I love Rabbi David Bar-Hayim's common sense approach to Torah, Tanakh and Talmud, he is not afraid to tell the truth, even when it hurts!

This is a Master Piece that should be heard and shared. Unfortunately many people especially torah scholars may be afraid to here the simple truth.

Hello, I am in the beginning of my Torah studies and am confused by this. In order to learn in the most correct way, I should first start learning LMD Yerushalmi? Thanks

I have to disagree. The Darkness of the Talmud Bavli has nothing to do with being written in Babylon as opposed to Israel. When Moses left Egypt and traveled through the wilderness, one could say that he was in the wilderness therefore in exile, but Moses was with HaShem so there was no exile and there was no darkness. When one dwells in the holy tent, there is no exile and no darkness. When Moses disobeyed and hit the rock, then suddenly Moses was in both exile and in darkness. You could even say that disobedience left him naked and bald. To be naked means that ones mind has strayed from the purity of true Torah study and given in to the evil inclination. To be bald means that the angel of HaShem has born withness to your sin and has backed away from you. Your head is no longer covered like Job's hedge, but exposed for the Accuser to see and bare witness to your folly. So in the shame of guilt and sin, with the dark light of the accuser's mockery and laughter, the writer of the Talmud Bavli had a most difficult spiritual journey, to find his way back to HaShem.

@lonemonk1, I realize that you are speaking in euphemism or metaphor, but do not all spiritual concepts have a manifest physical counterpart? I wonder what then will be said when it is determined that eating cooked and inappropriate foods is the physical root of baldness in humans. Keeping in mind that eating cooked foods is a violation of the natural biological laws of this dimension. And such laws are holy if the Creator is Holy, or Evil if the Creator is evil.
