- You might remember the legendary song and meme sensation that was crab rave. Well imagine if the creator of that song became a game dev and made a video game where you Claw your way across exotic islands combining fluid movement with fast paced combat to become a Crab Champion in this third person shooter with roguelike elements. Ok you don't need to imagine the game is here and its called Crab Champions. However this is a special game. Unlike most games the developer of this one really wants you to actually break their game. This game wants to be broken. So what makes crab champions so special. This game features stats and skills that can be stacked and modified in a way that lets the player manipulate the gameplay to exploit, glitch and bug your way to becoming overpowered. In this video I will showcase a god mode immortality glitch, an infinite money glitch and an infinite damage glitch. All that and more because this game is oh so perfect for an exploiter like The Spiffing Brit!

she had a weird "jinx" power that seemed to reverse the odds of things happening.
right at the beginning, two guys are working on something explosive, and one guy says, "relax, the odds of a misfire are a million to one."
then SHE walks by.
the second guy says, "on, no, not HER!
BOOM!
later a scientist is trying to study her.
she spins a roulette wheel, and it come up "00" several times, then the lights in the lab flicker...
she then flips a coin repeatedly... *and makes it land on edge twice in a row* !
later yet a villain drags her along on a heist and steals some sort of Laser weapon, using her to Jinx the security.
he then lets her go, and Wonder Woman asks her if she knows what the villain intends to do next.
she says she heard him say something about causing a city-wide blackout.
that's all I remember of that episode.

I'm going to disagree with this game being high quality.
But, it's interesting and fun to play - and that's what is most important.
AAA games who pour millions to obtain a movie license, make thousands 4k top-quality textures of various types of refuse and then make a gloomy, dull and boring game should take note. I'm looking at you, GOLLUM.
All as long as the game doesn't glitch/crash often enough to cause much grief.
@@jwhite5008 I'd argue that a game being fun and interesting makes it high quality though... And even when I played the game a lot (I got 100% achievements a few months after release, although they've since added more), I never had a crash and glitches were pretty rare as well. Just the occasional item or chest spawning under the floor, which only really happens when you've already broken the game.

Honestly, the most amazing thing here is that the game did not crash. Didn't even start lagging. That is truly impressive!

What do you expect, his computer runs on Yorkshire Tea, cooled by Yorkshire Tea, and he’s drinking, you guessed it, Yorkshire Tea. No game could possibly dip his fps below 60.
You know how Spiff describes his characters as gods who can destroy their enemies by thinking about it. This crab is literally the guy Spiff always talks about.
He doesn't even need to think about destroying them. If he so much as thinks of going faster, cosmic rays explode out of his feet to clear the path around him.

You're all thinking too small: this is an AC-130 if ever I've seen one. Floating majestically above the battlefield, doing lazy circles while multiple gunners lay down hellfire upon the poor souls below, utterly untouchable.
I'm surprised Spiff didn't choose either the minigun or laser cannons. The fire rate on both of them are already high, but with a few upgrades you can completely break the game with fire rate alone.
I was thinking more like the combo of the.mech suit from starship troopers the book and iornman
I never really considered luck chests because I always wanted to go for damage stuff, but after seeing this video I definitely want to start hitting those chests too.
Just to make some context on the gameplay: Spiff's gameplay is on a recent (about 2-3 weeks old) BETA version and this entire Luck system got rebalanced in the LIVE version, that released this week, by replacing this Universal Luck stat with having Individual Luck bonuses for specific stuff (weapon/ability luck, perk luck, totem luck, loot rarity luck).
So basically Spiff got really lucky and fast to be able to make this video because it was only from a couple days to a week (2 days for this luck system in the video and a week for the nerfed version of this luck system) until this universal luck or this (sort of) broken version of the game lived then got rebalanced.
My point is the game's not this broken in the live versions anymore (at least on the harder difficulties) and you will not get bored soon in case you might want to try this game out.

So funny, at the point where you hit god mode I chuckled and thought to myself, “oh that was a good run, he’s almost completely broken the game so this must be the end of the video unfortunately” then I looked down to see there is like 8 minutes left! Bought this game after watching and cant stop playing it xD Its actually crazy how stable the game is considering most triple A games would freak out and crash if it had so much going on on the screen at one time, up over level 400 now with about 100 different effects going on at one time yet the game is so smooth. Love it

@@LoveTheDice I'll name some in the mean time, ofc this one, 20 Minutes Till Dawn, Binding of Isaac, Death Must Die (a Diablo-esk Roguelite), Enter The Gungeon (bullet hell roguelike), Gunfire Reborn (I'd say this is a lite bullet hell Roguelite), Neon Abyss and Hades, there's obviously more but these are the ones I've played. (Also, to clarify, as I called them differently, if you don't know, Roguelikes are, each run, you start from zero again (maybe with new upgrades that can be unlocked and then found during future runs) Roguelites, you can get upgrades after runs that you start future runs with.)

