Get a program about his grandad sorted and show us his old bikes please!
Ashley Reynolds I’m sure we can sort something out in the future! Hope to have more stuff on my channel if you can’t wait!
Absolutely stunning looking bike that. And I really like the format as well, TMF. It's great to have a chat with someone about their bike and then a ride on it.
I really like the format of talking to someone else about their bike.
Thing really is gorgeous! Thanks for teaming up and sharing!
Well done TMF and Max. Buddy I would be happy with that bike just parked in my lounge as an ornament to look at. What a pretty bike, well done sir. 👍🏍
his grandad raced mv's in the 50s and 60s and all you said was " o , right"............. and he still has them all in his garage???? get straight round there and earn your keep flyer. now.
Beat me to it. My thoughts exactly, most of us have seen this bike before.
But I bet grandad has got machinery most of us haven't seen. Criminal not to explore further. Oh well.
jvsdi bond hi man, thanks! I will be putting videos up soon on those bikes on my channel!
@@daxair644 Nice one Max, you did a great job there!
MagicAyrtonforever cheers pal
Probably should have comment from the channel that I upload too! Yes more MV’s soon!
This has to be my favorite Readers Rides to date. What a beautiful bike. Hats off to Max for letting another human being touch it.
Brad Bilski I left it within safe hands!
Stunning looking bike, really love these Readers Rides reviews
At first I wasn't sure how I felt about the looks, but by the end of the review it really grew on me. Splendid interview. 👍
Thanks Toby, glad you liked it....
Beautiful machines, was lucky enough to see one in the flesh at a bike meet earlier this year, def up there with the most beautiful bikes made!
Well played. Thanks to Max for sharing. @TMF great video as usual.
Graden Scheiwe no worries! Thanks for the nice comments!
thank you for posting. It is a beautiful bike. When he took the side shot of you riding it, the bike looked so small and yet sooo muscular. May he enjoy it for many years.
dsimon9 s thanks Simon
I can’t imagine how much cleaning that thing requires, nice summer Sunday ride in the dry. Also nice to see a younger subscriber on the channel nice guy great bike 👍🏻
Agreed all round!
To be fair, I doubt very much one would ever mind cleaning it. Sexy sexy animal. Best looking bike ever? It's safely in the running.
If I had one I would get it ceramic coated to make it easy to clean.
Stunning looking bike, great triple engine, another bike I would love to own in the future, Thanks TMF great vid as always.
I cant get over how pretty the wheels on this bike look! What an amazing bike.
Yes sure is a looker isn't it....
I was smiling ear to ear watching this. Fantastic.
Glad you enjoyed it....
Bellissimo & Magnifico and the wire wheels with that 200 tyre WOW 👍
Had the pleasure of borrowing one of those a short while ago. Put my K1300s in for a service and they gave me a grey one as a loaner. Very nippy, handles very nicely. Fantastic motor, quick shifter works fantastic, up and down. It won't get anymore top end than 244 km but the K1300s would have no chance until the MV hit the limiter.
This must be one of the most gorgeous bikes in existence!
(Also, you kinda slaughter the pronounciation of MV Agusta :D )
On a recent ride out in Dubai a young woman had the very same bike, I made a comment , that's not a motorcycle , conversation went very quiet, until I finish with , that's a work of art. It truly is a beautiful machine. She could ride as well when we got into the twisty mountain road ( only one we have in Dubai) she kept up withthe guys on the sports bikes, passed a few as well, used all of the tyre too. No chicken strips. Merry Christmas TMF
Cheers - and to you!
Hi Guys & Girls, had a brilliant day with TMF and showing you guys the Dragster! I’m sure we will do something again in the future! However, if you can’t wait I will be adding bikes to my channel in the coming weeks!
@The Obligatory Mad Max
Cheers!
Saw one of these last week, parked next to my 1983 VF750 at a local coffee cafe, looked like a time machine next to my bike!
Good night, good bike and fantastic review, continues with the good work, greetings
Greetings!
Cheers Max, that's a beauty you got there! 👍
MackP glad you enjoyed it!
Those wheels are really unique, I don't think you'll find many people who don't appreciate the looks of the thing
Just seen your vid on the MV and so pleased you had the chance to ride one. Alone with my GS I've had an MV for the last 9 years, I now have a triple also, the Turismo Veloce Lusso in pearl white. If you get a chance to review the latest model with its special clutchless operation do so.
Beautiful bike and seems quite rideable unlike some previous MV’s. Love the colour scheme. All MV need to do is get their dealer network sorted now.👍🏻
Mike Stewart yes mike they do indeed! Apparently it’s coming!
Top video. What a great bike. Looks fantastic.
Very good review it's a lovely bike thanks Danny
The walk-on reminds me of when the professional came to speak to Jim Bowen on Bullseye. Cant beat a bit o' Bully!
Thanks TMF, now top of the list.
I hope to purchase one soon in the US. They are hard to come by over here. Absolutely amazing quality and design.
Good show mr Flyer, good show indeed!
Thank you John - good to hear from you again!
Another good one. What a great owner! The warranty issues would be a bit concerning, but you can't question the looks! From the saddle, looked pure quality! Nice one TMF! I am beginning to think everyone needs something Italian in their garage though!
I agree!
Phenomenally beautiful bike; it is almost *too* pretty. But not quite too pretty; just function and form done so well. What a fun video - this is a great series TMF. Total fun!!
Glad you liked it Scott....
