What a blast! Brad Pitt, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Brian Tyree Henry were fantastic, and if you watch their press junkets together, they clearly had a great time working together. Love that Brad Pitt did this wild movie.
About the length of the film... i think that the duration of the film was kept the same as the time it takes for the bullet train to go from tokyo to kyoto... as they do in the movie. The makers probably wanted to stay with the length and added backstories and segues to elongate the story. Absolutely loved all the minute details of this!

I have no idea whatsoever why this movie wasn’t a hit in both the box office and with critics, it’s freaking amazing! I would’ve loved a spin off movie about Lemon and Tangerine. On top of all of that this almost looks and feels like an anime.
Also Fun Fact about Boomslangs: They are extremely feared because their venom is a hemotoxin, meaning it causes both internal and external bleeding, but it symptoms don’t appear for HOURS not seconds after the bite. Also this is honestly one of the best massive ensemble movies I have seen outside of an Avengers movie in years.

In my country there was NONE marketing and advertising for this movie. When they released the official (and terrible looking) poster, thats when I first heard about the movie. After that I read the negative american reviews and I almost gave up to watch the film.
When it was premiered in my country I changed my mind and still watched it and it was a HUGE surprise for me. It's a freakingly fun movie. Shame.
i knew this movie from its first trailer but i thought i couldn't watch it because it was released in theaters and i don't have time to go to the nearest one which is still a bit far until i saw it on netflix
Probably because it’s stupid. Both on the screen and on the page. Plot holes galore and just nonsense from beginning to end. A couple action scenes are ok but for the most part it’s middle of the pack stuff. The ending is pretty terrible as well
This movie is a big success on the box office and earned mixed to positive reviews. So not sure what you're on about.
Aaron Taylor Johnson’s performance is why I love this movie; so much so that i replicated his suit for my cousins wedding … And it worked like a charm !!😎

Ryan Reynolds cameo was unexpected
I kinda expected him because its David directing and they had Brad in to cameo in Deadpool 2. I didnt expect Channing tatum in it. Although he and Brad have a similar situation for the lost kingdom film...

my favorite moment has to have been the reveal of Hiroyuki Sanada's boss Move for his Grandsons Protection by literally having the Nurse be a Hidden assassin assigned to protect his son. That's some gangster shit
Also I love Brad Pitts vibe in this movie. He knew how to defend himself but he actually went out of his way to talk out a situation

You were both right about the vest, tangerine gave lemon the vest and told him to wear it but lemon said what if they shoot me in the neck ? Funny enough he wears the vest and saves him while tangerine is killed by being shot in the neck.

Bullet Train was so much fun when I watched it in the theater. This feels like Knives Out where ever character is distinctive from each other and have unique personality
I love how Tangerine nicks the biscuits, and then has to pay for the sparkling water due to Ladybug's actions.
lots of karmic retribution. wolfs knife ricochets and kills him, the Hornet is killed by her own poison, tangerine having to pay for the water after stealing biscuits. prince is killed by the tangerine truck after getting tangerine killed, white death is killed by the misfiring gun after ignoring the outcome of russian roulette,
The dialogue between Lemon and Tangerine was by far the best part of this movie. I think the pacing issues start after Tangerine tries getting aboard the train again, felt like some of the scenes dragged on a bit too much after that.
The Fiji Water bottle really got stiffed at the Awards, it definitely deserved Best Supporting Actor. 😤
There were a couple of Deadpool 2 reflections in this movie I noticed between Brad Pitt, Zazie Beats, Ryan Reynolds
1. Brad Pitt was the quick cameo Invisible Guy in Deadpool 2 - Ryan Reynolds quick cameo'd as Carter in Bullet Train.
2. Zazie Beats had luck powers as Domino in D2...he life was saved she landed on the giant inflatable bear
In Bullet Train Zazie Beats wore an costume similar to the inflatable bear from D2 and Brad Pitt was
the lucky "Ladybug" whose life was saved by Zazie Beats costume of the inflatable bear when he landed on it.

This was such a fun film to watch, and the ending was amazing.
Honestly the only bad part of the experience for me was trying to figure out who the son was for a hot minute and then realizing it was Percy Jackson right as he died

It actually is based on a Japanese crime novel. Feels very much like anime and Yakuza games.

