This "behind the scenes guy" is the most relatable character in the whole Ryanverse, what with his "I'm scared of everything all the time" line. Such a classic.
"Ryanverse", I like that. Very jellical.
Yes, this third character is a lot of fun.
Not sure about him being so scared of everything though... Nothing to be scared of - Super easy. Barely an inconvenience.
I was thinking the same thing
I'm Ryan as well
He's like the timid Hulk, instead of being mad all the time, he's scared. I always loved the old saying "bravery isn't 'not being scared', bravery is being scared out of your mind and doing it anyway."
I love how Ryan is responsible for the creation of every movie in history. Man is culture itself.
First person to ever pitch a movie.
Ryan is indeed very prolific, but not all films are made in Hollywood.
That's why he really needs to do pitch meetings on The Room and Birdemic, which were really a person pitching a movie to themselves!
@@oliverraven he also made an RRR and Squid Game pitch meeting which implies he has created other movie cultures as well
Maybe he's just the living embodiment of pop culture
It’s nice to pull back the curtain from time to time and just reach out to your audience. You have a lot of support in these comments because of your comedy, and how down to earth you are. Definitely one of the more wholesome fanbases on CZcams, and I’m glad to be apart of it.
Wait this is a pitch meeting video. I’m supposed to say “SUPER EASY, BARELY AN INCONVENIENCE!”
Hearing you talk about how wholesome this community is makes me want to see it live up to that even more than it already does!
💜
Well said!
At this point i look forward to this as much as i look forward to the normal ones.
Same.
Preach!
And if it helps him stay sane, I love it even more. ❤️🐜
I love to Ryan talking normally too, it's crazy to see him without his pitch meeting persona
@@Nathan-Croft exactly
This
I think the reason why Ryan's fan community is so wholesome is due to how he portrays himself. If he has some sort of criticism, he usually conveys it in a manner that is not toxic or negative, as well as humourous and light-hearted, so the audience doesn't feel agitated afterwards.
Second that.
Nailed it
Exactly, he's the funny friend that even when it criticises something still makes you laugh just because how he acts and talks.
Ok
@@StefanoBorini ok
10:30 ryan talking about like how wholesome his community is made me scroll through the comments. And I can confirm: it's true
Let's face it. Most of the people attracted to his content (enough to follow him from screen rant to here) are pretty chill people in general.
Much love from Nigeria 🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬
Agreed, I did the same thing. I’m typically a CZcams comment troll that likes to wreak havoc and get people fired up but I’ve never felt the need to do that on this channel. Nice community 👍🏼
Ryan breaking the fourth wall is tight. Not sure how he learned to talk to us though. Become a self aware character is probably super easy, and barely an inconvenience
I love that whenever Ryan does one of these he draws something while we watch the pitch meeting.
You all have witnessed thee most: “super easy, barely an inconvenience” from this living legend.
@we will be back how could you lie to me like this 😭😭😭
@@josiahswanson1 Anything that says "here is the full clip" in a youtube comment is a lie!
For the next Question Zone (or something): Have you ever had a movie producer/writer/director approach you about a Pitch Meeting you've done about their movie?
Zack synder messaged him saying : justice league wasn’t that bad 😢
Neil Gaiman said that the Coraline pitch meeting was pretty accurate
That’s bc Gaiman is probably the greatest human being ever
Great question
Frankly, your revisited episodes don't ruin the illusion for me. I like watching these episodes cause it's like watching behind the scenes stuff that I like to watch. :)
_"I'm scared of everything all the time"_ same bro, same. The Ryanverse helps me to feel not so alone, so thanks for that man and for the years of truly quality entertainment so far! 😊❤
The "i love my nephew" joke on his ant draw is masterpiece
Literally did not realize it until I read your comment 😂
oh. ooooh, Aunt man? i never would have got that
This is a remarkably wholesome community. Ryan's videos are some of the only ones where I don't immediately regret venturing into the comment section.
my theory is that since ryan airs the collective grievances of the fandoms in his pitch meetings in a super enjoyable manner, all our toxicity has already been expressed.
I just wish he would ease up with slagging off Toxicity. It's a damn solid album and arguably the best work SOAD ever did.
@@visigothic67 when does he slag off Toxicity?!
@@visigothic67 beat me to the joke. Nicely done.
Personally, I love learning more about the person and creative process behind things! It's like DVD behind the scenes content 😋 makes things even like comedy even more meaningful and human. Thanks for always making me laugh, Ryan!
