What the problem might be, and I know I am late but hey maybe someone would see this, is that the ram partly died which will slow everything down and even freeze it. For the battery I have a theory, solar charging isn't just sun charges battery. Instead the watch needs to run a string of code in the background to check and measure how much sun it gets and send that information to the battery section. In a sense, it could be draining the battery more during use and the more you use it the more the battery starts to fade away the last bit of life left. Luckily changing the battery is pretty easy and if you don't want to do it yourself you can always head to a watch repair shop. Now if you have warranty then go ahead and use that first.
My guess is that you worked that watch hard and hooking up your bike sensors and other parts with it may have given it more stress than it is normally used too. But it is good to know even with the warranty gone they still did the best they could by replacing it with a second hand one.

That sad to hear, but thank you for this honest review! My Amazfit Stratos just died, it looks like it doesn't like the cold weather as it goes into a reboot loop each time i'm running outside. I planned to buy a 6X Pro Solar, but i should consider now twice as it is really expensive in my country. :(

Heartbreaking, about the 6x pro solar woes! Thanks, at least, for walking us through the factory reset. You never know. You may have just saved someone's life, when theirs craps out in the wild. 👍👍

Any third party apps or programs installed on the watch?

Just a watch face but it uses minimal battery. No moving hands or a direct line to any constant updates (HR, etc).
