Thanks for the vid. Would love to see a valve body rebuild, including check valve, o-ring and separator plate replacement, of a 6hp28x - especially the e-shift gen2 valve body in the BMW X5 e70s (normally the 3L diesels). Keep up the good work
hi, pity didnt have more time today to make a vid, we did one in a 6hp26 put in a sonnax zip kit as well as solenoid set, sep plate and valve body vac test. will definitely make one when time permits. thanks & cheers
ZF transmission is well engineered, easily serviced, unlike other brands it’s usually transmission out, strip down and rebuild.

11:50 if you have some other issue hooking them up could damage them with a plug and play type of approach. They said the same thing when we purchased a new control board for our furnace. They do want people trying to randomly swap parts or ruin a new part and return it after they figured out theirs another issue.

Good to see some land rover videos, can you please explain the floating shift issue ?
I think this is what i'm experiencing in my 2007 discovery 3 with ZF6HP26 trans, lower gears i get odd/slow/hard/ delayed shifting and somewhere between 50-60kph i get what feels like a slight nudge in the rear then it faults and i get a P0730 incorrect gear ratio code.
If i baby it past 60kph its as smooth as.
hi, depending on mileage, is usually a cross leak on valve body to case seals ( they flatten out and/or harden ), contaminated and/or leaking solenoids and can be loose/worn-out end plugs on valve body. we supply all parts you may need if you`re in australia. contact us via our facebbok link in description. cheers
@@YepThatsIt thanks i'm in melbourne, i replaced the bridge, tube and mech sleeve last year but no change. Car has 220k and never towed or used offroad till i bought it 5 years ago, did the metal pan upgrade when i did the seals.
Any Idea which one is the shift selenoid b electrical?
hi, sometimes its dependent on the scan tool. it can either be b shift or 2nd gear or can also be pressure control solenoid b. on these trans there are more than one solenoid working for gear ranges. cheers
