For seed and sickle, I'm trying to add a keyword/phrase in silver pen at the bottom for the dusk meaning and in gold pen at the top for the dawn meaning (just not sure if I'll ever finish that project). I added curious creatures to a hayhouse order ($8!), and do think it's a good reader with a great guidebook, but I already have animal heads on human bodies with the Northern Animal Tarot (love the art on the second edition but hate the cardstock).
My issue with your example with the Bohemian Animal Tarot is that Wolverine makes absolutely zero sense to me for the 2 of Wands. Wolverines are about ferocity and defense, which doesn't tie in at all to the 2 of Wands. And some of even the animal archetype description of Wolverine just doesn't make sense. That's a big issue for me. I also have a HUGE issue that the characters in the one card depicting a Romani/Traveller caravan are pigs. That feels so completely offensive it ruins the entire deck for me. I'm a major animals person and can be quite picky with animal based decks, especially animal Tarot decks. The animals need to make sense with the meanings of the cards. I'm just not sure how much that's happening with the Bohemian Animal Tarot.
I have both Seed & Sickle and Song of the Grandmothers. Right now the second is a favorite of mine, but I LOVE Seed & Sickle and wouldn't let it go. Even though both decks are nature based, they are different and can be used alternately. Then again, I don't have a collection of decks as big as yours...
I bought that Seed and Sickle cause of you! :) It does pair well with the Pacific Northwest, but I feel ya on being chained to the guidebook. I might try to alter mine... imagine that! I have both the Healing Waves and the Mermaid and they sit in two totally different places for me... Healing Waves is like a magical journey in overall ocean energy and the Mermaid feels like a fun date at the beach. :) I always enjoy your This or That!
I personally regret not backing healing waves tarot. With that said, I would keep both because they're so different. I nearly couldn't breathe when I saw you pull out forest of enchantment. I'm so in love with that deck I can't imagine a this or that with it. It's a 100% safe and needs no conversation in my collection. I felt so relieved when you were more just using it as an example 😅
I’m sooo in love with the Pastel Unicorn Tarot! Thank you so much for introducing it to me! I didn’t know of this tarot brand before and I also want their Blissful Dolphin Tarot and maybe Alice tarot.
The bohemian animal feels very different than the curious creatures to me. Ik that sounds weird. They feel like super different voices to me. That’s part of why I’ve never felt called to the curious creatures. I also love the guidebook to bohemian. I’ve always been interested in tarot of the divine, but there’s so many other decks I want that I’m sure I won’t have it for a long time if ever. I just have a hard time with certain depictions of lore within tarot. Sometimes they just don’t hit for me. I adore mythology and fables in all cultures so I think it’s hard to connect with a lot of them. They feel very superficially connected in concept a lot of times. Loved this, as usual. Thanks, Lisa!

I recently gave away my trimmed kawaii tarot. They really wanted it and I couldn’t bond with it. I hear you on the art is busy but it’s just so cute. I think I should get the coloring book too! Brilliant!
Hay House had a sale. it's over now but I purchased The Tarot of Curious Creatures for $8.00, matter a fact it just showed up at the door. I totally agree with all of your choices. I did manage to get The Healing Waves at good price and it will always be with me. I don't have a Unicorn deck yet I have not found the right one until now ! Of course it's the Unicorn's Journey Tarot , everything I have seen just enchants me. Most unicorn decks are pastel and airy which is fine but this one is full of color and depth. and it's a story that starts at that leap and all that comes after. It's like looking at your sister's babies sonogram , watching it grow, it's makes you feel apart of it and so excited for the baby to arrive. I'm so happy and proud of Lisa and Peggy ! Because as a couple with the love and support they share makes this journey possible !

Sad to see it going. For big book for tarot of the devine I have a method. With my partner in evening we pull one card and read story together aloud, chance for some quality time but also have one card pull reading. I wouldn't be able to choose between forest of enchantment and tarot of the divine 😱
totally get what you mean about the kawaii tarot! I get my fill from her “how to draw” books which are also fantastic! I made little drawing kits for the kids at the library I work at with those books and they love them! 😁

Tarot of the Divine is one I moved on too. I kept the story book though.
