Outside of their musical talent and Raul's incredible (incredible!) voice, they are SO much fun to watch live!
Thank you to Derek for the request and thank you, Don, for reacting to the Mavericks.

More Mavericks please. All Night Long, I Should Have Been True, and Here Comes the Rain are a few of their many hits. There’s no other band that blends Country and Cuban rhythms as good at they do and Raul Malo’s vocals are top notch. He’s a true crooner!

Raul Malo is a tremendously gifted vocalists who can sing any genre. Thanks Derek for a great request and Don for a wonderful reaction/rating.---#UTRCM

Have seen these guys live in London. One of the best shows ever - people were up dancing 💃 😍

I really enjoyed your reaction video. One thing about the Mavericks’ music, their lyrics speak of break ups and heartache but the arrangement is what makes their music so much fun. All Over Again, Out the Door, Fall Apart, their live performance of Pretend, those are all good, broken heart songs that don’t make you sad.

My favorites by them are "I Should've Been True", "All That Heaven Will Allow", "O what a Thrill" and "What a Crying Shame".

Awesome, Derek! It's great to see the Mavericks finally featured on this channel. Originally founded in Miami back in the late 1980s, Raul Malo and his bandmates have been going strong for 30+ years pushing the boundaries of country music with their many musical influences, especially Latin (Cuban, Tex Mex) and 60s pop. Malo's extraordinary voice has often been compared to the late, great Roy Orbison. I had the good fortune of seeing this band in person on two occasions early in their career; and if you have a chance to see them live, go!

I too had the good fortune of seeing them early in their career. Once on The "What a Crying Shame" tour and once on the "Music for all Occasion" tour. Also saw them once about 5 yrs. ago. Have a real good friend who absolutely loves them, he has seen them more times than I can count.---#UTRCM

Great to hear Flaco Jimenez, yes, he played on Streets of Bakersfield. The Mavericks are good, Malo's voice is amazing but this song wouldn't be the same without Flaco and his accordion.

Thanks Don, glad you enjoyed it. The main reason I chose this song was because of the accordion, (played by Flaco Jimanez) and how upbeat it is. And yes they are great musicians.

Funny enough, Dwight Yoakam’s old lead guitarist Eddie Perez, is now The Mavericks lead guitarist.

Dwight Yokem? Maybe,,, but the guy can sound exactly like Roy Orbeson when he wants to. One song really does, but , sadly, I don't know its name.