Hiroyuki Sanada is an awesome actor going all the way back to Tiger in a Dragons den and Kate No Gunden IV ... Katsu Rintori character in JAC with Shinichi (Sonny) Chiba. He was great with a sword then ...
I loved the FX in this - that train crash at the end was amazing with characters flying and everything.

Lemon didn't start with a bulletproof vest, Tangerine gave him his at some point. Also, Tangerine gets shot in the neck, so the vest wouldn't've helped anyway
Watched this movie with my aunt and my 87 year old grandmother. All 3 of us loved it. So funny. So good
Haha to be fair to Steph, she's right that Lemon did say he wasn't wearing a bulletproof vest. But yeah, Lemon was either lying, or that convo prompted him to put one on.

Don't forget 90% of the movie took place in the train. Don't remember the last time I saw a movie that was like this and was entertaining from start to end. I loved this movie now that I've seen it a second time.

Greg and John also said it was too long ... I don't get it at all. Bullet Train is so friggin' entertaining it flew by in a heartbeat and I didn't want it to end. I wonder if that is a reactor thing ... sitting at a desk instead of a comfy couch and constantly having other content to get to in the back of your heads. And of course the constant obligation to react to what's happening on screen. That must make a difference in the enjoyment and perception of runtime.

haha Love this movie, had to interrupt the vid i was watching to watch this. It's not a great movie plot wise, but it did what a movie is intended to do, entertain and this was a very fun movie that was't trying to push any point socially but the story itself. So loved it.

This movie is amazing I actually loved this movie a ton
Loved the movie and would definitely watch it at least once every year. However, I disagree with you Jaby on two things. For one thing the movie wasn’t too long for me cause there are two things that tell me when it is and that’s if I’m checking how much time is left on the movie or if I’m getting bored. Neither of those things happened for me. Second is that my favorite part of the movie wasn’t Brad’s Ladybug character, it was the twins Lemon and Tangerine. Brad’s character was my second favorite character.
I’ve never seen the movie called Snatch, but if the dialog is like the twins in that movie I want to see it even more now. I connected with the characters because they made me think of my best friend Mike if we had been siblings. I’m Black and he’s White, I used to be on the heavier side and he was the slender one. I’m more of a calm, insightful person and he’s easier to go smack down with someone. That scene with them that was left out of the reaction showing them as children together is what hit me hard after what happened in their story arc. Had me thinking of what we would’ve been like if we had grown up as siblings.
Anyway enjoyed the movie and the reaction 👍👍✌ out.
I went into this expecting a Smokin' Aces style film and I was not disappointed at all! It was so good and interesting and love this universe.
Watching this reaction, I just noticed that the truck that hits the daughter is the same truck that almost hit brad Pitt in the beginning.
If you take a look at the screen play it is based on you will find it was planned out to match the exact time it would take to actually reach the station.

Pitt has a similar character style in "The Mexican" with Julia Roberts. You should definitely check that out, too. He plays a goof so well!
I’m just sad we didn’t get a backstory for the Tangerine truck since it shows up at the beginning and the end of the movie.

whaaaaat? I wanted it to be even longer. i didnt want this world to end. long, jaby? like the time needed to get into each character and the quirky little things make it so much more than the cheap thrill it could've ended up bein. so nope. make it longer n deeper. i like the run time.
Definitely a great movie for the comedy- genre. Was a blast to watch it!

It was long but honestly I didn't care simply because this was just a fun and feel good type of movie and considering it's one of those films that you don't really get that often (especially considering the cast) I didn't mind it. It COULD be shorter, yes, but it's just making up for knowing we won't get another one like it for at least a decade.
Hiroyuki Canada is a martial artist. Both in Kenjitsu and Shorin Ryu karate..... He also sings, speaks fluent Chinese and English as well.

Lemon doesn't wear bulletproof vests. When Tangerine saw him injured for the first time he put his vest on to lemon. That's why lemon was shocked why he didn't die.

Only reason Lemon wore a vest was because Tangerine told him to and the way Tangerine died was mentioned by Lemon near the start of the movie.
