Chenelle this is weird, when did you make this? I just made a lemon clove with the blue spirulina last night!!😁 It's scented with lemon & clove essential oils with a tiny touch of tea tree! It smells wonderful!! I used my beloved goat milk too! Ive been weed eating all evening so i just got a chance to rest and watch!! If i hadn't have weed eated I think you'd soon need a bush hog to find our porch 😂
🤣🤣. It was supposed to be lemon and aloe vera but I forgot to replace my water with aloe vera juice. I had to resort to something quick 🤣🤣🤣. What color did you get this time with the blue spirulina powder?

@@3baashandmadesoaps937 awesome! Chanelle, let me ask you a question, please? If I made a CP batch and used my 50/50 lye solution, but I used 50% of what I was supposed to use….wait, let me explain. I was supposed to use 7.1 Oz LYE. I used 7.1 Oz of my 50/50 solution!🤦♀️ so I actually only used 3.55 Oz of lye. It is an oily MESS! If I throw allllll that ish in the crockpot can I add my other half…7.1 oz of the 50/50, and “rebatch” it? If I can, when would I add the additional lye-water? I know I’d have to blend and let it do its thang, but I’m not sure when I would add it.😫 It’s 55 oz of oils and butters and I don’t want to trash it, unless I absolutely have to.🥺
To be honest with you I have no clue lol. I’m still learning about the 50/50 lye solution. I want to try it but I’m scared 😭😭🤣🤣🤣

I just made a cp of calamine, goat milk & aloe vera. Very excited to try it out. Also, I made a thick paste of Calamine and aloe vera juice for my sister's hives. She said it not only soothed but also "dried" up the hives. I'm curious to see if it shortens the chronic hives life span.
It just might. I know for a fact the calamine lotion you buy from the store is good stuff so I can only imagine what great wonders homemade calamine lotion/creams will do.

Would butterfly pea flower work for colouring ? It turns purple to pink in low pH, but stays blue in neutral environments.

I missed the live! My granddaughters here during the Summer take all my time! What a great live and that pine tar soap will make you fall in love! Many of my friends don’t like the scent of pine tar, so I add “Cuban Cigar” fragrance oil and everyone LOVES IT! Women AND men!❤
It’s okay 🩷🩷🩷. I was surprised at how well it lathered up lol. It was almost instant. Cuban Cigar sounds like it smells amazing.

My question is how long is the shelf life for this and how do you keep the color and consistency from changing over time?
Depending on how you store them 3-6 months or longer. Make sure they are an air tight jar and eep in a dark place.

Lovely soap! 🎀 I made a soap of rose, calamine and hibiscus. I infused the oils in rose hips, used rose powder. I usually make it once a year for one of my dearest friend named 🌹 Rose.

Beautiful! Calamine is staple for me. I made it using liquid coconut milk, fresh avocado purée and Bulgarian lavender eo.. I also infused the olive oil with calendula and chamomile, Thank you

I like the color! It would be really pretty swirled with a pink or white. I kind of see a bluish/purplish gray lol. I’ve also made your beginner soap recipe and it was wonderful! Thank you so much for your content and channel.

I see a blueish grey in the center, when first cut. The soap is beautiful, but I’m like you, ladybug, I’m giving UP on a beautiful natural blue colorant.😢
I thought it looked a little blueish grey too in the middle. Yes I’m about ready to give up on it and just use indigo.
The soap looks beautiful. I have used Cambrian Blue Clay from two different brands. One turned out green the other a mottled grayish blue color. It's one of my Mom's favorite soaps, does wonderful for the skin.

@@HB-yk4ut From our personal experience it does an excellent job of detoxing and exfoliating the skin but it's not drying at all, more balancing.

Blue Spirulina powder, as gorgeous as it looks, and pricier than the green spirulina too, generally does not do well in soap regarding holding that colour. It’s quite well known. But a brilliant well done for experimenting. The best place to make use of the rest of the blue powder you have left is to make BATH BOMBS with it, add it to your baking soda and other dry ingredients. It colours the bath bomb really well, and is unchallenged by the strong nature of soap lye solution. 🌻
