- From The Seekers farewell concert at the BBC in London
July 7 1968.When breaking up that year they broke
the hearts of their fans all over the world.
But with their reunion in 1993 we took them
to our hearts again ( or,did they ever leave our hearts)and a starved public could again buy recordings with them and see them in concert.
"Colours of my life" was composed in 1967 by Judith Durham and David Reilly
Judith had the voice of an angel. The purest voice I've ever heard.
2009, i am 57 listened to a lot of music, this woman has the greatest voice i have ever heard.
Never heard a more pure Voice or seen such beauty in a woman. Pure innocent beauty i mean.
This is one of my favourite Seekers songs. I remember my brother, who adored the group especially Judith, being given the album it came from, 'Seekers Seen in Green' for Christmas in 1967 just a month after its release and he played it incessantly. Judith's voice is just sensational on this track. (Let's face it, her voice was sensational on any song but on this one she excelled!).
These were better times and music than now ❤!
How Much Better can This Clip Get? Its truly Stunning and quite Simply Breathtaking.
I Cant stop watching this, it gets better everytime.
If you can listen to this
Without a tear in your eye
Then your Mother never told you
It's okay to cry
beautiful!
What a superb voice - I love listening to Judith Durham - only Abba come close but as a 4some!!! This lady was great - I wish she would go round the world solo and sing these wonderful songs
I'm an old guy who is rediscovering some of the music of my youth. This chick had absolutely the best voice ever! Jay Black has the best male voice of the 1960's and she has the best female voice. Sooo beautiful.
Outrageously Beautiful .
judith and her voice are national treasures!!!!!!
There is rarely a song that moves me so deeply.
Colours of my Life.
The Seekers.
My God.
They Seek us yet.
At any age, she's going to have that charm, talent and charisma...
When the seekers where on tour I wonder how many proposals Judith received from her audiences. Just the most georgeous woman alive. Still looks good now even though she's in her 60's.
Listen carefully and then listen again--this song paired with this singer may be as goods as music ever gets.
There were many great female vocalists in the twenty century but none have reached the purity, clarity and richness that Judith achieved. She sings with effortless ease and pure joy. There is the entire female vocalist of the last 100 years then there is Judith in a class of her own far above them all. Just pure joys to listen to her sing the great songs of the Seekers.
possibly Deanna Durbin... but not many I agree.
You've said it best.im sure she's singing for the lord now.what a beautiful person.
I am 56 years old and have loved these guys since I was a young girl. I think Judith set a wonderful example of what pureness and sweetness was about
. Her voice truly did seem angelic. The group was awesome. I always was partial to groups such as theirs.I am glad Judith is recovering after her brain bleed..she's remarkable. She was happy to see a piano there while recovering she said and thankful for even the smallest tasks she can do.Yes, the brain is amazing but so is she! God Bless!
THIS IS A GREAT SONG, WHAT A VOICE.
God bless you Judith and thank you x
WOW, Isn't it amazing their paths crossed, if for a short time, to form the Seekers. This song is so Iconic and meaningful of the 60s, Fashion, Hippies, sex drugs n rock n roll, and Vietnam.
Fully agree with you - their best performance. Judith has a beautifiul voice in full flower here, and she wrote the song as well. A lovely memory (I am an Australina who remembers their glory days in the 60s)
I,m sitting here listening, shaking my head and smiling, again. I am a fan of many great groups , from the 60s and 70s; Temps, Tops, Fifth Dimension, America, Eagles, Bee Gees, to name a few, and some solo acts. All had a lot of great production staff/ musicians/arrangements behind them. "To me", The Seekers, with just 2 guitars, a double bass, unique oustanding harmony and musicianship and, of course, Ms Durham, are the best.
What a beautiful song by a beautiful woman and artist, no matter how many times I listen to this song in different videos, like the documentary they made it a seekers, it always brings a tear to my eyes and a lump in my throat! She had the most beautiful voice of all pop female voices, rest in peace Judith.
Thank God The Seekers are recorded on modern equipment. They are the greatest group ever. Their songs so melodious, their harmony perfect and as for Judith - the voice of an angel. I have a lump in my throat listening to them again and I realise the years have flown.
I seem to think this is so fine a song, atmospheric in fact, in this black and grey winter, but the birds are a singing in the morning now, and the colours of life are coming back and never left with this beautiful song
I totally agree with you. It does sadden me to see the state of the world we live in today. Gone are the better days of our past. The age of innocence certainly seems to be gone. Our elusive dreams seem to be dashed by the harsh realities of a world filled with hate, doom and gloom but I try and focus on the belief than in the end good will conquer over the evil. I just keep my faith and try not to get dragged down by all the ugliness in this world. Stay strong!Listen to our oldies, lol.peace!
