Doug, you CAN just tap the screen. Go to Settings>Display>MMI> and turn off haptic feedback. It will get rid of the need to push the screen with each press.

The function that requires more force to recognize your finger can simply be turned off in the settings.
It should be off by default if you ask me

(And also not a fan of the keyholder. Works ok if you don't have anything else on the keyring, less useful if you have keys)

It’s amazing handling for a sedan, no sedan will ever steer like a huracan, pista or gt3rs it is just physically impossible. Also styling is incredible… for a sedan are you seriously going to tell me this looks as good as something like an 812 or amg gt or 911?

Doug OMG! You did it again, RS7 has stepped it up huge. Not many things in 2020 are going will, but as for your regular car review video they are great entertainment, full of precise specs and stats. Looking forward to the next one
I REALLY hope more people see this, including Doug. His complaint about the “force touch” to the screen in order to react is false. There is an option in the MMI setting(Display settings) where you can deactivate that option OR change the level of force needed the screen to respond. So please do not fall in the trap with the negative comment. The system works perfectly, amazing high resolution, Apple car play looks amazing with Waze or Google maps.

The RS7 has been one of my favorite cars since the first one came out in 2014, but I'm a little disappointed in the curb weight of the new generation. The old one was a heavy car...this one is 500lbs heavier - just shy of 2.5 tons :( Still, what a magnificent car.
Seriously this car is so bad ass. I hope they never discontinue it.

In the morning you’re about an inch taller than you were before you went to bed, due to spine compression while you’re awake, due to gravity. When you lay down for several hours the spine decompresses. It’s quite well documented.

10:23 I believe that can be configured in settings to be either a touch or a press. I have used the 2019 A6 and it has the same interior as this and on that you can configure whether you want a touch or press to engage with the screens.

You’re not supposed to within at least the first1,000 miles. Then, you can increase the rpm’s until you hit 3,000 miles. Nothing like trashing a car that costs $120K. That’s why any of the Audi’s I purchased, I made sure it had no test drives and nobody molested it yet.

What I would be interested in seeing is the voice commands. I don't use it, but people who don't like the touch screen might like it. IIRC you tell the car you are cold and the mic determines if it was the passenger or driver and increases the temperature just for them.

Doug - I have the SQ8. You can turn off the haptic feedback of the glass screens and it will work like a normal smartphone and not require the hard press. I did that within a day or buying ours.
