  • Learn the song and you'll know how to set your blocks up correctly every time! This video uses Auditory Memory Reinforcement (having a song get stuck in your head) to teach sprinting block setup.
    As a musician who is both fascinated and unsettled by AI's insatiable hunger for all aspects of human creativity - I say let's at least have some fun with it and mix up the traditional sprinting tutorial inspired by some old school east coast hip hop.
    So this video is 75% human, 25% robot.
    Human: athletes, film crew, editor, lyric writer, frustrated prompter
    Robot: rapper, beat maker
    Featured Athletes: Cejhae Greene, Dario Mateo, Favour Ashe, Azeem Fahmi, Makanakaishe Charamba, Warren Fraser

    Thid is an interesting concept and helpful.
    Also when you are accelerating or running at top speed should you jusr focus on your entire body being fast for a quick foot strike with power.

      Thank you, that is great to hear. In answer to your question: Yes, focusing on the entire body's speed and coordination is crucial. Quick, powerful foot strikes stem from optimal posture, efficient arm movement, and strong core engagement. Also, not reaching with your stride and landing under your center of mass. It's all about the synergy of your entire body working together.

      @@OutperformOfficial thank you so much. It is very helpful when you consider what you should be thinking off when sprinting. Like a simple motto , quick turn and quick attack. Maybe you should do that for a video

    Another question,
    How do I keep form at top speed and improve top speed
    Whenever i am at a meet i always have the best start and im ahead at the 50m mark but then after that i begin falling behind. How can i improve please?

      Good question, max velocity and speed endurance drill swill help. So things like ins and outs czcams.com/video/3XAewCniWkk/video.html 30m flys and wickets should help your upright sprinting. Also not tightening up and staying relaxed towards the end of your race, keep a good rhythm.

    May i ask you..
    Why great problem the weak calf muscle for sprinters?
    Low max speed?
    Lot ground touch time?
    Thx..

    Quick question
    I know that when you are running at the start u obviously strengthen your legs to get lots of distance.
    But when you are running at around top speed should you still tense your leg?

    • @OutperformOfficial
      @OutperformOfficial  Před měsícem

      When running at top speed, you should not tense your legs. Instead, focus on staying relaxed and allowing your legs to move fluidly. Tensing up can actually slow you down and increase the risk of injury. Aim for a quick, powerful ground contact and maintain good form to maximize your speed.

      @@OutperformOfficial thank you sir, additionally, how are you able to slice the ground and still created power.

    At the end of the video, it sang to change the block setup according to the sprinters so all the points and the angles you mentioned below are not useful ?

    • @OutperformOfficial
      @OutperformOfficial  Před měsícem

      Like every technique or training tip, your block set up should be adjusted to match your unique anatomy. So of example, some athletes will get better starts with 2 foot lengths and an additional 4 inches to the front pedal because of their leg length to torso ratio. However for the angle of pedals, body angles etc. those are pretty consistent across the board. Make sense?

    Nice video but why does this sound like The Fresh Prince of Bel Air? The 80's called and want their beats back... just messing with ya.