Ryan, take some credit for your channels being such non-toxic spaces! You are a nice, thoughtful, wholesome, self-effacing dude, and that has always been obvious even (especially?) through your characters and scripts. You are continued proof that it's possible to be legendarily funny without being an edgy douchenozzle. I like that you're venturing out of your comfort zone and making a point to try new things.
Edgy douchenozzle beats passive-aggressive Mormon'esque self-aggrandisements any day, for creator or fan. Thanks for reminding me
I agree one thousand percent!!!
You are perceptive, talented and very very funny 😂
Love your channel 👌🏾👍🏾👏🏾🫶🏾🇨🇦
It's great seeing a gem like Ryan finding his own voice, and testing the bounds of the pitch meeting formula. He's right, showing himself like this breaks the formula but I think its for the better. I want Ryan to always love making these videos as much as I love watching them.
i dont know. id say ryan george is actor guy with a moustaches least convincing character guy yet. Hes got the exact same face and powers as producer guy but uses them for evil. its just lazy story telling.
I can’t imagine the joy when Ryan realized he could just say “Hey, Shut Up” whenever Producer Guy made sense about plots.
It's nice to hear you're already thinking up the Pitch Meeting as you're watching a film for the first time, because honestly, I (and I'm sure many others) now find myself doing the same in anticipation of the Pitch Meeting. Something ridiculous will happen in a film and I can immediately hear Screenwriter Guy pitching it to Producer Guy!
9:25 Ryan watching a movie: "Write that down! Write that down!"
These revisits are fun. You don't often see creators going through and revisiting their earlier work, which is kind of a shame. It's always interesting to hear what people think of their work when looking back on it.
What struck me the most is how casual "super easy, barely an inconvenience" was said. Now it's such an iconic line 👍🏼
“And I did it anyway.” That would be another good line to say every now and then.
Not possible to harbor resentment to someone who uses the logical inconsistencies and shortcomings in movies so brilliantly in their humor. Always loved your content and always will, as many others do. Thanks for voicing basically all our gripes with modern cinema!
Cats was the first Pitch Meeting I saw and it was the funniest thing I had seen on the internet. I still revisit it from time to time just to crack up. It led me into a spiral where I watched every single Pitch Meeting. Keep up the great work!!
Ahh I think we have all fallen victim to such Pitch Meeting binge madness at some point or another. They're super addicting!
The cats one is very jellical. The first ones I watched were the Twilight movies, and it made me feel good that I don't have to watch them lol
its funny cuz i SWEAR 95% of his audience had a similar experience. i feel like we all saw that one random pitch meeting that was extremely funny and went on a long binge.
@Oscar Alies binge watching every Pitch Meeting ever is TIGHT!
Revisiting the Ant-Man pitch meeting with extra Ryan is something I’m glad I’m alive to see
Now that you've seen you don't have to be alive anymore so.....
I absolutely love these Pitch Meeting Revisited videos about as much as the Pitch Meetings themselves! Ryan really has a gift for comedy 😀
I really, really cannot express enough how much I love this style of video from you! It is so fascinating seeing you from this perspective without a character to play. For what it's worth, I dont think this is shattering the illusion of Screen Writer Guy or Money Manager Guy at all, they are different from you.
Loving Ryan George as a person is super easy, barely an inconvenience! Also I love these revisit videos, I rewatch Pitch Meetings all the time, and I get excited anytime I see Pitch Meetings or Ryan George pop up in my notifications.
Had to pause and type at the mention of Cats. That was one of my first viewed pitch meetings and it solidified it. Everything about that vid was jellicle especially the shoulder rolling part.
These are just as much fun as (if not moreso) the regular Pitch Meetings. It's cool to hear your thoughts on your own work and to see how far you've come over the years. The two characters have become really solid and really found their groove, and it's a huge difference in energy compared to the first Pitch Meetings. Can't wait to see what's next!
and its also extremely fun to see ryan nerd out about what he enjoys and gets inspired by, we see him covering blockbusters in parody a lot, but there's a real film enjoyer behind all that
more so*
Old pitch meetings is quality satire. New pitch meetings is art.
Ryan, you have a classy comment section because you keep it classy. You've got an old school sense of shame that is greatly appreciated. The way you handled the Pitch Meeting for "Old" really exemplified that. Appreciate you and your craft. Keep it up!
