Y'all, about 10 minutes after I finished filming this video I realized that the LID of the jewelry box from Kaleidos lifts up…I lifted it up and there were EYESHADOW PALETTES inside of it. I feel confident that thousands of you are going to be like “why didn’t you use the Smokey Nostalgia eyeshadow quads” or “why didn’t Kaleidos send you the eyeshadows,” well, they did send them and I’m just a moron. In retrospect I realize that I could have at least checked Instagram for ONE SECOND before filming this to see what was in the collection and then I’m sure I would have found them. My only excuse is that 2022 has been total chaos so far but I’ve been using the palettes and I’ll report back about them in the future. Thank you for watching!!!!
When you report back on them, let us know if the pans are removable/magnetized! Because the pans on the futurism palettes are but the ones in escape pod or club nebula are not.. I’ve been so into building my own palettes that I don’t want to get new pallets that I can’t easily take apart and put back together again 😂
I wondered if the top opened. The unrelenting stress and uncertainty of the past two+ years has changed my brain (for the worse) as well. Hopefully a reduction in the cortisol coursing through my veins (whenever that occurs) will allow healing. Also that Cold Brew quad is the neutral-brown quad of my dreams - can't wait to hear what you think.

I wondered about this. I thought maybe I was confused and they weren't part of the new collection. It is surprising. To me at least, that such pinky blushes were released with such cool toned eye shadows. Maybe it's just me, but it seems like an odd choice.
Editing to add that the blush draping look is much better with the cool toned top, so maybe it makes better sense than I'm thinking to have cool toned shadows with these blushes.

For a second I thought Kaleidos pulled Jaclyn Hill on you. 😄 if you end up using them can you report if the neutral brown quad is not pulling pink or orange on the eyes? I’m fair olive and most of my neutral brown eyeshadows do that. And because it’s a quad it would not be that big of addition to my collection yay. But I really want something truely neutral for fair olive. 😌✨ or any recommandation would be great. The first two minutes of this video are just Hannah explaining why she looks too good to film the "feeling awful video." Frankly adorable. Purple-y pink blushes are some of my faves. I think they end up looking very soft on me. I'm not as pale as you, but have a neutral undertone.

When I worked for Bobbi Brown, I learned to refer to that specific family of fluorescent blushes as "clear pinks." A few luxury brands make something similar (Bobbi, Lancôme, possibly Dior?) and the unifying factor seems to be that they're built from a clear/translucent base formula, and contain no red/brown/gold/olive tones that might limit their use to a specific undertone. They look pretty bonkers in the pan, but end up applying beautifully from the very richest deep skintones to incredibly fair tones like you and I.
It's not the blush for EVERY makeup look, but I've really appreciated having one in my collection as an all-purpose flush, esp. on a day when I'm not feeling super inspired. Would totally recommend experimenting with it some more, I'm eager to see if it makes the cut!

How interesting! I have been looking at a similar shade in the backstage Dior collection advertised to suit all skin tones and I was a bit skeptical.. so now I know it’s a “clear pink”!

it's more true than I can even manage to communicate!!! even just the basic beauty lighting is so deceiving.
Lilac/purplish blushes tend to work well on me as they “correct” the sallowness my skin can sometimes show. I even bought a very light lilac color corrector to use as highlighter. It works.
You bring up a great point about “multi use” as a marketing term. I’ve only ever seen it used for those balmy stick products rather than powder products-considering how intently companies fight for new products or “issues” to “solve,” I’m surprised more brands haven’t tried the “multi use!powder” marketing angle 😆
@11:16 That bright neon-looking pink blush reminds me of the famous bright pink blush from Dior that Kackie loves! Kackie uses the Dior one as a light blush topper to adjust and cool/tone down other blush colours that may be looking too warm or unnatural.

