I cried in the theater when Tangerine died. Brian Tyree Henry and Aaron Taylor Johnson had such great chemistry and nuance to their relationship.
I literally yelled “no!” when the gunshot rang out.

All the fights. All the cameos of people I didn’t expect. The amazing comedy. The chemistry between Lemon and Tangerine just incredible. And the unique kills. This movie is exactly what I wanted for just being an action junkie.
I was 100% certain Keanu's gonna be the bad guy, the big reveal, like everything was set up for him. :(

That Ryan Reynolds cameo as the hitman that was supposed to have been on the train was definitely chef's kiss for sure in this film. You also get the classic director David Leitch cameo which has now become a signature trademark.
The Tatum cameo was nice cause he was in the Lost City were Brad Pitt made a cameo

Same here I watched it in theaters one week before they took it off for newer movies and it was worth every cent I payed to watch it. Very entertaining and the cameos were so unexpected… one of my favorite popcorn films of the year.
Lemon and Tangerine are the heart and soul of the movie. In fact, I consider Bullet Train to be their movie for the most part tbh
I accidentally missed the beginning 20 mins of the movie and was * *convinced* * that they were the actual protagonists until close to the end 💀💀
This movie is just what i needed... 2 hours of fun not thinking about my everything going on in my life.
I don’t understand why people don’t like this. This is literally brilliant. I had a blast and laughed a lot. Also loved how everything came full circle. There was a lot of cheesiness but that was definitely on purpose or I mean that was the whole theme of this movie and I think some people don’t quite understand that.

probably just me but ive found myself hypefixated on this movie, while i do understand the complaints about the lengths of this movie i cannt stress enough how much the fun characters make up for it!!! i need more of the citrus twins so bad 😭
I think a lot of people's problems with the movie are more due to taste, after all, the movie is filled with gore and death all throughout, and it's also very fast-paced, so I can understand why some people may be turned off, I do know some people who didn't enjoy the movie all that much due to these aspects, still, fantastic movie.
I love the way songs kept changing from English to Japanese. I think it even happens with the Spanish song in Bad bunny's backstory.
Fun Fact about Boomslangs: They are extremely feared because their venom is a hemotoxin, meaning it causes both internal and external bleeding, but it symptoms don’t appear for HOURS not seconds after the bite. Also this is honestly one of the best massive ensemble movies I have seen outside of an Avengers movie in years.
How the F wasn't Keanu the bad guy?! The character and the roll was made for him and they're buddies with the director?

Listening to the commentary was interesting. They actually killed Lemon twice. He was supposed to die for real the first time, but they realized Brian Tyree Henry was the heart and soul of the movie, so they wrote him coming back, Aaron Taylor-Johnson played his scene of giving Lemon the necklace without knowing the character was going to live. Then he really was supposed to die when he fell off the train, but then they did a reshoot to show him surviving and hijacking the tangerine truck, they filmed those scenes in Griffith Park.
They also choreographed Brad Pitt's fight scenes to show that while his character is goofy, he's not completely hapless and he can hold his own. Also, this movie is what led to Brad Pitt's cameo in The Lost City. Sandra Bullock asked him to do it after they did their scenes for this.
I’ve been waiting for this!!! Nice little trivia, they had originally planned for Keanu Reeves to play therapist Barry but he had to back out due to scheduling issue. They left his scenes out since he couldn’t get him.
Honestly, the running gag with Lemon being a Thomas The Tank Engine fan had me rolling every time it was brought up, *especially* when he tells Logan Lerman’s character that he’s ‘More of a Percy.’
It must've also been a percy Jackson reference.
I'm so craving a sequel to this fun romp. They can set it in another mode of public transportation, need to bring back Lemon, capitalize on Reynolds and expand on Ladybug and his handler's backstory/interplay. Maybe even throw in Tatum for a brief comedic callback. But definitely leave the father & son out of it; their story's concluded.

Well, it was a written work first so this got the first adaptation instead of an anime movie, which it easily would've been adapted into.
Brad Pitt did 95% of his own stunts for guy who’s 58 is radical and awesome!
Fun fact, both lemon and tangerine have East London accents, I'm from East London and support West Ham football club, the song 'I'm forever ever blowing bubbles' you keep hearing is our football clubs team song so when you see when they were kids and hearing it they were watching football together, that's how I knew they were brothers and not just friends
I love the Ryan Reynolds cameo cause the movie kinda felt like a Ryan Reynolds movie so the fact that Ryan wasn't the main character was very funny.

