or weld on a new perch on the other side, then move the shock mount over enough to clear the ubolt. this is the best way, but is the more involved way. unless you get an axle to mod. then its an easy swap. You will need to drill a hole is the bolt plates to locate onto the spring as the dowel is on the underside. This is what I did before I converted to AWD
      you will also need to relocate the brake proportional valve rod too as it will be too long the bracket it slides in is on the other side
      there is a jumbuck group on FB where there is abit of info on the already

    • @cre8ive_customs
      @cre8ive_customs  Před rokem +1

      Sure is. Only thing youll need to do is cut out 2 brackets that hold the grill in on the jumbicj to clear headlights. Or trim headlights down to clear brackets
