Monopoly Turn 1 Victory

- Monopoly is a classical board game which is focused on property management and destroying relationships with all friends and family as efficiently and entertainingly as possible. This game is so popular it has almost an infinite amount of spin offs from starwars monopoly to monopoly fortnite. Now of course the issue with the game is it can go on for a long time with very little changing however with the spiffing brit playing monopoly plus we will be demonstrating a monopoly turn 1 victory. Some would say unlimited money might be a game exploit however really it just leads to more funny moments.
This video is going to be packed with funny clips in a montage style of british humor!
If you enjoyed this then check out my other 100 stat man and perfectly balanced game series videos!
It is also rather similar to Robbaz , Valefisk and RT Game in style of content!
So sit back relax and enjoy this Monopoly challenge!

Funny this exploit existed 20 years ago in all computer versions of monopoly, you'd think they would have fixed it in some version.
Except no one actually plays this game XD
Ubisoft? Put in EFFORT? To fix BUGS? Who the hell do you think they are?!
Fix? Why would any of these corporate game publishers give a crap about fixing games if people keep buying them as is?
Why ‘Fix it’ when you can ‘Re-Skin it’?!
Well what reason do they really have to fix it? it's just bots not real people, and it can't be fun to do this just to win against bots.

Unironically; I had a game of monopoly last just over a month. About 5 hours a week between 5 of us.
We lost players 4 and 5 about 2 weeks in; but the rest of us were both too stubborn to stop, and all so horrifically unlucky that we'd not end up winning either.
The game ended due to, no shit; the board catching on fire.

I actually did that years back, when I discovered the exploit myself. I was playing with my sister and brother in law. Considering that they almost divorced over a Monopoly rules argument, it was perhaps not the smartest move to also ruin the console version for them.

So let me get this straight. This exploit has existed in all digital versions of Monopoly for over 20 years and nobody, and I mean NOBODY has fixed it?

Why fix a fun bug? Like Skyrim players petitioning to get back the bug that launches you into the stratosphere when you get killed by a giant.
It is perfectly right when the "Nobody" is referring to Ubisoft XD
@@johnmartinez7440 u
Probably costs a shitton to get the license to make a monopoly game in the first place so whoever's making it simply doesn't have enough money left to pay for proper testing if they want to turn a profit anytime soon.
@@johnmartinez7440 Except it's not necessarily fun? Or at least, can negatively effect the fun people have? Like Spiff said in the beginning, any game with a couple bots could do this. I wonder how many games have been played that have been effectively ruined by one of the players exploiting the hell out of it, or just simply how much the average game has been effected due to this bug. I can imagine how someone who played a full game with the hardest bots and completely kicking their butts might feel once they learn that the bots have been unintentionally giving them more favorable deals than they should with any mortgaged property. Especially if it's learned particularly after-the-fact and they can't quite remember if they sold mortgaged properties, or how many they have.
It just kinda takes away the feeling of achievement that one could have... as opposed to just being sent flying in a situation where you're already dead anyways.
I actually tried this on the Switch version, where it didn't work, and I was able to use the cost of keeping a mortgage in combination with having enough properties to instantly bankrupt the AI and buy those properties back.

It's not a coincidence that landing on the final two mega properties isn't likely, but we always seem to land on the taxation space inbetween. It's very well crafted mathematical modelling.

This reminds me of when I used to play Monopoly Party on the PS2 as a kid. This game has something called 'immunities' that you can trade, where a player would not have to pay rent on a given property for a set number of turns. The AI valued immunities quite low, to the point where they'll give them out on their properties with no trouble. It's been a very long time... but to my recollection, I would give myself a boatload of immunities on their properties in exchange for giving them a monopoly, and they would take it every time. What this ultimately meant is that I could continue to collect rent on my properties, but I would have to pay little/no rent to the AI. >:)
Monopoly games seem to have a history of terrible AI trade mechanics
Yeah even the main monopoly game on the App Store rn has AI on hard that’ll trade you any property if you offer slightly over twice it’s purchase price, unless they have two of them, but sometimes even then
So, when first going around the board at the start, you can buy properties they get from them right away and thus get a leg up

Early in the video you mentioned Monopoly normally being a long game - in a university writing class, my class read an essay from the New Yorker by John McPhee called “The Search for Marvin Gardens. The author mentions that a game can be completed by the rules in under 15 minutes. I went home and tried it, and found it quite realistic to do so, finishing a game with my brother-in-law in almost exactly 15 minutes. It turns out that the main problem with Monopoly is that people don’t follow the rules, and also introduce their own house rules that extend the play time. Im with the common consensus that as normally played, Monopoly can be rough, but playing it by the rules is actually rather fun.
I find it hard to believe you can do it that quickly. There are definitely house rules that make the games longer, but the official rules aren't quick. The game becomes quick if you have bad players, but it can be extended through basic strategy and luck (you buy property and go to jail = free rent for 3 turns) by a large amount.
@@Wyzai That game did really finish quickly. There are a few official rules that many players aren’t aware of because house rules typically ignore them. For example, as shown in the exploit, if a property isn’t purchased by the first player who lands on it, it is immediately auctioned. This rule alone speeds things up a great deal. It gets properties into the hands of players very quickly, even if they can’t afford the normal prices. After just a couple rounds of the board, you are almost always landing on an owned property, and money moves quickly towards the majority owners. I don’t think every game would be that quick, and multiple players would be slower than just 2, but I think 15-30 minutes is reasonable for most games if the rules are diligently followed. Unfortunately I can’t find many more people to play with because house rules have ruined it for a lot of people.
@@underthelidar most people don’t play with rules such as that ( or at least personally) because If you’re playing with people who, ( guess you can this is also a personal opinion) are actually good at the game, your not getting any property that goes to auction for less then the listed price. Only time people will let you get it for cheap are when they are bad players like the previous commenter stated. That’s the only way I see a game played by official rules will ever be quick. I guarantee that if you play with experienced players, official rules or not, it’s not going to be a short game
It's much faster to play monopoly when you only have two players.
What slows games down is when no player gets three of a colour because there's so many players and no-one wants to trade with each other.
@@andrewlund-nielsen4234 The auction rule isn't intended to get the property to other players for cheap. It's designed to prevent the players from continuously passing "lesser" properties in pursuit of more expensive properties. It forces the early stage of the game (actually getting all the properties bought out) to go quickly, which then gets money moving between players more quickly.
The auction rule coupled with trading can get houses and hotels down faster, which gets the final stage of the game to go quicker too. Obviously that doesn't guarantee a 15 minute game, but it should prevent the tedious and boring aspect of this game.
Official rules are 100% the way to go.
wow this video is perfectly ballenced!
I am aware this is a video from three years ago but the fact that it's classic rules but you can buy on your first go around the board....that's just wrong...