I am so happy you guys reacted to this. It is so enjoyable and it got so unexpectedly interconnected in the end and those action sequences like holy shit it is amazing.

I didn’t feel the movie was too long I found it was well paced the beginning backstory stuff was little long but I guess they had to explain the crazy story so the audience wouldn’t be confused.
I don’t care what anyone says this was the the most fun I had when watching a movie. The fact the director was the same guy who made Deadpool 2 doesn’t get you pumped I don’t know what does.
That’s all a movie needs to be at the end of the day: entertaining to watch
To be fair, most people didn’t enjoy Deadpool 2 nearly as much as the first one. It’s a fun movie though. Had a lot more fun watching Top Gun though

Pitt slows his final fall with the soft bouncy costume pink thingy...which earlier Domino was wearing...which was a nice callback to the way she was saved in Deadpool 2

The 17th victim is actually the director (a former stuntman, including Pitt's very own stunt double, and stunt co-ordinator, who also directed Deadpool 2, Atomic Blonde, co-directed the first John Wick and will soon adapt the 80's TV series The Fall Guy).
Tom Cruise was supposed to make a cameo as Barry, Ladybug's much talked about shrink, but couldn't due to scheduling conflits.
Aarón Taylor is such a good actor. He won a Gold Globe for his role in Nocturnal Animal. If you haven't seen that movie you totally should. It is amazing.

Greg you mentioned this reminded you of a Jackie Chan movie and if you check out the Entertainment Weekly Roundtable vid on YT you'll hear Brad Pitt and David Leitch both say that Jackie Chan's style is what heavily inspired the film. So you were spot on there man! If you have time to check it out, it's a great little video. It has Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Brian Tyree Henry, Bad Bunny, Hiroyuki Sanada, Pitt, and Leitch.
What's crazy is if Carter (Ryan Reynolds) didn't call out "sick". You can easily swap him into the acting style that Brad had in this film.
From the trailer i expected this to be only action heavy movie but the serious opening makes it very clear that this HAS an interesting plot👌

Not knowing the plot I was like this movie all over the place. Then I realized when the daughter was coming into play.
It's like Snatch blended with John Wick (specifically, the Continental), with all the crazy characters and edits. It was visually arresting, with some cool camera moves and transitions. Aaron Taylor-Johnson was brilliant, it was great to see a more snarky character from him, he was so funny. But for me, the fun of the whole thing is Ladybug's good fortune, is so ridiculous he's borderline Domino. It came across like a live action graphic novel, which is awesome. Also, it used Title Cards so well, in a refreshing, fun way.
How did you guys not catch the line about the vest not protecting the neck? And look where Tangerine gets shot.
Me watching this movie for the first time-
“Oh wow that’s a cool character he’s my favorite, oh no he’s dead, ok, he’s my new favorite character! Oh no he’s dead! Ok he’s my new oh no he’s dead! Ok.. uh… the bad guy is my new favorite chara-Oh No! He’s Dead!” 🤣

This was a movie i did buy on 4K bluray because while not great, it is a hell of a fun time, with some genuinely stunning visuals and some surprising depth in its characters. Plus, it is a movie i would say goes perfect for a film night with friends!
This movie was so much fun. It never stopped. And it moved almost as quickly as The Good Place.
This movie was so fun! I went in not really expecting much and was so wonderfully surprised. I am on the boat of hoping they give us a lemon and tangerine prequel film
The only plot hole I found in this good movie is that the emergency exit door that Brad and the other guy were sucked out of and climbed back in was all of a sudden back in position when he jumped back on the train. Which If the writers would have left the door off and then the guy could have jumped back in that open emergency exit door at the rear as a more realistic way to get back on the train.

This movie reminded me that there are multiple ways to watch a movie and some movies are meant to be watched on way or another. Sometimes, it’s best to enjoy a movie with a group of people or just watch it alone.

This was such a good movie! I would definitely not be opposed to a sequel and/or prequel if David Leitch decided to make one. In terms of characters, my personal favorites would have to be Ladybug, Lemon, Tangerine, and The Elder. My only gripe with the movie is that I hate they killed Tangerine, other than that it was a perfect 10/10 for me and one of my top ten favorite films this year.