Ryan’s channels are the best on CZcams, by far. I would love to see a “Wizard of Oz” Pitch Meeting, fun things could be done with b&w and color….Thanks Ryan for wonderfully entertaining entertainment!
How knowledgeable Ryan is when it comes to writing and cinema as a whole is incredible
Wow wow wow wow….wow
Until he started doing these talk to the camera videos I thought he was just a wise guy. A very funny entertaining one, but how cool to find out he knows all this stuff!
It's interesting that you say you would have cut or reworked the "people keep leaving the ant-man project" bit, whereas that's actually my favorite part of the pitch-meeting. I feel bits like those just add so much life to the skit, not necessarily waste time or anything.
You’re so awesome. Please keep doing these. It’s fun getting to see you be yourself (who is crazy funny even without being a character)
Ryan you're crushing it. It's great to see you coming out of the shell a little and changing things up a bit. These revists have been awesome thus far.
I honestly think you create some of the best content on CZcams, period. Also, the internet needs a collaboration between you and Calebcity
I absolutely think that pulling back the curtain like this adds another layer of enjoyment to pitch meeting, seeing you talk about it and reflect is really fun!
Agreed!!
I’m so glad he actually does these videos on this channel with millions of subscribers now. Screen Rant literally doesn’t deserve to have him
I mean I guess it’s okay that there’s no issues between them and he promotes them but you don’t really see Screen Rant getting views besides Pitch Meetings with having 7x more that Ryan George has on this channel and his personal one. You can clearly tell people would only go to Screen Rant for that alone.
Besides people have a lot of issues with SR’s articles or them as a business anyways so they’re worthy of some form of criticism or their state they’re in right now. Their most recent video has 8k views for a 8 million subscriber channel. That’s why I’m saying this channel alone worked.
It's amazing how SR gets 10k views while having 8 million subs, and Ryan gets hundreds of thousands while only having 1 million. People forgot to unsub ☠️
He still works for SR
@@OG_Aisle6 Didn't he leave to start his own pitch meeting channel?

I love these meta revisited pitch meetings! Seeing the real you / behind the scenes is super interesting . Hope you keep it up.
I think I've said this before but honestly, Ryan, you're the best thing on CZcams. Please keep talking to the camera both as yourself and characters! 😊❤
I freaking love these revisited videos. I like seeing the creative process and of course the drawings. Mostly the drawings, because let's be real, they're artistic masterpieces.
I fully agree.
But also, why did it take me the whole video to get the Ant/Aunt joke💀💀?
@@himanshubhushandubey6446 Don't feel bad. I didn't get it until I read your comment. XD

It’s gotten to the point that I’d go out and watch a movie just to get more enjoyment out of these videos, they’re awesome! Keep up the fantastic work!
I've done that for a few and it makes watching the pitch meeting again so much better lol
I can totally relate to this!
That last question reminded me of the Honest Trailer Pitch Meeting. You get so used to see Ryan on the green screen that it is unsettling to see him in real life. I died at the "GET BACK TO THE BASEMENT CLOWN" line🤣🤣.
Cats was the first Pitch Meeting I saw! I was 100% hooked after that, quickly went through the entire backlog, and then soon discovered Ryan's personal channel. It was the most jellicle decision I ever made.
I did imagine that Ryan wasn’t completely comfortable talking directly to the camera but he is sure getting better and even when he isn’t fully comfortable he is still very nice and funny so keep it up!! I feel very lucky to see your growth and improvement 💛💛💛

It seems like you pour so much of yourself into your characters that pulling back the curtain doesn't feel as weird as you might think. Honestly, it's interesting how I kind of like your characters even more after getting a glimpse of who you are and where this humor kind of comes from. This series is like a nice wholesome part of my week. Keep em coming. Or don't, but I'd enjoy it if you did.
I can understand that. He comes off as a pretty relatable guy and if you already liked somebody for their content, it almost seems like a validation of your feelings if they turn out to be a cool guy in "real life" too. It can be a bit off-putting if you really loved the work of a particular actor just to meet them in person and they turn out to be a d-
Ryan, your pitch meetings is the reason why I started learning about film writing and behind the scenes stuff. You inspire me so much with your funny videos!! Keep it up man!