you remind me of my first run that i had, instead of enemies dropping loot left and right, i had so many chests lined up that i almost couldn't see the end of the line
You can also do a run almost exclusively based on shop upgrades. Crystal Dividends, specifically, is a _super_ easy way to stack profits to the point that the game literally cannot give you any more money, or risk a negative integer overflow. Stack that with Tony's Black Card, Special Delivery, and Tony's Amulet, and you'll be able to buy near-limitless abilities and upgrades to the point where it's astonishing that Tony doesn't personally break your legs for your blatant highway robbery of his shop.
Counter point on the risk of rain 2 comment, ror2 also manages to keep you very uncomfortably squishy lol, gotta rely on health gating for any kind of loop run, but ofc health gating doesnt stop a couple of things. The most dangerous is (funny enough) the void crabs that detonate on death, for anyone who may not have played the game or gotten that far, the void crab explosion is a flat one shot that only 1 thing in the game can prevent (corrupted safer spaces bc they completely negate damage from a single source)

I just got this game not long ago, good to see its getting more traction.
This was hilarious to watch, though I think a warning for the big flashes near the end might be good for people sensible to those x)
I feel like this video is a bit misleading, only because as far as I saw it isn't mentioned that this was played on The Beta Branch of the game, and used mechanics that ended up getting dropped entirely. I don't see any mention of this in the Video Description nor the Pinned Comment.
It is worth noting that even without the overpowered Luck mechanics that didn't make it into the live branch (nor are they currently in the Beta), you can have really snowbally builds like this, but they usually take a little bit more time lol

I haven't played since before this relic update, but I will be excited to get back on! One somewhat exploit my friend and I use is to share/swap perks when making purchases or opening chests. In general, it is always helpful to trade loop with a friend so you are more likely to make a specific, tailored build, but we often ended up trading things like streamer loot, gold dice, and faulty chests to get loads more loot by the end of our run. I also like to rebind both the grenade and melee buttons to one mouse button. Works like a charm.

I managed to hit an integer overflow and items in the shop cost zero credits. It took to about level 240 and I was able to hit the maximum crystal value I could hold (in game counter stopped going up around 4.5 billion) and legendary shop items cost zero with no discounts applied.
Thank you for showing me the game (bought it because of this video) as I took it and looked for a way to break it beyond what you showed us in this video.

Yeah this checks out. I had a run like this prior to some major fixes that meant I was doing negative damage, and I overflowed my money (so it went negative or back to zero, I don't remember). Oh also I don't think there was a "pick up all" option.
The fun thing to do when you get that strong is to optimize your build. You have limited slots to put powers in, so getting rid of the powers that aren't super helpful and getting better ones is interesting.
I normally don’t like videos but when spiff says to like the video, it’s hard to argue
I had a run of crab champions that went into round 200+ of endless mode, it was insane. Literally unkillable with endlessly scaling health and damage, it was beautiful XD Love this game
There was once a game with comparable game loop called Crimsonland.
Very fast weapon with small clip size + fast reload + "explode" upon reloading was a good combo for example, it could get kinda broken

Just started playing and fast weapons are definitely the core of a good run. Every shot is a chance to proc half of the upgrades in the game.

Been playing this game for forever. Got diamond status 3 days ago for the diamond account skin. It’s so much fun and with someone like you doing a video on a game like this, more people will play and it will get even more love. Awesome. Also, Yorkshire tea. I’ll have to see if I can get some to the US. Recommendation on a place of purchase for this? I am a tea person, not much of a commenter. Figured 2 birds 1 stone scenario.
There was an earlier build that let you dupe items in multiplayer. A friend and I made it so the shop had every item for sale every reroll. It was insanely fun

Breaking this game is so fun. Had a run where I broke the HP counter with the health doubling totem and the skill that gives a higher chance of rolling in your favor.

as someone who is tremendously into this game already with my best friends, lemme just say, that as much as spiff made this game look super fun, somehow he actually *undersold* how incredibly fun this game actually is to play XD and too bad he couldn't show what the *music* sounds like, it's really great too! honestly, guys, this game is a no-brainer, go get it. my best friends and I, not *one* of us are normally into shooters like, at *all*, and yet each and every one of us got addicted the very first time we played it XD it's soooooooo hilarious and crazy and satisfying, go try it!!

ok, props to the game dev. I know you have a powerful computer, but I'm at 19:00 and I didn't notice a SINGLE chug with all the VFX happening.... it is unbelievable

I really love playing this game. I broke it a few updates ago, to the point where my hp was only ever showable as 1, even though I had Several Trillion hp for my cap.
There's also a "feature" to break the game using a second player who hosts a lobby. The player who join in, can purchase from the key totem once like normal. Then drop the upgrade, leave and re-join. Making it possible to purchase again from key totem, and so on. You get the picture
Will require a lot of keys though.
Spiff mentions Risk of Rain 2, one of my favorite games, and I start frothing for a video on that from him

I was debating whether to buy this literally last night. Ended up going for Death Must Die instead. Now I may need to reconsider and buy this as well.
