I feel the best performance horses are the ugliest.... my favorite two horses so far, looks wise, are the Golden Turkoman, and the Blood Bay Thoroughbred with its glossy rust red/brown coat (hence the name)

best horse is definitely the turkoman. when you're used to arabians the turkoman feels like you're riding a tank. a tank that's super fast and fearless. i just bought her and was at level 1 bonding and she trampled the fuck out of 2 wolves without bucking me. you feel invincible when riding her. she feels so strong
did i buy the wrong turkoman, i got the one from the tumbleweed stables and it has great stats but still gets freaked out pretty easily. is the gold coat one from van horn better?

Nice, not many players realizes that they first encounter with the cowboy fixing his horses hind shoe and get kicked to death is riding a rare American Standardbred, the Palomino Dapple. That is the only time I have ever seen this horse and you were smart to keep it. The other times I encounter the same cowboy and horse it a Blue Roan Nokota. It always seems to be a race horse.

My favorites are the Turkoman [silver], Thoroughbred [black], Andalusian [gray], Missouri Fox Trotter [black]. My affinity for darker coats is quite obvious, but a must say that the Nakotas, American Paints, and the Appaloosas are very beautiful

Question, im in chapter 4 i was able to glitch into blackwater without bounty hunters chasing me, and in tumbleweed too, but is there anyway to unlock the stables as aruther? (I plan on keeping him alive for as long as i can)
There will be nothing in the stables as most horses for sale are only available in the epilogue. Same as if you go to the San Denis stable before ch.4 there is nothing for sale.
The sad thing is when I was riding the legendary cougar attacked Rachel John's horse and I was sad😑😣😭

All these beautiful horses and now the newest added rare horses and we can only own 4 of them at a time. So wish they change that about the game especially when some of them you only have the chance to owning one time if some thing happens to it then you can’t get another one. Like the White Arabian ! I can’t bare to part with the ones I have now and want some of these others badly lol.
If you're on pc, you could always look to see if a mod has been created to allow more ownership. If you're on console, like me, yah, it kinda sucks we can't own more than 4. :(

Fun fact. It literally pays to have Maxed honor. You get 50% discount on the most expensive horse. Once you Fully bond the horse, stable will pay full price for it. Way more money than robbing trains. But...of course one will still rob a train.

Hey so I failed to catch the white Arabian Horse today... :( and iv already finished the game once and got high ending but I just wanted to play as Arthur agian.. so now I’m on chapter 3 and I rlly don’t wanna go back for the white Arabian so any good horses in chapter 3 that u recommend?
Just ride up to the horse super fast and lasso it, then hold the lasso on him as you move closer up when you get off your horse, after that you quickly go to the side of the horse once your close enough so you can mount the horse. Once you mount the horse you’ll automatically be taming him as he bucks to get you off, but it’s a easier and quicker way of getting any horse in rd2 trust me. You don’t need all that calling and slowly walking stuff when you can calm the horse and not get buck off when lassoing and mount off the bat.
go for a different Arabian, there is one you can catch near wapiti and one near owanjilla, i’m pretty sure they both have better stats. one of them has a chestnut coat and the other is brown with some cool white lines. if you have the money i would recommend buying the black Arabian or the gold coat turkoman in Saint Denis when they become unlocked (they might not unlock until chapter 4). The Scarlett meadows stable has a missouri foxtrotter which is arguably the best horse in the game but, i don’t think it’s unlockable until later in the game.
What stage in the game do you need to be to be able to buy the dark bay turkoman in blackwater?

Unfortunately you can't. You can't own gang horses. The only options you have are what's in the stable, wild or waiting until the pc version comes out and modding it. Sorry.
You can when you go to chapter 4 don't do mission go explore your camp and you see a stable all gangs horse you can get all horses
In the chapter 2 after the mission when you go hunting the bear with hosea, you can find Baylock (Micah's horse) without a mount, all you have to do is put your mount
It’s a special skin just for Micah like Bill’s Brown Jack or John’s Old boy

So the black arabian is good-looking, fast, yet skittish. What are the pros of the Missouri and the Turkoman (besides the Turkoman's looks)?
The MFT has a higher top speed but less acceleration compared to the Arabian, it also is a nice sized horse (not to big or small). They also don’t buck you off unless it’s a fast predator, they have good stamina and decent health but stamina doesn’t matter as you can click R3 every ten seconds to refill stamina at Level 4 Bonding. The Turkoman has the same speed as Arabian but less acceleration, if you get into a lot of fights this is the horse for you. It has lots of health and good stamina (but stamina doesn’t matter considering the R3 unlimited stamina tactic). They rarely buck and are not scared of anything except cougars and panthers, and can take lots of shots (horse is a bit larger than the MFT but a good size).

