Benoit is pronounced “ben-wah” - it’s a French name! This deck is stunning and I’ve never wanted to read a deck’s book so bad! Thank you for this amazing deep dive
When I hear a tin opening I know what's going to make an appearance
Thank you for this deep dive, I wasn't sold based on the listing photos but I can now see just how special it is.
Not me buying more furniture since I now need room to add this to my collection and I'd just reached capacity
Man I love decks that have continuity in them, where you see certain scenes in different angles through the deck! I know you had noticed that the 10 of wands is the same treehouse in 10 of cups, but I think also the couple in 10 of cups might be the same couple in the lovers? Love that so much!
As someone who loves the Marseille system, I might just need to get this - I adore all the little details that are written about in the book that might get passed over if you're not looking for them! (example, the man-made pool in the moon)
As someone fascinated by both systems I knew I had to have this deck! Its really lovely. Up there with Dame Fortune's Tarot in terms of decks that are doing interesting things with tarot without going off and doing their own thing.
Wow, I did not expect this. Thank you so much for doing this deep dive. I initially had it on my list but took it off thinking I don't need another RWS clone. Well, barely halfway through this video, I am pressing the checkout button on Llewellyn. I will be keeping my eye out for a deck study for this deck and sign up for the Unicorn Fam. Thanks again for this!
You’ve completely persuaded me to buy this deck. I’m sold! I definitely want the guidebook and the images are both charming and thought-provoking. I love decks that make me think and take me deeper into the cards. Thanks so much for this excellent walk-through/review. 😊
Oh wow! That seven if pentacles is amazing!
I ordered this deck after watching this video and I am not at all disappointed! I can't wait to work with it more...now I just need to figure out what oracles it works well with. :D
Thank you. I've been looking forward to your review of this deck.
I am excited about your in-depth dive on the Under The Oak Tarot 😊
You convinced me that I need this deck and guidebook. I would love to do a study on it. P.S. Simone Benoit ‘s last name is pronounced Ben-wah. It’s a French name.
Thank you for sharing this beauty. I’m still waiting for my pre-ordered deck from Amazon. Release date was supposed to be July 8th.
I'm getting date pushed back on all of the pre-order decks I'm buying on Amazon... no idea if this is normal for the industry, but I'm getting it several times on different decks, sometimes pushed back numerous times on the same deck.
Ok, I definetely want this, I especially want to dive into the book. But ofcourse, I already have so many decks🙄 thanks for this deep dive!
“Is. That a potato?!?” 😂😂😂
As someone interested in reading as many different decks as I can, the addition of Marseille symbolism to the RWS cards is intriguing. That alone probably would’ve gotten me to buy the deck, but the guidebook looks amazing!
You convinced me that there was more to this deck than I originally assumed after receiving a damaged deck and exchanging it for a replacement I finally was able to check it out this week. Such a phenomenal deck and book! I am still deciding if I will leave the edges or match them with the pops of yellow gold on the back. Either way I am thrilled you have decided to offer us a deck study! I may have to start after the kids return to school but what a great way to wrap up summer!
Wow, what an awesome deck😊 I have just added to my Christmas wish list😊
Thanks for the deep dive. Will be buying it!!
So of course I loved the deck and it's officially on the growing-like-Topsy wish list. Interestingly enough my favorite card (and really the description in the guidebook) for the first time ever is the four of cups. It reminded me of something an old friend used to say, "Feelings buried alive never die."
Thanks as ever for your work. All the best, Donna
(this is super random but...) Feelings Buried Alive Never Die is an EXCELLENT book! Maybe your friend read it and that's where they got it from, but the idea of buried feelings comes from a Sigmund Freud quote: “Unexpressed emotions will never die. They are buried alive and will come forth later in uglier ways.”
(But seriously, the book (by Karol K. Truman) is really amazing. There's a whole index section titled "Probable Feelings Causing Ill-ness" where the author associates illnesses, pains, diseases, etc. to probable root-cause feelings. Ex: ALLERGIES: Suppressed weeping, imitation substitute for colds, feelings that don't seem to have an answer to change, fear of sharing feelings with people, feeling stifled, denying own power, feeling aggravated by someone or something. Even if they aren't all true, it's a fascinating look into holistic healing!)
