I just had a random thought: he is probably relieved, that ppl are taking notice, and giving him a voice that he didn't have around that family. Let’s be real… most, if not all men, want to be seen as the best option to their wives. Saying he wasn’t perfect probably made him feel as though he wasn’t her best option, so course he was in his feelings. Also, Men need to feel respected by their wives. After Matthew, I don't think Tina really cares about being married as much as she loves living her best life through Beyonce. This was probably a blessing in disguise for Mr. Lawson, who successful in his own right, probably got tired of living in Beyonce and Jayz's shadow behind Tina. The celebrity couple sold their souls. I didn't believe Richard would last in that family, anyway. I don't remember the last time I've even seen him happy since he's been with Tina, who looks like she's difficult to get along with, and obviously doesn't submit to her husband and have no problem publicly humiliating him, or even caring. Even though he was most definitely wrong, Matthew may have had his reasons. Wishing Richard Lawson the best!

Richard Lawson has aged so gracefully over the years. I remember him from an episode of "GOOD TIMES" and of course, his performance on "DYNASTY" was and still is incredible. I hope that he and Miss Tina can work it out.
