What if the 1848 Revolutions happened differently? That is what Aftershocks of the Revolutions Redux (AOTR2), a hoi4 mod and a comprehensive alternate history timeline dares to answer.
In this video, we will be looking at how a point of divergence in eastern Europe radically changes Prussian history, leading to their slow decline and failure to unite Germany under their banner. However, after the Great War, their potential to achieve greatness has manifested in ways previously unexpected. Join us as we discover the rise of the Prussian Republic leading into 1936!

This is a very unique Central Powers victory scenario
Small map correction: Hamburg was never apart of the Danish realm nor Denmark have any legitimate claim on it so on the in-game map at the end, Hamburg (or the place that emit light where Hamburg should be) should be control by Germany

Hey all, thank you for watching! I have seen some comments saying that it shouldn't be "Burgerkreig" but should be "Bruderkreig". I did not mispronounce Bruderkreig, the conflict between the Prussians and Austrians in 1850 would be considered a Civil (Burger) war (Kreig)within the German Confederation, as the parliament had made a decision that several states disagreed with.
The Hapsburg and Hollenzollerns would not give up their claim to be the rightful German Confederation until the dissolution of the North German Federation following the Great War.
I hope this clears things up!

Burgerkrieg is still wrong. Civil does not translate to "Burger" in German, but rather "Bürger". Yes the 2 little dots are important because they change both the meaning and pronounciation. The Ü is essentially a ue, so it would be pronounced Buergerkrieg. (Bürgerkrieg)

That’s a planned path! If democracy survives in Prussia you can claim leadership of the Republican movement and unite Germany!

Why were the Kyiv Hydroelectric and Kaniv Hydroelectric Stations, and the Kharkovka Dam built over 50 years early than in our time as shown on your maps? Especially since Nuclear Power doesn't exist yet?

I think German Confederation could be son fun to play, obviously they have to balance the country, but maybe in one path you could unify all germany and at the same time integrate the territories that Austria lost to Hungary, Rusia and Poland

Hello, i noticed that the Finnish flag you are using is a bit weird. Atleast here in Finland that red and yellow flag is the flag of Finnish-Swedes. So its a bit odd in my opinion and i would recommend you to change it. For example the "Lion flag" would look cool or just the normal Blue cross flag.

@@bolle9810 Where is this information coming from? I can't find anything else than some flag proposals from 1917-1918 that uses yellow-cross flags and even they are mostly different variations.
@@Ile-17 I'm very surprised you can't find it, it's very easy to find the exact flag almost everywhere you look for proposed finnish flags
@@bolle9810 Yes exactly. It's unofficial flag only really popular amongst the Finnish-Swedes that was only proposed to be Finnish flag. That's why i don't think it makes sense to be the flag of Finland in this mod.
@@Ile-17 But that's not the flag used in the mod? Again it's the merchant ensign used in 1918. It might be hard to see but the yellow cross is inside a blue cross that is inside a white cross. You can find that flag being refered as the merchant ensign in the Finnish national archive and the book SINIRISTILIPPUMME by Caius Kajanti
Why is saxony with prussia? In our time line they had much closer ties with the habsburgs
I figured that the saxons would break away from the hapsburgs once they bowed to liberals

@@LoreDad I have read that before. That comment is referring to people who say that it should be "Bruderkrieg" (Brother's War). But I am talking about the "u" in "Burgerkrieg" should be the "ü" with the two dots over the top.
