- Welcome to brotato the world's premier roguelike dungeon crawling adventure where you play as a potato that must survive endless waves of enemies and each round improve your potato with weapons, stats and abilities. Today my plan is simple to prove if brotato is a perfectly balanced game with no exploits or if the ability to become god is exactly what the developers intended! Brotato is a top-down arena shooter roguelite where you play a potato wielding up to 6 weapons at a time to fight off hordes of aliens. Choose from a variety of traits and items to create unique builds and survive until help arrives.
Our build is going to be exploiting trees and the luck statistics to generate more upgrades than the game realistically expects and the luck stat ensures they are likely unique or legendary upgrades.

I have played Brotato a lot but never bothered with endless mode. I was unaware you could change options to allow such more powerful builds so quick.
So glad you have played it once again. It's a brilliantly simple yet entertaining and challanging game. Worth every penny in my humble oppinion.

As a minor tip if you're thinking about doing more fun things in Brotato, you can turn off the white flash from explosions in the options menu. Just makes things a little easier on the eyes, especially when you're getting the big booms.

@@AncientExplorationCanada there’s an item in the game called dangerous bunny that allows one free re roll, you can have unlimited bunnies. Given the absurd amount of chests, and luck, I wouldn’t doubt he had a lot of them come up.
Even so, this isn’t a world record run so it’s redundant, there’s no wrong way to have fun playing a game. He may enjoy a few mods and that’s okay! It doesn’t change how hilarious or awesome this video is!
@@Satan-777Well you are correct, I mean at this point it doesn't mean much, but I've put hundreds of hours into the game. 100% all achievements, played mods and everything. What happened isn't possible.

I just felt at the time when I wrote that message months ago that he was shedding a bad light that the game is broken and easily beatable.

The only stat that affects turrets and other deployables is the engineering stat and, if you have a certain purple rarity item, attack speed. Damage stat does not help them. The items that do something that is described by text do affect them. So explosion DMG/Size, projectile pierce/bounce/fire etc items are good for them.

@@thespiffingbrit Funny thing is, is that you arguably chose the worst possible character for this build.
See, explorer makes the map bigger by 33% which means more space for mines (and turrets and trees) to spawn. Whereas if you chose Old Man, you would get a 25% smaller map (compared to normal). This would mean the map would absolutely get covered in turrets and mines and therefore be even more balanced.

That build certainly turns that Lumberjack into an actual supervillain, deforesting the world and making the barren land uninhabitable via landmines and turrets. Almost makes the aliens look like the good guys in comparison lol.

I tried the general strategy and by wave 8 I picked up so many crates. Definitely a good one to try out.
Honestly, taking all yhr keys out of your keyboard, soaking them in a bowl of soap water, rinsing, letting dry and putting them back on....
is WAY EASIER if you take a picture of the layout first!
It will also be like a nice zen thing to do 😊
The way how you play this character is so stimulating for ADHD. Every second something is exploding 3 times and bouncing 8 times. Love it!

Picking up torture near the end could have cost you the run. It prevents healing by more than 4hp per second, so you will never heal fast enough that late in the game

Your stats scaled absurdly fast, almost unbelievably so lol the number of red items was insane. From round 15 to 16 you got 3 legendaries. 12 plastic explosives and 9 vigilante rings by the end of the run? Insane lol
Tried a few D5 runs of this build and my best ones never even came close to the stats you built.

I respect your opinion, so don't take this disparagingly, but it doesn't look that fun to me. It looks incredibly easy. It got so easy he was able to literally afk and win with no effort. What makes it fun in your opinion?
I've done this before and it's freaking amazing. Especially if you use bull and just go for the leaf as much times as you can. Then go for the couch and pretty much just try to gain as much - speed as possible. Those two points above combined will make you unable to move but also unable to die. If you hit any kind of key that would normally take you in any direction the entire game will start lagging out

Beautiful timing that you managed to get tea in your keyboard the same day i did 😂 i laughed while drinking mine because my cat did something stupid and spat a nice mouthful onto my phone, keyboard and mouse. Thankfully all are fine 😂
More developers should send review codes to Spiff, because he makes these games look super fun.
A while back I got curious if it was possible to get enough armour to reach 100% damage reduction. It is. Roughly 7 hours and 3000 armour later, my Brotato is quite literally unkillable.

100% damage reduction still means you take 1 dmg from every source, does it not? With -100% damage you still deal 1 dmg, so I's assume it works both ways
@@syferpolski4344 True, but I played as Bull with loads of explosion damage and size, plus all the regen + leech + max health from like 25 Grind's Magical Leafs stacking from 200+ waves, means any hit I take immediately obliterates the entire map and I regain any health lost before anything else can hit me. Of course, I self-damage every second as well so it's basically impossible to overwhelm me.
I think the most health I've lost in a round was 200, 99% of that from bosses that spam attacks.

I think this may be the first time I've commented on any of your videos but honestly I'm disappointed in the fat you didn't go max difficulty. I've had my potato so he didn't even need to move on max difficulty and got past level 50, I wanna say it was 57 when at last I was killed but it may have been even later than that.

The bull seems quite exploit worthy as well, especially with blood donation. Regen stacking is insane especially with couch, dropping speed and stacking inceasing explosion range allows you just stand in the middle and detonate the map with several hunderds of dps and little to no risk to self

Spiff try washing your keyboard with isopropanol then letting it dry. Do this by unplugging it. poor a small amount in the keyboard. Swoosh it around.
Lastly place it keys down somewhere and let it dry.
If that doesn't work then try removing the keycaps and get papper towels and isopropanol and go to town. This will depend on the type of keyboard on how well it will clean it.

I'm guessing this is multiple runs spliced together because your max health changes wildly between cuts, also it seems like enemy health may have been turned down because they were dying from 30 damage at round 14 which seems low
The max health changes because he has an (multiple) items that give him max health based on the money that he has. 1 health per 100 money, if I remember correctly, so it should be lower at the start of the round and slowly get higher inside the round, when he collects
From my testing with a mod that lets you chose your items instead of luck, you can have a maximum of 7-10 trees onscreen at once. However, having more trees does seem to queue the up so that they spawn faster.
I'm very sure he uses the shop mod. Which should be in the base game imo. I don't like rng.

Honestly this isn't a bad thing to do for any character. Usually if I get pocket factory early I usually always take it along with turrents whenever I can and take a point in engineering whenever there's nothing better. I will say i prefer the wrench over the screwdriver
