I'm so glad to hear that other people are naturally introverts but have been called into this ministry too. 20 years ago when all this started, I would never have envisioned myself as a leader, much less speaking in front of crowds of people regularly. Now that I'm working on my MDiv & praying about a lead pastorate position, I have found this series invaluable. Could not recommend it more highly.

    1. God's calling is consistent to his word.
    2. He gives you desire to do particular ministry.
    3. He gifts you with ability.
    4. He gives you the opportunity.
    5. Others testimony about your calling.
    NB:
    1. Are you effective?
    2. Are you interested?
    3. Are you doing the revealed will of God?
    4. Do you seek to glorify Jesus?

"There is a way to a man that seems right but it's road leads to destruction." After asking God for knowledge in the way in which a man should be as apposed to the way that seems right He showed me this scripture:" There are those who before going out to do something they pray and fast for three days neither drinking or eating day or night seeking to know the way in which they should be." "As to those who do this there is nothing they cannot do." "I will instruct and teach them in the way in which they should be."

Thankyou for the great insight about the calling of the ministry, I am a lay minister and have served pastors, and their congregations for many years! I love the teaching you provide, wish I had this opportunity to hear this many years ago! It would of helped me very much in regards to the ministry! Many years ago I graduated from Bible college, but the insight you give was never covered in those classes. I always said there is,a big difference between lab and field work! And certainly when it comes to the everyday practical issues dealing with the ministry! God bless!

What if you have church members give you assurance of your calling, and you enjoy teaching, preaching, reading God's word and bring glory to His name. Yet I have chronic kidney failure?

What would you say to someone who obtained a seminary degree and spent thousands of dollars and years of their life only to find out that not all of these things fit? What about the person who is answering the call but when he picks up the phone it seems the person on the other end says, sorry wrong number? The process for ordination, especially the encouragement of young men to go to seminary, is backward in my opinion. It’s a devastating thing to find out you were wrong on the other side of all that.

There's No Male or Female in Christ Jesus, A woman can preach and teach just as good or sometimes better than a man, I'm an Apostolic/Pentecostal, God can call a woman to preach the gospel just like can a man!!

You have a right to be wrong. Both Titus and Timothy lay out the requirements for both a pastor and a deacon/leader.

Respectfully, God is not self-contradictory. The Galatians verse you seem to refer to is about in terms of salvation (the Law and the promise). In salvation there is neither Jew nor Gentile, slave nor free, male or femaie (Galatians 3). Obviously we still have male and female, but that chapter is about in terms of justification before God for our sins. It is not talking about and is not saying there is no longer any distinction between anyone. God's word is not ambiguous or unclear about the qualifications for roles in HIS church. You see?

Still waiting on the “Perils of the pastoral pedestal” video. I don’t think one man was ever meant to be what the church tries to paint him as. It’s a set up for disappointment on both sides.

Men are to be what the Bible calls them to be. The church upholds Scripture. If you don't like that then you have no love for Scripture.