Magic. Also written by Judith and Dave Rielly.Seekers a naional Australian treasure.
RIP Judith! thanks for the music! 😢
Her best live performance ever. Impeccable
Sublime! We will never see the like of them again.
Judith Durham had perfect pitch - puts almost all past and present popular singers to shame! What a talented lady she was.
Absolutely. She had such an incredible, distinctive voice. Her's is right up there with Cass Elliott.
We will always be blessed with the songs produced by the Seekers.Judith Durham had a voice like an angel. They will continue to remain in my musical thoughts.
Judith is amazing. It's like her whole mind, soul and spirit blend together to produce a beautiful voice. When she sings you don't want to stop listening!
Judith Durham's voice is unique. A once in a lifetime thing. I've never heard anything quite like it, ever. A truly amazing sound. It has a clarity, resonance and perfection like nothing on this earth.
Marry me Judith!!
there are lots of golden things in this world but none of them as golden as judiths voice.love you judith.xxx.
Just been sitting here listening to the seekers most of the afternoon, most groups make at least one bad song, apart the seekers , I can say that the seekers never made one bad song, I love them all, thank you seekers xx EVE XX
Judith has a voice like cut glass. So clear & beautiful.
That description is very close to a music critic's who once described her voice as "having the fine edge of blue steel".
A lovely song sung by a lovely woman.
mooie tekst, doet me terug aan vervlogen tijden denken,
prachtige stem!!!!!
Excellent choice! I agree with you all the way.....and congratulations to you
Judith Durham’s wonderful voice and equally wonderful singing talent are my biggest single reason for any belief i have in God. One reviewer said her singing is on another level to any other female singer. I’d say you Judith’s singing is a huge number of levels higher.
one thing for sure, we will never find another her in life ... beautiful, and gentle hearted, Judith Durham.
RIP beautiful Judith Durham - a hugely gifted talent put on this Earth to touch peoples hearts everywhere.
Frankly, this is some of the best music to come out of the 1960's.
Simply stunning!!!
I just know John Denver was listening to this, too.
Thanks Again to the Seekers,
John E. Bowman N.Y./ Ky.
the seekers are just awesome. I listen to them over and over.
The first I remember of the Seekers was "A World of Our Own" which got some radio play in Canada in the 60's - the harmonies and Judith's voice just grabbed me. Still have a big vinyl collection of the early Seekers. Have to get around to capturing them one of these days.
I never get tired of listening to this song and Judith's beautiful voice!!!!
No question about it, She can flat out sing. Effortless accuracy, quality and power. The fellows have stand out talent too. They have no gimmick, other than a unique, great sound/harmony that will never be duplicated, even closely, by anyone else but these 4 people.
My God, What a Incredible Singer this lady is.
I Love everything this Group has ever recorded.
I think I could listen to the Seekers all day long. I was only 11 when this production was done. It still carries me back to a time when music was just so clean and clear.
ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL AH
Cant wait to get to heaven to see her.such an awsome spirit.thanks for the memories Judith.....😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Someone mentioned they were born too late; I wasn't for great group, The Seekers, but I was for The Poni Tails & it got me to thinking, so search for The Poni Tails "Born Too Late" & enjoy this great from '58!
The Seekers broke up way to soon, they were enormous and who knows how great they might have become! Look up Judith singing Danny Boy and 500 Miles, what a fantastic voice.
Just beautiful. x
I can't see enough of this one either. I'm awestruck!
A voice that's both distinct and beautiful. There isn't a pop-star today that is anywhere near her..
Beautiful, simply beautiful, both their music and Judith. I'm thankful for being able to listen to all of their songs on here. I've been listening for many years. There will never be anything like them again, long live the Seekers
Reminds me of my grandmother.....
I love the way she sways and uses her hands and head to express the song. Love watching her... thank you Procull
The Seekers and Judith Durham one of life's great treasures.
What can you say, she is unbelievable!
I hope Judith reads these to know how many of us still think she's the best after all these years.
I have been listening to this beautiful voice for 40 years. Judith is a national treasure. I show this to my grandchildren aged 10, 6 and 4 every time I visit and they just sit there in awe which is very unusual for them. Thank you Judith!!!!
This song says everything for me, just listen to the words and that angelic voice. It takes me back to very happy times, a very sad last performance by the Seekers but a lot of music to remember and share. This is dedicated to my love Linda.
