This band was one of the most talented groups ever. Just as an example, the guitarist is not just a great guitarist, but vocalist and song writer as well...and has a Ph.D. in astrophysics and does scientific research. Yes, these people are THAT GOOD!

Although I have heard, and seen, this thousands of times since it first appeared in 1975 I still love it as much as I did the first time. Four great musicians with the best frontman of any band ever, Freddie Mercury the GOAT. You're right about the guitar sound, nothing better. If you want to hear the best ever guitar solo look at "Comfortably Numb" on Pink Floyd's "Pulse" live album, guitar at its absolute best.

This 1975 masterpiece is what we call Rock Opera. Some other classics include Pink Floyd "The Wall",
    The Who "Tommy"
Meat Loaf "Bat out of Hell" (he recently died RIP)
Freddie meant to basically take the listener on a journey, to be interpreted by that person however way he/she feels by the end of the song. It can have different meaning every time you listen to it. Each part is meant to be different - sad, remorseful, scared, hope, anger, rebellion, resignation & surrender so we end up with 3 songs in one, that takes ya on a roller coaster ride.

  • @pinkey943
    @pinkey943 Před 2 lety +3

Rhapsody is a characteristic musical piece of romanticism composed of
different thematic parts freely united and without any relationship
between them. This song recreates the myth of "Faust" in four blocks.
The ballad, where he confesses a murder to his mother, and says goodbye
to her. The Opera buffa, where the judgment of his soul is recreated,
where angels and demons discuss condemnation or forgiveness. The Rock
part, where the Devil makes his plea, saying that he cannot escape his
sentence, nor live a life dedicated to evil, and then pretend to betray
him, with excuses such as that he has had an unjust life. And the final
section, where he reflects, and does not care about condemnation or
forgiveness, since he has always lived according to the circumstances or
how the wind turned ... (Leaving to free interpretation, according to
the lyrics or classical musical language, that Freddie knew a lot about
that, if he was convicted or saved) Just how i see it.

I love your energy. And I love seeing you enjoy them as much as you do. You should consider checking out their full performance from Live Aid back in 1985. With close to 70 different acts, most agree that Queen stole the show. If you’re unfamiliar with Live Aid, do a quick search to see what it was all about. NO ONE commands a stage AND audience like Freddie can. And trust me, the Live Aid performance is around 20 minutes but if feels incredibly short. I’ve never seen anyone comment, after doing it, that it was too long. People shared concerns it might be too long. However, the performance is so mind blowing that people watching the reactions to it don’t seem to mind how long it is either. It will blow your mind. 👉🏻🤯

Welcome to the Queen's rabbit hole!
They have no autotune software, synthesizers or other tech shits!...but just raw talents!
But beware of common side effects: denial, depression, bargaining, anger, acceptance and maybe(!) more 😰

It is thought that the man he killed in the song is his previous self when he came out as being gay to his mother.

The guitar player made that guitar himself and the red guitar in the video it got stolen at a concert was missing for around 40 years before a fan bought it at an auction met the guitar player Brian May couple years back and he asked the fan are you selling it and how much? The fan said no, the guitar player looked disappointed and sad and the fan said, because I am going to give it to you the guitar player perked up and looked surprised the fan gave that guitar in the video back to him and the guitar player explained where and how the guitar got stolen and he asked around and got rumours it was out of the country it was here it was there not knowing if it was true or not.

This song is sometimes misinterpreted. Some think he’s talking about killing someone but he’s talking about himself because he was dying of AIDS and apologizing to his mom. He says goodbye to everyone. This still makes me tear up because I did lose two people very close who died of this horrible disease. RIP

It's a song the singer Freddie made describing his coming out he's gay telling his mom his friends etc.teloing his mom he's killing the straight man he pretended to be the straight man he doesn't want to die but he wish he never made the straight man he pretended to be born at all,l. He wanted it to be a country song but it sounded better when it came out as a combination rock /opera sound.

Great reaction! Since you seem to enjoy great jazz singer. You should check out the band Snarky Puppy featuring Lalah Hathaway singing "Something". They actually won a Grammy for this performance. Lalah is the daughter of American soul singer and musician Donny Hathaway. She is one of the best living jazz singer and underwhelmly popular. Check it out you will be blown away.
