Freedom is on the other side of fear.
Went out running for the first time in a year this week, despite the high level headache. It was a great accomplishment. Went out running again today, despite the high symptoms. I am brave. I am gonna get better. Thank you, Dan ❤
Fear is like the booming voice in the Wizard of Oz & when you face it (as Dorothy did) it's really that little man behind the curtain. Easter is all about renewal, rejuvenation, resurrection, the turn of the wheel back toward the light. Loving blessings to you all..we can do this. Thank you Dan for this wonderful message of reassurance, hope & confidence.💜
Thank you Dan, this was well needed this morning, I'm feeling pretty rubbish just lately in a lot of pain, but im now going for a walk with the Dog I wasn't going to until I listened to this podcast 🙄🚶🏼♀️🐶
What I found helpful was becoming best friends with my fear and 'holding it's hands'when doing things. Pushing it away or doing something agains and not listening to it didn't work for me. Connecting with it and encouraging it to do more helped x
Such a vital message. Taking action over fear has been such a key in my recovery. Many thanks for your teaching ♥️
I got the bike out 2 days ago, but had to put it back. It was too windy. Then it rained ;April showers, and all that. I don't think fear is an obstacle. I think fear is a friend. I think the problem might be not understanding that. I still can't figure it out. It might be something like this: you say hello and understand why you feel that way, then you take your friend along. I am still trying to stop fighting. It is like fear and I are frenemies
I like the example of the fire alarm, it clicks with these kind of examples (for me)!
Great video, Dan there’s so much truth to that. I am starting to experience that a little bit. You can’t sit around and wait to be better. Expansion happens when we have the courage and make it happen!
Thanks for everything Dan.
Happy Easter 🐣
44 YEARS OF ABUSE.
All 44 years of my life, so far,
have just been suffering.
I can no longer bear the suffering.
My rage is red-hot-white.
May all those whom I loathe,
suffer for all eternity,
for what they've done to me.
I WILL NO LONGER
HAVE MY VOICE SILENCED.
I WILL ROAR!!!
Love this video! Perfect timing. I’m in the phase where I’m slowly getting back to life. Went on a first date today, scared the crappp out of me, so much doubt. But I had so much fun as well. Feeling terrible now but I know it will pass and if I keep exposing myself, the sensations will disappear. Thank you sooo much for this video today
So needed to hear this today. Excellent video Dan ❤
Boom. Happy Easter 🐰
I walked like a crazy person in the AM. Flare and all!!
Feel the fear and do it anyway. Very wise video. Thanks Dan 🥰
Fear is also affraid of Dan, because with him, fear looses all its grip.
haha - thank you.
thank youuuuuu, dan. this is encouraging! 🙏🏽 enjoy the rest of your weekend and see you in the group meetings next week - we ❤ you, too!
Thankyou Dan. Again such an encouraging video . I am being brave as I have booked tickets to fly over to the UK to see my family again , despite my fear and worry.
Have not seen them for a few years now !
Wonderful. Enjoy the trip!!!
Stand up to fear. Do it afraid. ❤ ty
“Do it afraid” Joyce Meyer
Great message aligned with where my thoughts were going today. 💜
Thx Dan ❤❤ have a great weekend ❤
Excellent! Do it afraid!
This video is really important. Fear is the key. My symptoms are back as my fear of my performance nears. I am telling myself I am ok, nothing to see here.
This was such a Boost of confidence.
Screw fear!!
❤
💛
As always another incredible video. Happy Easter 🐣 God bless you
Great video! Thanks! Happy Easter weekend!❤
Thank you for teaching!
Hey Dan what was the name of the podcast I'd love to listen to it
Do you believe you can overcome MS? Thanks for all your great videos!!
MS is an interesting thing. The diagnosis of MS can sometimes be incorrect. Some with the white spots have no symptoms. Some without the white spots have the symptoms. MS is not an exact thing. I have heard of people given that diagnosis who eliminated symptoms. Per the video from today, do the work anyway and see how it goes. czcams.com/video/3NKyGeCNKnM/video.html
If you want to see how your symptoms are behaving, do the FIT assessment on this page: IsThisPDP.com
@@PainFreeYou thank you 🤗🤗
Not only switched off my symptoms but healed a piece of my heart too. Tysm❤
Fantastic!
Thankx Dan. I appreciate everything you say.
✌️❤️😎
Would like more videos on dealing with fear. Thank you.
