Porsche 911 Restoration and reviews in Australia
Daikoku Parking Area - RWB Porsche in Japan
I visit the Daikoku Parking Area in Tokyo, Japan to track down a Rauh-Welt Begriff (RWB) Porsche 911. Daikoku Parking Area in Yokohama is known for having the best Japanese car scene in the world. But can I find some 911's hiding amongst them? I take a look at one of Akira Nakai's creations and how you can rent and drive it in Tokyo!

Early 911S Brake Caliper Restoration
zhlédnutí 107Před měsícem
Two different types of Early #porsche911 S brake calipers came into the workshop at the same time, and so I decided to do a side by side and restoration video. Using a sandblaster, wet and dry sandpaper and some clear coat caliper paint, I refinished and resealed the 1969 S calipers. These classic Porsche 911 and 3.0L 930 Turbo calipers are a beautiful product from ATE, and need to be restored ...

Restoring Recaro comfort seats
zhlédnutí 238Před 2 měsíci
It all started when a guy near me said he was cleaning out the Porsche parts from his garage. I went around to see what he had. The Porsche 911 from 1969 to 1973 came standard with Recaro comfort seats. Today I show you how to restore these classic leather car seats and put them back into your car.

Dying red knobs on your classic Porsche 911
Pretty stupid of you to go speeding in areas blocked by a line of parked cars where you can't see if some kid is going to run out from nowhere chasing a ball or something. If you hit and kill someone, they'll put you in prison for about 15 years.
❤😂😢😮😅😊😊😊 hell yeah that 85 Porsche wants to move down the street like it’s supposed to and on the freeway like it’s supposed to and on the track and span the other cars back in your tailpipe and spit them out for breakfast lunch and dinner
Yep, no mercy!
Had a red one 😊
Nice! I think I like them better without the GT2 bolt on flares.
Mid 80s Porsches are my favorite
Is that something that you learned in Home Economics?
Haha yep with a dash of lemon. This cures the caliper paint.
They are not even painted! That's bare metal!
Painted is probably the wrong word to be fair. They are clear coated.
Looks familiar🎉🎉🎉
Your car??
Good video, but you have to do something with the sound. Your comments sounds like you're in the toilet commenting.
Urgh yes you are right. Thanks for the feedback and I will fix this in my upcoming cars and coffee video.
That looks awesome already mate!
Thank you! It's painstaking and sometimes painful work using the paint stripper and stripping discs.
NICE RIDE
Looks like a track rat. A bit rough around the edges and well used. Would have been nice to see it in anger on a straight bit of hwy. Also to find out more about the engine.
959 was the first twin turbo road car
Ah good point, I stand corrected. Thanks!
Sounds a bit RUF to me. Absolute deadly weapon for sure.
A bit RUF driving it on Sydney streets over speed bumps and pot holes.......😁
Needs more open roads to hear the turbos pull. I feel like this is more of a GT car for going really really fast since it's not N/A and gets its true power from the boost.
haha yes the streets were pretty tight too. Next time I think we'll do Old Pacific Highway so we can stretch the legs a bit more.
I am not certain that is a real Ruf. Do you know if it has a Ruf vin#?I believe it should. The car is a beast regardless of whoever buys it there's no doubt that every time they drive it they will be smiling.
I would guess it's not a real RUF car because RUF didn't swap engines across chassis's i don't believe (i.e. this is a 993 turbo engine in a G series car). Perhaps the engine was originally out of a RUF car though.
That's a cool build for sure. Not just the engine, but the other attention to detail in the interior and as you pointed out the effort to dissipate heat. It's a wonder that these air cooled engines were ever able to run, but run well they do indeed.
Thanks! Yes a lot of attention to detail. Almost every interior surface has been reupholstered - quilting, leather, red stitching, branding. A lot of work.
When itt holds 12 quarts of oil and big oil coolers she shouldn't run over 18o degrees.😂
@@kevinbodman1011 true, but those turbos put out a lot of heat!
Great video, and a surprisingly simple fix. This does however need a follow up video “How to remove red dye from your wife’s granite benchtop”! 😅
Haha yes, she only watched the video last night and had that exact question. Glitz Stone and Benchtop Cleaner is the answer and it actually works. Not that I spilled anything 😉
Nice
Not worried. My knobs are OK.
That;s my old car, I posted some info for you in your post on Pelican. We did the majority of the work up here in Brisbane with Promotive I had the wheels done in Melbourne and they took ages
Thank you, well done on building such a great car
What a great looking build. Love the body and engine mods.
Beautiful car, I'm also in Sydney. Picked up a 993 cab a few months ago.
Congrats! 993's are great, just the right size and enough modern comforts.
Well done!!! Very cool!!😊😊😊😊😂😂
Thank you!
