  • This is how I replaced my XPM foam with the Resilient Goalie Foam.
I'm not sponsored in any way, I paid to get this just like anyone else would.

Thanks for the video. The video is interesting, useful and informative. A long time I tried to find the video like this. Thanks

You can also just ditch the foam harness and use velcro for your foams.
I've done my Cooper SK200) and Bauer NME 7

I've recently done a Resilient foam replacement in my Hackva mask. Their foam is great! Nice job on the video.

Thanks! I have to imagine it's a huge improvement on the stock in that mask.

Jack, did you just go with their universal kit? Any tips for install? I've got a Hackva thats due for some new foam. Any input is appreciated!

@@kylemerriman2765 I started with the forehead piece and worked out each way from there. There are some good videos online from other goalies you can check out too. Hope the link helps.

resilientgoalie/hackva-2608 kit is the one I used. Tried to link it, but CZcams keeps deleting it

I believe it voids the certs if you remove the foam, that’s why they won’t sell them which sucks.

Best answer I’ve heard you’d think Bauer could retain them if they’re officially their product though. Seems like a rule that needs to be updated.

@@GoalieUnion 100% it was the same for having authorised artists to paint their masks they where trusted to put the mask back the “correct way” it’s a shame hell even if you could send your mask to a licensed shop that could do it. But alas they would rather us buy new masks than re foam them.

Keep us posted on the sweat absorbtion of it

Happy to report it's fantastic! Before with the old foam I could push my cheek into my shoulder and it would pour out disgusting sweat. After the game it was just damp, zero significant water retention.

@@GoalieUnion that’s awesome, definitely sounds like a good product. I know what you mean I have to squeeze it out after each training session. The porom looks thinner than on the original foams tho would you say it’s any less protective feeling when wearing?

    • @jean-francoispoitras6857

Interesting since Poron is an open cell foam which by definition will retain water. Neoprene is a closed cell foam

Can I overlay this on existing foam from a nme4 for a tighter fit. I play rec hockey nothing serious and is not looking forward to spending 400 or more on a top of the line mask

    • @GoalieUnion

Missed this, They might have some thinner layered foams that would work but unless your heads the size of a toddler overlaying this kit is a bad idea.