Bullet Train was awesome. Andrew Koji and Hiroyuki Sanada are great in this film. If you guys every have time checkout HBO Max's Warrior based on the writings of Bruce Lee that is created by Banshee's showrunner Jonathan Tropper and executive produced by Bruce Lee's Daughter Shannon Lee and Fast and Furious franchise director Justin Lin. The original concept of Warrior was pitched by Bruce Lee more than 50 years ago but Hollywood rejected the idea and didn't see Lee as a leading man in an American show because he was Asian and his accent was too thick or so lol. Finally more than 50 years later you get to see Bruce Lee's actual vision come to life and the ensemble cast this show has is phenomenal ranging from English to Asian actors where they bring their A game. Andrew Koji who plays Ah Sahm which Lee was supposed to have played originally is amazing with a supporting cast of Perry Yung, Olivia Cheng, Justin Nyugen, Joe Taslim, Chen Tang, Jason Tobin, Diane Doan with new comers for season 3 which will have Marc Dacascos from John Wick Chapter 3, Adam Rayner of Superman & Lois.
It's very underrated that Ladybug has Tangerine pay for the water he drinks and then throws it at him.
Andrew Koji is absolutely fantastic in the show Warrior, you guys should definitely watch it, its based on a script by Bruce Lee and his daughter is one of the writers. And as you can imagine its got some amazing fights, also the new season is out soon.
So glad that this movie can just be wild and fun without taking anything seriously
This was one of my favorite movies of the year. Great characters, excellent comedy and awesome action! Story was alright but all the other aspects were top notch! Check out my review while you're at it!
I swear reviewers are wrong about this movie. It may not have some deep meaning or anything like that, but man is this movie fun all throughout and that can be difficult af to pull off.
This movie was amazing and had absolutely no right to be as good as it was. My only gripe was that Karen Fukuhara wasn't utilized more. She's an incredible actress.
In regards to the length of the movie, after watching it I decided to read the book from which the movie's adapted, and it is pretty and pretty dense. A lot of story to be told, and the movie managed to get all the moving parts it needed in order to capture everything that had to be told. I will say the movie does at least try to make it entertaining, as the action in the book isn't as hectic and frenetic

This was one of my favorite movies of the year. I had so much fun and loved the characters, story, and action. Not too deep, but an action comedy doesn't have to be.
My cousin who's very critical of movies said she went in to this, having for the first time never seen the trailer of a movie she's gonna watch and she loved this. She said she was so sure Channing Tatum would come back and couldn't beleive that it was just a cameo.

If anyone likes fun movies with a lot of mixed up plots that combined, Big Trouble (2002) is fantastic fun with a great cast. Tim Allen, Rene Russo, Johnny Knoxville, Jason Lee, Ben Foster, Zoey Deschanel, Omar Epps, Sofia Vergara, Janeane Garofalo, Patrick Warburton, Dennis Farina, Stanley Tucci, Tom Sizemore; I'm sure I'm forgetting a few.
Nice to see someone else mention that movie. It's criminally underrated and underviewed. One of my favorite movies ever. Wish it could get more exposure.

Great reaction! Some interesting fine details I've noticed on repeat watchings: At the beginning the truck that almost hits Brad as he steps into the street is a Tangerine Truck. When Lemon and Tangerine are talking about the protective vest, Lemon: "my luck I'd get shot in the neck" .. Tangerine dies by being shot in the neck. Tangerine almost hits Brad with a metal tea kettle during their fight but the attendant interrupts them, later Brad gets hit in the face with it as he's slow-mo falling through the train wreck. When Brad and Sandra are walking to her car at the end, he stops her to compliment the car, the stuff crashes down and breaks the car, but ALSO they are standing perfectly where the whole in the large train piece ends up so they don't get hurt.

Bullet train was such a exciting ride from start to finish,I remember having a lot of fun watching it in theater,a soild movie.
This movie was a ride. The climax with White Death was a little underwhelming, but still very enjoyable. I didn’t know Boomslangs were real animals, just something I heard out of Snape’s mouth.

This was an unexpectedly Guy Ritchie movie, did not see that coming! Had the same energy as Lock Stock and Snatch.
Didn't really know anything about this movie going in, except that it starred Brad Pitt and Sandra Bullock had a cameo to pay back Pitt for being in her film The Lost City. Watching it, I felt a little like Brad Pitt's character in being a bit clueless to what was really going on. Brad was good but I though Bryan Tyree Henry and Aaron Taylor-Johnson stole the show and gave the most riveting performances as Lemon and Tangerine.
The Hornet reminded me of Scary Terry from Rick and Morty lol "Oh man, she sure says bitch a lot!!!" LOL