@@elcapitan9065 I don't want to give away spoilers but by the end of the game you will end up with a certain amount of money. There's also the addition of all the treasure maps you can make money from. I pre-ordered and got an extra treasure map which gave out $5000 (Edited to add: maybe it was $3000 and not $5000, I can't remember. Sorry.). Plus at one point in the game I did do a gold bar glitch (before the game was ever patched) in my second playthrough. You can see all the money I had at one point in my trapper saddles video from my second playthrough. (I donated the majority of it to camp to see if there would be any commentary on it. There wasn't. :/ ) I don't want to spoil anything for anyone, so I'm not going to say how much you will make by end of game. But I hope this answers your question. :)

That might be because of the built in economy. They don't want you selling too many horses back to back. If it's been a couple in game days in between sales or it's your first time selling, it may just be a bug.

You probably know by now, but theres a blood bay thoroughbred. Its pretty fast but has low acceleration but once you build a bond its an amazing, beautiful horse.
Its a rare horse in the wild. I found mine around strawberry but others found it in new hanover. It took me DAYS to find.
.... Worse yet im about to trade it for the brindle thoroughbred.

If you are playing on console, the answer is no. If you are playing on pc, technically the answer is still no, however someone could make a mod for that. At this point you'd have to reacquire all the horses you had (repurchase or taming) and go through the bonding process all over again. Sorry. :( Hope that helps. :)

The time stamps do show the actual base prices of the horses without the discount. They're in the pinned comment and description. I didn't want to go around shooting a bunch of people to bring down my honour to have it show only the base price when I recorded. lol But you can see the base price next to the discount in the popup before purchasing during the video, so the base prices are available, just a little darker. :)

That's the tiger striped bay mustang (there's only one, just like the white arabian) and it's located in New Austin. Up on the cliffs between Fort Mercer and Rio Del Lobo Rock. I found it near a big boulder, in kind of a clearing. Closer to the "Rio" writing on the map. That's about the best that I can describe it, so I hope that helps. :)

l0nely死者の王 lol if you max out the adrennes bonding it health its lvl 10 which is max i think your getting mistaken for the bay roan adrennes you get early, the strawberry roan you get in chapter 6.

Can you not stable horses in Beachers Hope (John's House)?
You can keep your main horse at Beachers Hope (any version of the game, console or pc) and a secondary one, just like you could at any of the camps during the main chapters. But you do risk losing your secondary at any time (just like during the main story.) There's a couple posts around the house to attach them to and a pen which they'll sometimes be spawned to or you can leave them in.
If you wanted to keep any more horses you've purchased or caught there, as far as consoles go, to my understanding the answer is still, unfortunately, no you can't. I have no idea about the pc version, since I don't own it. If I had to guess, I'd say the answer to that is no as well. But I also imagine that's probably something someone will likely make a mod for eventually, which would be super nice for pc players at least. :) Luckily Blackwater isn't too far away. It's annoying to go back and forth to trade out when you want to but I suppose it could be worse.

You can purchase the black arabian from chapter 4 onwards and you can get the white arabian from chapter 2 onwards. The only thing is, once you've caught and tamed the white arabian, that's it. If you sell it or it dies, etc, you cannot get another one. Hope that helps. :)