It's interesting how you're one of the youtubers who never stopped ramping up the craziness in your videos without making it feel forced or obnoxious, I don't have an exemple in mind of a bad exemple but you definitely did it the right way
Cats was the first Pitch Meeting I saw from your channel and holds a special place in my heart. We watched Cats during Covid because we were like, “why not”, but got really confused after about 20 minutes but still continued to watch it to see if it got any better and because, “what else are we gonna do in 2020.”
I’m glad I finished the whole thing because it lead me to see if anyone on CZcams had the same thoughts as us after watching the movie and almost every single thing you brought up in your Pitch Meeting were the same comments we were making while watching the movie haha! Really love these videos!
Polar express was the first one I saw. My friends and I had a discord streaming party where we watched a dozen xmas movies including polar express. When I got on youtube that night it was in my recommends. I didn't understand all the jokes like "tight" or "barely an inconvenience." But when the writer said "The boy gets into a stranger's vehicle in the middle of the night and his life is changed forever." and the producer was horrified, i laughed so hard I had to send the video to all my friends. Then I binge watched every episode and wished I had rationed them because now i wait for them each week like an addict.
Funny, the first Pitch Meeting I watched was Catwoman.
@@sanddagger36 haha that’s exactly what I did! I went through so many videos in like a month and then now I just wait for anything from this or his other channel to pop up so I can watch it haha. And I love telling other people about watching the PM after watching the movie.
@@rickstaism cats just have a way of bringing out the jokes in all of us I guess.
LOL, same with watching Cats. 2020 was such a strange time.
You're an amazing creator Ryan, your humor is witty and slightly edgy sometimes but in a very broad and relatable way, I think that is why you appeal to so many people. Keep up the good work and thank you!
I’m so proud of your channel and all the work you’ve done to make these videos. Please keep them coming and I also really like these behind the scenes videos too.
Plus I need the cute drawings at the end!!!🎉
For the question zone: What has been your most challenging pitch meeting and why?
Thank you always for the great content!
"I'm scared of everything all the time." Can relate, and it kinda explains a lot of where his Ryan George humor comes in. Love the content, you're doing great.
Thank you for your videos including the pitch meetings and the Ryan George skits. You bring joy into our lives and I’m not exaggerating. I’m leaving this comment because you said you really enjoyed this wholesome community - so I could not resist. I love the behind-the-scenes videos too!
I love the guys from Pitch Meeting! I'm not so sure about this Ryan guy, but so far he seems like a nice guy as well!
I think he's their god or something, because everybody calls the world "Ryanverse".
They were all made in his image..
7:58 i always understood it as and man didn't make the suit so he has to learn to use it where cross had the chance to fit the suit to his fighting style and had full understanding on how it works
Which makes movies where the hero makes the suit and still needs to train weird
Sending lots of support for your new format! I hope you find it to be a freeing experience, and that you find yourself growing closer to the community you've built! I know I appreciate seeing super talented creators get down to earth, and talk to the people that their work reaches. You're doing a lot of things right it seems Ryan. i enjoy pitch meeting so much to the point that i even get excited to see what you did for the add section.
Alright this was the first Revisited pitch meeting I’ve seen, and now I gotta see the others you made! I love it when content creators go over their content, it’s fun seeing their thought processes
I've watched a couple of interviews with Ryan and it only reinforced how much I like his content. Ryan seems like a very genuine and warm guy.
Yeah, dude.. I always watch everything you put out. I'm glad you're getting a bit of a reprieve. Hi Ryan George! My Stepdad and I are both movie fans. I got him into watching your videos and now “Super easy, barely an inconvenience” is a household saying that is constantly used. Keep up the great videos, whether pitch meetings or other! Cheers my friend!
Hey Ryan, absolutely love your content and your style of humour always has me cracking up. I'm really loving listening to you describe the process of your work and I'm glad for even more interesting videos from you! These videos are great, the pitch meetings are great, this doesn't detract from anything. Honestly your comments on the director is very interesting, it's obvious that your insight into movies are fantastic in order to make these videos in the first place, but it would be genuinely enjoyable to hear your expanded thoughts on the styles and sort of trends in the movies in general. Love your stuff, keep it up dude.
Love getting to know Ryan more! I think it’s really wonderful that despite being a “cynical” styled breakdown of film and especially corporate film mentality, Pitch Meeting just has this ESSENCE of genuine kindness and passion, and that is 100% caused by your invisible touch to the entire thing. That’s the YOU coming through the material, and seeing you talk candidly only cements that theory to me.
