bro i tried your trick to keep to fingers from slipping in my G6 and it's a revelation! big ups bro!
Glad it helped!
Wondering if you find much difference in the pockets where you have skate lace in one and not in the other? Thanks
It is extremely minimal, the skate lace has a bit more give to it so it will slightly dampen the puck better. But actual catching qualities really doesn't make that much of a difference. If a puck hits the pocket, chances are it is staying in there.
When I got my 6.1 I felt it closed and played more like a 600 while the 6 was more similar to a 590
I think this is a perfect example of how I mention Warrior gloves close in anyway you want them to.
I'm not sure how well you can help with this but...
I am obsessed with an outdated glove. I will only use the R/GT2. It reminds me of my baseball days and for some reason just feels so natural to me. I've tried the G3 and it wasn't right.
Any recommendations to the closest feel to the old glove in a new setup?
I never felt like the GT lines ever felt like the G# lines, any chance you can try a 7.1 on?
@@HockeyReviews unfortunately not for a game or two but I have a few stores local to me that may have them in stock to get a feel for. Thank you for the content and the pointer for me to start checking that out!
I always feel that the most natural feeling glove in store will feel the best on ice as well. Obviously you can't tell the specific glove characteristics out, but that is extreme knit picking anyways and if you are comfortable with the closure it will probably be better for you than if you go for something with a specific feature.
Good luck in your search! Let me know what you try on and find!
@@chrisdoeg5199 Warrior recommends the 7.1 glove if you enjoyed the GT2
@@HockeyReviews I went and tried a brand new one on at a local store to me. Instantly can tell it's very similar. The closure is close enough to what I want that I would feel comfortable buying one for sure. Thank you again!
Is the g7 glove more of a 600 degree break ? Your saying the 7.1 is more of 590 ?
Yeah, the G7 is more of a 600
Which glove (G7 or G7.1) and which palm (60° or 75° or 90°) should you choose to be as close as possible to a 590?
G7.1 in ideally 60 degree. But I have found the palms don't really make big difference.
so G7.1 with the 60° palm?
because I wouldn't like to make a mistake between because I've always played with 590 (koho, reebook)
60 degree palm would be ideal in that yes
How is it for puck handling?
It closes really easily so it is easy to grip a stick. I find that break angle doesn't matter as much as people say, it's more of what glove feels natural on them and how broken in it is. There are gloves like my JRZ though where the tee gets in the way of puck handling so you have to adjust your hand angle to be more based on the outer palm