Funny you say that. I recently revived an old thorens turntable and when I went through my vast record collection I spied the old well worn Seekers album. I played it and cried through most of it. I gets played a lot. not bad for a 63 year old guy! Now I can watch this group and relive old memories and hear and not Watch them, thanks to Proculled!
I never get tired of listening to Judith sing this song......the voice of an angel .
The Seekers is for me...Colours Of My Life
in the top five greatest female singers of all time simply beautiful
Fabulous group....Beautiful track.....Best female singer of our time...they don`t come better
than this!
Even though they split the year before I was born I think their music is fantastic. These video clips have brought it all to life for me. This song in particular is beautiful and I could listen to it time and time again
This might just be the most beautiful thing I ever heard.
When I manage to find where those perfect notes come from I am sure I will have found heaven.
No: Judith never broke our hearts...she filled them to overflowing and then stopped when we were complete. And now we have even more....wonderful indeed.
Greg
We can't do anything about it but it does not matter how old she is,I think we all will love her always for sharing her gift with us.

I've known the Seekers biggest U.S. hits since the 1960s, but today's the first time I've heard this particular song. An instant favorite! Thank you, Australia, for giving us the Seekers!
RIP Judith.
What a voice, what tasteful choices of songs too.
Beautiful, won't be seen again.
great arrangement sung by one of the top voices in history - R.I.P. Judith, you were one of a kind, with a supporting cast of geniuses to boot - true class acts like this one are a thing of the past, but the music will live forever...
What a fantastic performance. It was a while before I was convinced they were singing live it was so perfect. Wish there were some singers around today who were half as good.
Truly astonishing..... I totally agree with an earlier comment. To stroll on stage, second perfect & perform to such a standard. Absolutely incredible. This little Lady is truly unique.
I just found out we lost our wonderful Judith. She sings in heaven now!
I could listen to Judith sing all day. It's transfixing. What a beautiful voice....
I just can't get enough of these wonderful singers. Have been listening for over 40 years and enjoy them more and more as time goes by.
Long live the Seekers and their beautiful music.
Its more than just Stunning, its Magic and this Lovely lady has got me under her spell.
She trained as an opera singer also. Though fortunately, not for long enough to "iron out" that beautiful, remarkable, distinctive, mesmerizing,... natural singing voice.
As a child i loved Miss Durhams voice pure and emotive, i feel truly blessed to hear it again, i feel she is a true angel i thank you Judith Durham and youtube from my soul for giving joy to millions around the world x
Tremendous, Judith is an amazing singer, one of the wonders of the human race.
A remarkable tune with such penetrating beauty. Judith brings to the performance a special quality that far exceeds just her talent as an amazing singer....she touches the heart as well as the soul.
The song itself is so beautiful. In this particular rendition I get almost entranced by the beauty of Judith´s expressions as she stares at the camera. The black-white -grey tones help to give such a recording a very special atmosphere. One of the most remarkable in the huge yotube collection of performances.
The three brothers are just as good; it take the four of them to make their music the best.
Judith defies comparisons and adjectives because she is magic. Her countenance, her voice, the pure beauty of her smile, gestures. In a blink of an eye your heart is captured. Nobody will convince me this is not true since many other men report the same feeling.
Ditto!
gorgeous & a classic album too, seen in green, thnx 4 posting proc
PURE Magic.... absolutely delightful. Brought tears to my eyes remembering how happy this fantastic group made me feel when I was a child.
What they were seeking, they certainly found.
The Seekers, especially Judith as she soars, truly have SOUL.
Yeah, I agree with you. Totally underrated.
I didn't come across your note till today.
Just listened to the 1963 version of 500 Miles...and was duly impressed by the strength and control of Judith's voice so early in her career. I'll get back after I listen to Far Shore
I had a bit of a celebrity crush on Olivia, Marilyn McCoo and Linda Rhondstadt. Sadly, in the U. S., I never got to see, even a picture, of Judith Durham, in the 60s. It might have been for the best. If I had seen this, I would have been completely gaga. There is nothing more alluring than a uniquely beautiful woman, who isn't aware of that beauty. The fact that her voice is out of this world beautiful, also, cannot be denied. She, and the rest of The Seekers, are my absolute all time favorite group.
Amen to that.
wmden1 you have good taste, my man
wmden1 I'm so glad to an American appreciate our beautiful Judith and the rest of The Seekers! They were my favourite group growing up in the sixties and still are! Thanks! Greetings from down under!
@@wendyryder2708: When I passed through Melbourne and Sydney as an enlisted man I was treated with courtesy and respect like no other place. Thank you folks down under. It's no wonder a great group such as The Seekers was rooted in your continent.
