- What happens when you put a RUF 993 Twin Turbo engine into the back of a G Series 1985 Porsche 911? Outrageous and entertaining consequences ensue. And 2nd gear wheel spin.

Mid 80s Porsches are my favorite
That's a cool build for sure. Not just the engine, but the other attention to detail in the interior and as you pointed out the effort to dissipate heat. It's a wonder that these air cooled engines were ever able to run, but run well they do indeed.
Thanks! Yes a lot of attention to detail. Almost every interior surface has been reupholstered - quilting, leather, red stitching, branding. A lot of work.
When itt holds 12 quarts of oil and big oil coolers she shouldn't run over 18o degrees.😂
@@kevinbodman1011 true, but those turbos put out a lot of heat!
Looks familiar🎉🎉🎉
Your car??
Looks like a track rat. A bit rough around the edges and well used. Would have been nice to see it in anger on a straight bit of hwy. Also to find out more about the engine.
Sounds a bit RUF to me. Absolute deadly weapon for sure.
A bit RUF driving it on Sydney streets over speed bumps and pot holes.......😁
Needs more open roads to hear the turbos pull. I feel like this is more of a GT car for going really really fast since it's not N/A and gets its true power from the boost.
haha yes the streets were pretty tight too. Next time I think we'll do Old Pacific Highway so we can stretch the legs a bit more.
959 was the first twin turbo road car
Ah good point, I stand corrected. Thanks!
I am not certain that is a real Ruf. Do you know if it has a Ruf vin#?I believe it should. The car is a beast regardless of whoever buys it there's no doubt that every time they drive it they will be smiling.
I would guess it's not a real RUF car because RUF didn't swap engines across chassis's i don't believe (i.e. this is a 993 turbo engine in a G series car). Perhaps the engine was originally out of a RUF car though.
Good video, but you have to do something with the sound. Your comments sounds like you're in the toilet commenting.
Urgh yes you are right. Thanks for the feedback and I will fix this in my upcoming cars and coffee video.
