I like the lower power consumption of the 4070, even if it gets lower performance, by a tiny bit, in some titles. In theory it should lead to lower temps too.

4070 could have been good card if its name could be 4060
Just goes to show how terrible 4070m for its class, especially considering that Lovelace is a breakthrough in efficiency. 4080m needs just 65 watts to perform like 4070m does.
Thanks for the testing! Can we expect 1440p and 4k results though? 3070 ti would probably destroy 4070m at 4k due to memory bandwidth lol
Also, the 1% low of 4070 seems be 10% slower than that of 3070ti.

@@mnomateus An RTX 4060 Mobile will be able to perfectly max out WoW.
At this point it's more a CPU/Ram Question and how many addons you're using.
The 4060 Mobile is in the Ballpark of a RTX 2070 Super (Desktop) To give you an idea...
Can you do a video on how to both overclock and undervolt intel HX CPU don't think anyone has done that as yet. U can also talk about if it make sense to buy overclocable laptop cpu
What were the PL2s on the CPUs? The 12700H was getting 10-35W more power.
A 3070 ti 140W could be found at like 1 lakh to 1.2 cheapest one at 90k lakh nowadays whereas 4070.. 1.35 lakh starting range

A 4070 laptop is what a "4060" SUPPOSED TO BE . NVIDIA changed entire skew name a tier above .🤧

with 8gb and memorybus its 1% low is 10% slower than 3070ti in 1440p.
It cringes me till date that the GA104 3070Ti mobile only had 8GB of VRAM with that wide 256 bit memory bus. And on the other hand, the 4070 Mobile had so much potential but it's the most shameless upsell to the 4080. The 4070 with only 8GB VRAM and a premium price association has absolutely created a gigantic gap in the 40 series mobile gaming laptop stack where the 4060 is pretty decent for the price at around 1200 usd but for the next true upgrade you gotta jump all the way to the 4080 spending well over a 1000 extra dollars.
yep, and 4070 desktop version isn't on laptops due to Nvidia's greed. Same with 4060 ti 16GB, which has reasonable power consumption and a small PCB, but greed again made them scam laptop users.
Pretty much not much of a generational upgrade at all…
you should have shown the 1% lows number . 4070 is a stuttery mess especially in 1440p.
You can estimate the smoothness and 1% low with the frame time graph.
In benchmark runs just 1-2 single stutters can totally destroy the whole 1% low for that run which means I would often have to record multiple runs every time to be sure it doesn't happen...complicated. time consuming. Can't always do that sorry 😐

I'd usually be completely on your side considering this.
But an effective 30W difference is so small, you'd have to play for 10.000 hours to save 90€ (assuming 0,3€ per kWh)