Thank you for talking about the way makeup looks differently in real life than it does in images!! There is such a huge difference! Beyond texturally, even color wise, “perfect” skin in an image looks amazing, but in person it’s almost too perfect in depth and richness. Even if it is an exact match for a skin tone, it lacks something. Like …. This is so hard to articulate, but skin has an almost translucent aspect that you can’t tell the depth and “perfect skin” makeup like for camera has a definitive and shallow depth and is almost too rich in real life.

The Ilia mascara is my ultimate favourite, hasn't been beat, wand shape. The shortie bristles work wonders for my super curled bottom lashes, and the wider spaced long bristles work perfectly for my long but straight down top lashes.
this look is so editorial! love how the mix of burnt orange from the Ilia products and the fluorescent pink from the Kaliedos blush actually complement each other so well. I'm honestly glad you didn't see the eyeshadow palettes because this look was a delight to watch come together! :)

the desmond and dempsey towel robe is definitely my current favorite robe. But it's also my only terry cloth robe, and my newest robe, so it's got a lot going for it :) For a long time I have been considering doing a review of all of my robes in a single video, but I'm a little bit embarrassed about how many I have given that I am usually a champion of keeping an edited collection. It makes sense for me because I spend about 80% of my life in them 😂 but it's a lot

This look on you blew my mind!!! It's like the technique of blush draping was invented to perfectly suit and enhance your features.
Your aesthetic is immaculate - this look gives off a daydream-y Alphonse Mucha illustration type of vibe (in the best way possible). Your hair and makeup look absolutely stunning in all of your videos but this blush look in particular is literally /it/ and I am obsessed!
I have textured skin (even on the eyelids) and I’ve found ELF putty contours and putty blushes make WONDERFUL eyeshadows as they are so smooth.

I’ve heard about the Ilia mascara being amazing. I use Rare Beauty and it’s the best one I’ve ever used. I feel like I’ve tried every mascara ever. Everyone on CZcams says the Ilia is like the Rare Beauty except easier to remove. Now that you said you liked it it’s on my list! Not till I run out of my Rare Beauty though.

This year one of the items on my shopping list is one lip color, as someone who never wears any lip color. The ilia tinted lip balm is one product I’ve been considering to fill that box, and I’m so happy you applied it! I’d be really interested in hearing what factors you consider when determining the numbers for your budget (without necessarily getting into the actual numbers). For some reason I have such a hard time establishing a budget for varying expenses such as groceries and I find it even more difficult for things that are not a necessity like makeup. Subconsciously I want to spend all of my extra money on beauty and fashion but I don’t literally want to spend all of my extra money on those things 😂 This was a fun video to watch. Thank you!

I was so worried that cool toned blush would clash with everything else but it came together amazingly! I also really liked your thoughts process for how you styled your clothes and accessories around the makeup. That's something I struggle with. Often I'll do my makeup and not know what to wear with it because I feel like none of my clothes match what's on my face.

I love a lot of the Ilia line. Love the mascara and cool nude eye shadow. I was disappointed in the stick Illuminator, polka dots and moonbeams, just not creamy enough. Fun video and you look fantastic! Love a great hair day.

I love blush draping looks, I feel like they always look so chic, and the combo of it and your hair makes you look like a seventies dream.
Also, I know so many people love that ilia mascara and frankly, I hated it so much. Somehow it both flaked and smudged on me, plus it didn’t hold the curl I work so hard to get into my lashes.

Ilia’s mascara and Hourglass Caution mascara are my all-time favorites. They’re good from day 1, no need to wait for them to dry a bit. Love this look on you. Really like the draping technique. The earrings and top really amped it up. A++

So fun! Loooove so many products from Ilia. So glad you got to play with some products. That mascara is one of my all time faves and I always have a tube in rotation. It never flakes, smudges, removes soooo easily. It also plays well with other mascaras if you want to try layering. The lip balm applicator is actually ceramic, not metal. Loved the look with the "Salted" up KALEIDOS lip 100%, but that Ilia one looked gorgeous on you. This look would be the envy of a modern day Jem (ahhh 80s kid here lol xD).