Also canonically, does pitch guy wear boxers or briefs?
I am personally loving these revisited pitch meetings it's so cool getting to see you talking to the camera directly. And can you do a pitch meeting for Encanto or scream next?
I’ve got a question! You’ve got a ton of catchphrases between pitch meetings as well as your other channel. Were there any that you knew would become popular, or were there any that surprised you with how popular they became?
Hey man! Just wanted to be another echoing comment 🤣 and say that I really love the direction you took with these videos! These are super candid and give us a unique perspective into Ryan George lol which I think it's really refreshing! Especially when I left a prior comment saying the most videos appeared like you were losing your touch a bit. I'm so happy you bounced back and I'm glad to see you hit another gear on these shows! Can't wait to see what else you have in store for us 😁 you da man screenwriter guy, producer guy, and Ryan George!
Absolutely love these retrospectives. Thank you Ryan for hours of content.
These are great man! Glad you're sharing more the real you. Cheers!
You definitely improved your acting skills over the years! Keep it up and I half expect to see you star in the actual movies after you’ve pitched them
Ryan you’re great! You’re the only person I stick around to the end and watch the ads for !
Wow I really like these. Is it weird that I now want you to do one of these for every single pitch meeting you've ever done ever?
Really loving this new format. What a good way to rewatch old pitch meetings. More power Ryan!
I really appreciate you being candid about your emotions around producing new types of content. As someone who struggles with taking on new obstacles in life and have been trying to work through and manage, it’s awesome to see creators such as yourself almost take the audience along for the journey because I think it’s important for people to know they’re not alone with having so many emotions surrounding the thought or act of moving forward into the unknown. Thanks for these awesome revisits and always looking forward to your next piece you create❤️
Your Pitch Meetings and the Try Guys got me through 2020. I’m loving all your new stuff along with the old!!
Your on-screen performances are one of the most unique acting caracteristics I've ever witnessed. Your tone, vocabulary and movements play like an act, but feel instinctively alive. You shape yourself as a human discovering human things, segmenting life into instances that you translate with an honest and truthful manner. By unconsciously revealing your thoughts and feelings, you make your characters relatively more mysterious and intriguing. This form of communication is similar to the trouble of expressing your true feelings and having to rely on describing them instead, which might just be what makes your characters so appealing and wholesome.
Anyway thanks for reading love you okay bye now.
Please do a pitch meeting of Titan A.E

I'm loving these re-visits, especially if it allows Ryan a breather between new pitch meetings, he certainly earned it!
Please keep doing this kind of videos, I love the casual talk afterwards!

Been a fan for awhile now and I am really loving these revisited videos. Glad we're getting to know you a bit better because you have such an incredible "very awesome human" energy to you. Really dig everything you do and your videos always put a smile on my face, so thank you!
I’m absolutely loving these “behind the scenes” videos. (Though I’m secretly wondering if THIS is another character he’s just adding to the Ryanverse!) I love your sense of humor and my family is sick of me forcing your videos on them, usually by sticking a phone in their face and saying “watch this!”. Can’t say enough great things about Ryan and I agree that the community here is refreshingly non-toxic and you deserve all the credit. Now I think I’ll go rewatch the Cats Pitch Meeting!
Loving the candid-style videos. It is honestly helping things feel fresh and interesting.

Loving this new format. It's weird to see you address the camera directly, but it's really interesting for me to see your behind the scenes opinions. Keep them coming!
I love these videos. Please keep doing them. For your next maybe you can talk about how you’d change the old dialogue to match your current format. Like where’d you’d throw a “heyshutup” in or something now as opposed to how the old script was written. Love this channel so much.
I'm really enjoying the updated version of your content! Love the QnAnStuff too
Love these videos. Would love a Pitch Meeting Lore video where you go over the origination of your most quoted lines and their progression.
I'm so glad Ryan's fans are wholesome. You should definitely keep these coming, always interesting to see the process.
Writing tropes have always been fascinating to me (rule of cool, protagonist-centered morality, retirony, Chekov's gun/skill, etc...). It's interesting to hear you discuss them and how they fit into pitch meetings.
Also, since pitch meetings are innately good, having some "the making of" videos for particular meetings helps expand on that and gives us new insights. I can't imagine that every pitch meeting would need to be revisited, but select ones that you think merit more discussion would certainly be welcome.