😂 what an emotional rollercoaster you rode with this one...oh Lisa you know we love your gushing ❤
I have already watched one walk-through of this deck, and had already decided that though the deck was nice, it wasn't one I needed. But when I saw that you had a deep dive and I love your deep dives, I made a cup of tea and sat down to watch.
I paused the video just now to write this to say you haven't even got to the cards yet, just starting on the book and you've already sold me! Geez! I'll return with further thoughts after the video...
Fantastic insights!
As someone who's interested in tarot for the purposes of not just personal development/self reflection, but true divination and fortune telling, the emphasis on fortune telling in the card entries is definitely a plus to me.
I definitely think we should study this deck next!!! It would such a good time!!!

Eek... might be too soonf or the next one cuz it' snot out in the UK till mid August. It's hard to do super new decks cuz not everyone can get them, but I definitely will add it for a future study!
#lisamademedoit - just completed the purchase of this deck while watching....... Love your enthusiasm
Thank you for doing this deep dive! I'm in love with this deck! There is sooo much in every card, it's amazing. I'm purchasing this one for sure. It will help expand my readings.
Thanks so much. This is maybe the first deck I've seen since Everday Witch that confronted me with new perspectives on some of the ways I saw RWS cards. I feel that it will definitely expand my awareness for interpretation. First thing, I love that back design and somehow it's made all the difference where some of the imagery might have made me pause otherwise. For mass market, the Amazon price is a bit higher than I might have expected. Glad you said, though, that the cardstock has a linen texture. That probably made a difference in the price.
Not me on Kindle store looking for Simone Benoit! 😂😂😂
I love your deep dives- I always learn so much! Thank you! I own this deck and can’t wait to play with what I now know!
I can’t wait to be able to purchase this deck! Thank you so much for doing this in-depth look! 💕💕💕your insights are so so helpful!
I was on the fence but after watching this, I'm sold! This is going to be such a fun deck to work with!
The sword that Justice holds is also point down in this deck, and point up in Marseille, which definitely has symbolic implications as well.
Yes please include this in a deck study we need that this is such a great deck love it so much
I’m hooked! Thanks Lisa. Just about to order this deck
You got me so excited- just ordered and cannot wait 😊
Lisa made me buy it! She had me at 3 of swords. As always your enthusiasm of tarot is so contagious.
I really cannot wait for this to be released here in Europe, I have been looking forward to this deck now for what feels like aaaages! 😅 I want it now!! 😂
Thank you so much for this deep dive Lisa! ❤
I saw it was a golden egg on the emperor’s shield. There are many eggs throughout the deck actually. I’m curious to know what they mean.
Just went and bought this deck. I’m so excited to work with it! ❤
This deck could very well become my new favorite and I can't wait to hold it in my hands!
There's seriously a battle going on in my head between the English Magic Tarot and the Good Fortune Tarot for which is my favorite. They're both amazing!
I've been eyeing this deck, the art on some of the cards has really drawn me in. I didn't realize it was a new deck until this video😅 I definitely am gonna pick it up once the shipping date is closer.
I cannot wait for this one. !!! 😃
I'd definitely vote for Good Fortune as the next member study deck!!
It might be a bit tight for the very next one - since it's not out in the UK until mid August but I think it's a great candidate for a future study for sure!
So much for me saying Im not buying another Llewellyn deck for a while. I really like this one 😅
Thank you Lisa this was awesome. I will definitely buying this as I love Barbara Moores decks 👌
Scores points for having a cute jackalope on the inside of the box
Ooh, I love their exposed feet and hands on the Death card... slightly less unpleasant than the alternative from the OG Marseilles.
So this will be popping up on the poll for a deck study soon, right?
Yes!! Probaby not for Aug/Sep, because it's not out in the UK until mid-August, but maybe the next one!
I love the new interesting elements in this deck. What a cool takeaway! I know zero about Marseille, but still find the nods to it very cool. Also, I found it very interesting in the wand court cards all of the wands are lit up except for the king!
Numerology of the name Simone Benowit anyone??
I’m so glad you did a deep dive, especially into the book! This book and Barbara Moore is the most exciting thing to me about it! I love Barbara Moore. Not that the deck isn’t beautiful. It is. I just wasn’t sure it added anything new to my collection. I love soft sketchy artwork like this and have a few decks already. Linen card stock though, chef’s kiss!
Lisa, on the Empire's card it looks like there is a golden egg on the shield, rather than a pear. What do you think?
That would make more sense