❤❤❤❤
With Love…fear cannot exist. Via Jesus
Right! “Perfect love casts out fear” So instead of telling my brain “I am safe” I say “I am loved”
Am struggling to get to grips with this as I do have actual back problems and nerve damage in my legs. Any suggestions for how to apply this pdp concept to alleviate the symptoms? I do try the oh well attitude and occasionally they calm down a bit for a split second 🤔
Clarity on the actual cause of pain is important. Have you done the FIT assessment to see if TMS/PDP applies? Go through the questions below. How many do you answer as "true"?
If you answer yes to even one of the criteria, that is an indicator that your brain creates the pain based on perceived danger. Your body is not the problem.
FUNCTIONAL:
-Symptoms begin without physical precipitation
-Symptoms persist after an injury has healed (3-6 mo)
-Symptoms are in a distribution pattern that is symmetric
-Symptoms occur on one whole side of the body or occur on half of the face, head, or torso
-Symptoms spread over time to different areas of the body
-Symptoms radiate to the opposite side of the body or down a whole leg or arm
-Symptoms that occur in many different body parts at the same time
-Symptoms that have a quality of tingling, electric, burning, numb, hot or cold
INCONSISTENT:
-Symptoms shift from one location in the body to another
-Symptoms are more or less depending on the time of day. Or they occur first thing in the morning or in the middle of the night.
-Symptoms occur after, but not during, an activity or exercise
-Symptoms occur when one thinks about them or when someone asks about them.
-Symptoms occur when stresses increase or one thinks about stressful situations
-Symptoms are minimal or nonexistent when engaged and joyful or distracting activities, such as when on vacation
-Symptoms are minimal or nonexistent after some kind of therapy, such as massage, chiropractic, Reiki, acupuncture, an herbal or vitamin supplement
TRIGGERED:
-symptoms are triggered by things that are not related to the actual symptoms, such as foods, smells, sounds, light, computer screens, menses, changes in the weather
-symptoms are triggered by the anticipation of stress, such as prior to school, work, a doctor's visit, a medical test, a visit to a relative, or a social gathering; or during those activities
-symptoms that are triggered by simply imagining engaging in the triggering activity such as bending over, turning the neck, sitting or standing
-symptoms that are triggered by light touch or innocuous stimuli, such as the wind or cold
I've only been watching a short while but I'm learning. I appreciate these videos, thank you! Lately I have been wondering if my brain is creating the pain to get me out of doing things I don't want to do, that I dread, and/ or to get annoying people off my back. Could this be? People tend to back away when I am in pain.
We can look for the "meaning" behind the pain. I'm not sure the brain has an alterior motive in trying to get you out of doing things. I think it is more simple. The brain perceives danger and turns on pain. Teaching the brain the danger is perceived and not actual, the pain can turn off. I would suggest you go back to fundamentals to find out what is causing the pain and what to do about it. DansFastStart.com I believe in you.
Thank you Dan 💯💯😅
I believe that and yet in the midst of my closest friend of 45 years had a massive stroke and is home with us again but seeing him like this is very challenging. Perhaps it is also a re minder of my mortality since we are of that age. Luckily one of our friends is 43 and is like a nurse to him. Amazing. I'm more afraid when I see him since he is not who he was and will never be again and yet he is getting better. It's a shake up. It's part of grieving I think and mixed in with anger. How to navigate through this?
Allow yourself to feel the feelings, but do your best not to get swept up in fear of your future. Embrace today.
@@PainFreeYou thank you easier said then done. I hear you though
Dan do you feel that Somatic Tracking is necessary for healing? I see other channels and they indicate that Somatic Tracking is the number 1 tool. I like your nonsense approach to TMS.
I have seen many many people get well without somatic tracking. It's simply a tool. It's not required. If you like it and find it helpful, it's fine. I focus on safety. If somatic tracking feels like it creates safety, feel free to do it.
I am afraid off taking a medicine. It is a new one. What can i do? Tips?
I can't really comment too much on the benefits or pitfalls of medicine since I am not a doctor. However, Fear and the perception of danger is, in my opinion, what causes symptoms. Fear of a medicine is more likely to lead to side effects. If the medicine is required, do your best to trust the medicine and your body to care for you. If the med is not required, you can make your own decision.
what happens to a weak person that gets chronic symptoms?
We learn to become stronger. It begins by changing the story from "I'm a weak person" to "I am strong". No matter where you are starting from, this work can and will help. A good place to begin is my fast start playlist: DansFastStart.com
