    That yellow down the cushion for Goobsy to go 7-2 up was a massive turning point in the game,well done to both players...a great game to watch.

    Great tournament! Why was there not an audience though? Pool of this calibre deserves it. Even at university college games we had more people watching than that.

      This is exactly my first thought. Surely a couple of 100 would pay in a few quid to watch a match of this standard. I don’t get it

      Based on the number of views these videos get, there doesn't seem to be that much interest in live attendance

      Because the prize fund is still rubbish I'm afraid. It ain't changed for 25 yrs.

    This game is a perfect example of how psychology plays a role in pool. The average player would have lost it after the two mistakes Tom made but i guess that's what separates the best from the rest.

    Anyone know what table they play on? I know it will be rasson apollo in the coming months, just wonder what this table is - doesn't look like a supreme

      Well, if not this one, there is one in Shreveport, Louisiana in a couple of weeks. I'm going there to watch! I'd play but I'm 65.

    23:30 How is this not a foul ? The red ball was frozen to the cushion.

      @guywebster8505 Před 2 měsíci

      It must not of been touching. I agree that it does look from the camera that its touching the cushion, but I highly doubt the ref would allow that to slide if it was a foul.
      All the players on the tour are too sportsmanlike to not call their own foul either.

    • @honeybadger9001
      @honeybadger9001 Před 2 měsíci

      Yeah I agree it mustn’t have been frozen. It looked it but the camera is deceptive (sometimes balls look like they don’t pass and then comfortably pot).

      @guywebster8505 Před 2 měsíci +1

      @@honeybadger9001 Definitely 👍👍The overhead view gives a better prospective of if a ball passes although not perfect, But really can't tell if a ball is touching a rail or another ball if its super close (The type of close where the ref has to put his hand over the ball to see)

      Looks legal to me, last second of shot you can see a little gap

      Watch it at 0.25x speed and you can see the red touch the cushion after white contact, its not frozen.

    Would like to watch these guys play 9 ball on a 7 and 9 foot table. I get the feeling they would be spectacular but im thinking if they played straight pool we would see a lot of 100 ball runs or more.

    The only thing that spoil s this is the hopeless commentators, stating the blindingly obvious shots, and making blindingly obvious observations to most shots..People watching this are almost certainly pool players, who KNOW what shot to play ir if a player has fooked up.. we don't need telling time and time again... please, just shut up!!!

    29:51 there are NO pool gods. Stop
    Worshipping your false gods. And don’t say manna from heaven then proceed to say pool gods! God almighty is the ONLY God and there is no other!

    Tom nailed only a couple of breaks and the commentators squeezed even the last drop outta 'em.
    How can he have the best break when he barely pots one or two balls ?
    I'm an amateur and I break better and have better control on the q ball after contact
