Is there a reason you add additives after trace? I tried to make this soap and the brown lightened a lot. I used 50% coconut oil- could that have lightened it that much?
Hey 👋🏽, so there’s no reason lol, just personal preference. It could possibly be the amount of coconut oil. Since coconut oil is white and white tends to make colors brighter. Take titanium dioxide for example, it’s white and when added to soap or anything that has color it makes that color look lighter. Try a small batch if you can and cut back on your coconut to see if that helps. I can ask this question in my upcoming livestream if you like , but I think it may be the coconut.

I’m not sure this is my first time using baker’s chocolate. I’ll do a lather test in about 2 weeks or so and we’ll find out.
