Church: "A group of baptized and regenerate believers who have covenanted together to carry out the great commission, to observe the ordinances, and to walk together in discipleship and learning of the Scriptures."
    1. Centered on the Bible - knows, believes, teaches, preaches, and does all coming from the Bible.
    2. Gathers regularly for the purpose of worshipping Jesus Christ and preaching his word.
    3. Prioritizes evangelism and has an outward focus.
    4. Has a view to the world beyond the local neighborhood with global strategy.
    5. Replicating other churches through church planting.
    6. Really discipling their people and not just doing Sunday preaching. Help Christ be formed in them.
    7. Prioritize marriage and singleness - helping people thrive in relationships and community and children.
    8. Loving others having the fragrance of Christ in glorifying God.

People need people (in person), and people need our Creator Lord Jesus the Christ, going to church comforts me and because of the apostasy being with other believers is extra comforting especially now that the world's clearly weirder😇🙏🙏🏾🙏🏿🙏🏽🙏🏻❤️❤️❤️🙌🙌🙌

Thanks for sharing, according to some pastors, a church in order to strive she must have good active capable top leaders (like elders) to set church's vision (like according to the Great Commission), develope/find other suitable full, part time & lay leaders for the congregation long term needs!!

I love that you say your teachings, your church is based on the Bible. I pray it remains BIBLICAL because many churches (pastors/leaders) are basing their teaching on whatever is popular with the culture. So it's becoming more and more obvious that God is separating the wheat from the tare. Having said all that, will your church begin performing same sex marriages?

Christ needs to be taught from the Holy Scriptures - the main thing

This answer feels like it answers what’s does a Church do, rather then the question in the title.

You missed the 6 points he covered for that answer
      1. Bible based church
      2. Missions
      3. Discipleship
      4.Fellowshipping Together
      5. Partnership with others believers

@@rw3452 I think you’re the one that’s missing the point, my friend. The point of the video is that Pastor York believes this is what a successful church looks like.
Meaning, it doesn’t matter if a church is 6 people or 6thousand people, if a church is not in the Bible, not in missions, not in discipleship, not in fellowship, not in partnership with other believers and not Christ centered then it doesn’t meet the definition of a successful church.

Should not the title be: What is a fruitfull church?

  • @marklaronde6614

Simplify it. A church was created to worship God. Everything after that flows by way of the Holy Spirit.....

The eleven disciples were trained in the Word of God, and in deed, for 3 1/2 years, then they were on their own. Christ discipled the eleven, and they in turn discipled others, and so on. This was the model of evangelism, and this is what church leaders are supposed to do. And what about the Body of Christ gathered by itself? God reserved its growth by giving each member a gift for mutual edification. The church cannot grow unless we meet God's standards for growth, that is, 3 1/2 years for evangelism for numerical growth and mutual ministry for the growth of the Body. God will NOT allow alternatives to each approach and now we know why we are declining.
Since the churches don't care about mutual ministry, we become atomized and don't see the need for each other for any growth. Christians pursue an individualized Christianity and it becomes all about "God and me." The church fathers lamented that sermons weren't changing people as far back as the late second century. Why not? Because it obliterates mutual ministry and atomizes members of the Body of Christ. The church is dying. It's dying because we're refusing to grow it God's way and God will not rescue us from "formulas" that aren't his.

This is missing critical areas of church government, discipline, and qualified elders. Also I don't see evangelism as the Bible's main priority of the church.

    • @Amber4
      @Amber4 Před rokem

Yes, the church first needs to educate and shape their own members before they go outward. I have seen many problems in churches that go outward and evangelize, bring people in, having no resources to let them and the original churchmembers grow spiritually... As a consequence the members keep getting babymilk and not solid spiritual food.