Why does none of these hoses show ip on the stables for me im in chapter 2
The stables and specific horses are locked until certain chapters. Valentine (0:10) opens in Chapter 2. Although one horse will be available at Strawberry and Scarlett in Chapter 2 as well. Chapter 3 should open all the horses in Scarlett (4:30). Chapter 4 will open all horses in Saint Denis (7:55). Van Horn (10:50) I'm not entirely sure about. I know one horse will become available in an earlier chapter but I don't think it truly becomes unlocked until Chapter 6. Epilogue 1 will open up both Blackwater (16:25) and Tumbleweed (19:05). I hope this helps with your choices. :)
Saint Denis has no horses available until Chapter 4. That stable is story line location dependent. Hope that helps. :)
Hard to say. There are no wrong choices and a lot of it comes down to personal preferences. A few of the horses I've chosen throughout the game haven't been statistics based but more off the fact that I liked how they looked. (Hence my riding my main horse, the Tiger Striped Mustang in the video.) But if you want a stats based opinion... For Chapter 2, if you want to buy, I'd say the Palomino. If you want a free one, I'd say the White Arabian, up by Lake Isabella (west side as you're looking at the map) just under Colter camp from Chapter 1. There is an online map that shows all the spawn points for wild horses, if you are interested... rdr2map.com/ Hope that helps. :)
I rotated main horses and temporary horses throughout the story. It's hard to remember which I had when but I think it goes in this order... (Keep in mind I was at basically max honour the entire game and got massive discounts.) Main horses: Chapters 2-6 > Pre-order War Horse, Palomino, Dutch Warmblood, Nokota from Saint Denis, the Black Arabian (became my most used) from Saint Denis after my War Horse was killed. (The Warmblood and Nokota I only had for a short time.) Epilogues > Fox Trotter, Turkoman, Grey Bay Arabian and for the most part my constant, Tiger Striped Mustang. For temporary horses: Chapters 2-6 > (All wild.) Mustang, Nokota, Appaloosa and an American Paint. Epilogues > White Arabian, which I do my absolute best not to lose, even if that means reloading a save. lol Second playthrough (dishonourable) I stuck with the War Horse and Black Arabian for Chapters 2-6. Some of the horse genders are randomized. What is shown in the video may not be what you'll see in your game. Other times, if you purchase a horse as one gender and then it dies or you sell it, if you go back to purchase that same horse, it may be for sale as another gender. Some, like the Missouri Fox Trotter for example, sell as one gender only. (I'm not 100% positive on that but I've only been able to purchase male MFT's in my game, so I assume it's likely the same for others too.) If you own a PC version of the game, I would assume someone has or will eventually put out a mod to pick the gender of your horse. Hope that helps. :)
What good horses can i get in chapter 2
For chapter 2, there isn't many choices. I'd say the Palomino (00:29) for speed and acceleration. Or the Dutch Warmblood (02:25) for the best health and stamina. Either will depend on your preference and ultimately how much money you have. Hope that helps. :)

True, I was thinking of only the purchasable ones. But yes, the White Arabian has a stamina of 6 and health of 6, which far exceeds any horse you can buy in Chapter 2. :)

I think the Arabian is a great horse to have, to take you through the whole story. Definitely a top 3. The other two horses I would suggest to consider would be the Turkoman (09:22) and the Fox Trotter (07:06). Both have better top speeds and temperaments, the Arabian can be quite skittish and will take longer to calm down and will run/buck you off quicker around predators. Although the Arabian has better handling since it is an elite horse. All comes down to personal preference really, there is no wrong choice. :) My first play-through was with the pre-order War Horse until Chapter 4 when he got killed and I was perfectly happy with him.
After completing the game I only have 3 stalls , how come ?
Unless you have a PC version of the game and someone has created a mod to own more stalls, you are suck with only 3 stalls no matter what completion level you are in the game. Hope that helps. :)

HOW TO BUY HORSE BUGGY
You can't buy a horse buggy in story mode unfortunately, only online. As for online, you can only buy delivery, hunting or bounty wagons. If you have the pc version, there might be a mod available. Hope that helps. :)

I can't remember if this was from my first or second playthrough that I took these clips from anymore. In my first playthrough there was a money glitch where you could get $15,000 from one treasure box. On my second playthrough, I had saved all the treasure hunting until after I finished the game. (I hope I'm remembering this properly, it's been a while. It might be the reverse. Saved treasure until last on first playthrough and glitched money second playthrough. I feel like I'm confusing myself. lol) But I also pre-ordered the base game, so I got an extra $3000 treasure map which definitely helped to boost my final money amount. Anyway, I hope that answered your question. :)
