I think you have to put the Ioniq 5 in there if the EV6 is. More room, more supple ride. Unless the looks are a complete turn off for you.

No Ioniq 5 or Kona EV(2024)? Curious to know your reasons, ignoring the AWD bit the Kona is quite efficient more than the previous smaller version.
I'm also confused. The Ioniq 5 is way more versatile then for example the MEB cars due to the movable rear bench. Also the charger times are way better and the performance is not matched in any way. Sure the Kia EV6 is basically the same car, but it's a lot smaller and not as roomy. We have our Ioniq 5 for 4 people and a dog and replaced a VW T5 with it

Yes, Ioniq 5 with awd, and build on the same platform as feks Kia EV6 and Genesis g60, e-gmp. 10 cm longer wheelbase than Ev6. The Ioniq behaves much more like a boat than the ev6 etc. it probably boils down to Kris not liking it enough for it to be in his top 6. He like EV6, i dont. Had a new GT-Line for 3-4 months.

There will be new software to ID4 and ID5 on new 2024 models 😊 SW 4.0 with new hardware (new processor). Seems to work much better and faster than previous models. Great list! Thank you!
I got few weeks ago my Enyaq 80x with 3.6 version also seems to work really well.

Thanks for the video. When considering used cars older contenders are cheaper or sinikar priced as these. E.g. Original e-tron, I-pace, EQC, etc. How do you think they compare to these cars? Also, your arm flailing is very distracting to me for some reason 😂 I think the wide lense somehow makes it look like you’re about to hit me in the face, but maybe it’s just me 😅

I totally agree with your choice. I have owned Tesla X and Polestar 2, have driven ID4 and Y. Choose the XC40 P8 and i am really happy. I was very happy with the Polestar 2 too, but because of problems with my back i needed a higher car. Overall quality of both Polestar and XC40 is very good. Both have Google, and its the best system on the market.
I agree with you’re points on #1 & #2. For hauling the family, ID.4 is the ideal choice, on solo drives, Model Y please 😁

Recommend car of the year in Norway over all of these. It's even an SUV which I wouldn't classify all on your list. But you put your money where you want, so do I 😀

Missed the biggest problem with the MEB cars. Cold gate! It might have been fixed in the 2024 models with preheating, but haven’t seen any tests yet. Total dealbreaker for me! We have both an Enyaq and a Tesla Model Y, and with the Tesla i can go anywherw with confidence with no risk of being stuck with a slow charge. I really like the Enyaq, but until they fix cold gate and app communication problems I can not recommend it.
You say it yourself. Preheating for 2024 MEB will fix the cold gate. Its not the best 2023 list. And even more improvments.

In many markets the VW costs more than the Audi for the same equipment!

Got a ID4 first edition and swapping it to a Enyaq. I would not recommend the ID4.
Why?
Personally, the ID 4 is at the bottom of my list of recommendations. Looks are subjective, but it’s just feels like an unfinished product. Plus, it charges like any other MEB car, poorly. I am not a Tesla fanboy, but I feel like the user experience for someone who is new to EVs, the tesla would be so much better. If you really don’t want a Tesla, then I think an ionic 5 would be better choice.
How would you know how those MEB charges after with new rear motor, no one haven't got them and 4.0 offers battery preheating.

Is the EV6 an SUV? I wouldn’t call it one. No love for the XPeng G9, it has faster charging, better range , superior interior and the price for what you get beats everything else on the list.
I also can’t figure out how the ID4 beats the Skoda? You get the same as the ID4 but with a superior interior and a better infotainment system.
Why no BMW’s tested? EVER? No i3, no iX3, no i4, no iX, no iX1

@@jonpetter8921 my point is that he has never, ever, tested any BMW electric vehicle. He completely ignores the brand. I'm not thinking about any particular model, but its strange that he doesn't acknowledge BMW as an EV car maker.
Hmmm…an EV 6 but not an Ioniq 5? The Ioniq 5 seems much closer to being a SUV.
XC40 and Audi are probably great handling vehicles, but not good as a family car with kids. Any car with less than 500L luggage compartment is too small in my opinion.

The trunk volume only measures below the seat height in cars (except tesla that has invented their own figures). Due to the boxy shape of the xc40 it is actually is a bit more roomy than what the numbers tell you if you fill it to the roof. It also has the nicest interior of all cars in the video.
What? No Nissan Leaf on your list. Can get two for same price at that id4 thing 🤪

Got be honest, I do not understand how Tesla get away with the supercharger thing. Imagine going anywhere to charge fill up or buy anything to told, nop you don’t have the right thing. I will never own a Tesla , I do own Tesla shares because people love Elon musk BS
The Audi exterior looks cheap and nasty to me, i’d not make the top 20 for me. Neither would the ID4. I’d have the Hyundai Ioniq 5 as top stop and MG4 xpower in 4th. Fisker Ocean probably also makes my list displacing the Skoda or Volvo. As for buying, why buy a compromised family SUV anymore when the ID Buzz form factor exists, I’d be hanging on for the all wheel drive version of that.

I wouldn't say cheap, but that giant plastic radiator grill dummy shows how lost VAG is with electrification. They have some very good tech, such as the motors, but overall MEB is a failed attempt, in my opinion.
