- In this video, you will learn what is scaling in PLC and how to scale the 4 to 20 mA current signal.
The changes in the process variable affect the electrical analog signal (4-20mA) and that happens inside the transducer.
Then the changes of the analog signal (4-20mA) are to be translated into digital values using the ADC "Analog to digital converter (0-27648). And that happens inside the Analog module.
Then this value; the digital value is transferred to the CPU.

Thank you sir.
Anw i want to ask, if the level is not start by zero how we draw the graph and what the equation of that function
Example
19.9C -> 4mA
60C -> 20mA
Keep going
It is great. However, in Siemens even if the AI resolution is 10, the scaling will be the same .
The only difference is the resolution, what is the minimum value can the card read
thanks
Sir can you elaborate about raw input data in digital form ? Is it converted of 7.88mA analogue value ?
Your raw value is converted according to our preference either voltage or current form by transducer and then it's converted in digital form by ADC which is given to cpu