Awesome video once again TMF, I really enjoy these Readers Wives... I mean Rides vids. Come the spring (if I can get it through it's MoT) I may have to offer up my customised Moto Guzzi V7... which also has those bloomin lovely Kineo wheels that this MV has fitted! :-)
Beautiful bike from every angle
I was shocked when he said he hadn't done anything to it yet. Fantastic looking bike. I'm looking forward to your reviews on the new Triumph models.
So am I!!
@@TheMissendenFlyer The 1200 scrambler is £11.5K, reasonable or salty? I knew we'd have to pay for dem brembo's....
Spot on review. Owned one for some time but I have to say the seat was really uncomfortable especially after an hour of riding. Other than that It looked great and had fun owning it
That is PROPER gorgeous. To be bought with the heart, if not the head.
Beautiful Looking Bike...
Looks a beauty and the triple engine note is spin tingling ! - It was this or a S1KR when I went looking for a new ride for 2019 and the BMW won out because of the better suspension.
When i see a Readers Rides - i hit the like button
How did yo get a merchandising shelf below your videos please as you do not live in the US?
It is available outside the US now....
OK, thanks, I will have another look, it did not come up when I looked last time.

What was the vibration like, Mr Flyer, cos at one point the speed display went all blurry. :D
I own one just like it, but with a QD exhaust. Had it since 2016 and absolutely love it. Fantastic engine. Aftermarket exhaust is a must have, sounds incredible!
It really gets going at around 10.000 rpm. High revving is the way to go on this one 😁
I’m thinking about getting a 2015 one, how is the reliability? Any issues?
@@santiagolopez-aparicio9059 If the bike is properly maintained I consider it very reliable, but just make sure that it has been properly serviced (very important).
I would stick to the RR models, they have double valve springs and a stronger clutch basket among other things. F3’s are known to have dropped valves (single springs). There has also been a recall on the clutch basket (not RR-versions).
Sprag clutch is a common problem. MV upgraded the sprag and the software to shorten the starting sequence. This makes the sprag last longer. A lithium battery is highly recommended, which really helps lessen wear on the sprag clutch.
My current sprag (the upgraded one) is starting to act up a little and needs replacing. It has lasted for about 20.000km with a lithium battery, so I really don’t think it is a big deal. The price of the sprag is also heavily discounted by MV (100euros + VAT). A couple of hours of work, so if you don’t do it yourself it will be more expensive of course. Original sprag with original battery lasted about 5000km, so make sure it is upgraded and install lithium battery if not already done.
There are some bushings on the rear sprocket that wears out rather quick, but they cost almost nothing and are very easy to replace. If you skip replacing them, however, you can damage the hub eventually and that is very expensive. Check for play on the rear sprocket. There should be little play but not much. I replace them every 5000km or so. You don’t want play were you can hear metal to metal. The bushings are there to prevent that. It is possible to upgrade the sprocket carrier to a newer one that carries longer lasting bushings.
The quickshifter is a little bit sensitive to water, but you will be fine as long as you don’t drench it in water during washing. If you do it will dry up in a couple of days/weeks and start working again. No big deal. I cover it up when washing the bike.
Key is to buy one that is very well serviced. I would rather buy one that is regurarly ridden and properly maintained than a low mileage garage queen. Very important to check valve clearance and lubricate the hub and other things on schedule.
I have 35.000km on mine now. No problems except sprag clutch every 20.000km or so, but I change oil very often and keep a rigourus service routine.
They are a dream to ride, and they sound incredible. Well worth the love and care they demand. If you find one with any questionmarks regarding service history, keep looking. I am sure you will find a nice one.
An achingly beautiful bike, and imo the best looking off the peg naked you can buy
Nice one TMF & Max
Ian Lawrie Thanks Ian!
Ugh, gorgeous bike. If I could get an MV tomorrow it would be a Dragster RR. Those spoked wheels are unique on a sport bike.
One day I hope to either have a MV in the garage or a Moto Guzzi. The Guzzi Griso is an amazing looking bike also.
Absolutely stunner of a bike, would love to have one. Unfortunately there is no MV dealer in Hawaii........
Totally funny when the speedo goes blurry! Are you being a naughty boy there TMF!!!
Brilliant review guys. Lovely bike thought about this bike and the Brutale but just had to go for the Sdr!! Not to sure on wheels...... must take ages to clean!!!😆😆😆😆👍👍👍👍
Mr Superduke thanks man and yeah it takes some time! I quite like it!
I'm torn betweeen SDR and this bike, do you still think you made right choice with SDR?
Wasn’t long ago I asked you about doing a review on the mv
Great video as always and watch that splodge on the camera lense just in front of your speedo 😉
...happy to oblige...
Love those wheels. The look of 'em, the fact they're tubeless. Probably a real pain in the neck to clean, especially being white... Great looking machine.
Agreed all round!
Nice to see you on a different bike ,it’s beautiful, unreliable but beautiful lol .Ride safe Mr Flyer 😀🏍I bought a Guzzi who am I to talk about reliability
Nice one James - cheers!
I’m not a massive fan off naked bikes but they are one of the most beautiful bikes ever made and when my back can’t take a sport bike anymore it would have to be one of these, gorgeous machines nice to see it reviewed and bought into your garage TMF. 👍🏻
A lovely looking machine.
Hi Mate from Sydney, Australia. I have an MV Agusta 800 RR with an HP Corse exhaust system and the baffles removed. I just love the snarl from the triple, combined with the pops and burbles on the overrun. If I figure out how to do a decent video I will put it up.
Hi Graham, I'm also in Sydney and been looking at MV's 800 RR & their 1090 Brutale. What have been your experiences with reliability? Any issues? Cheers mate.
Mine has been ok but I make sure that it stays on the trickle charger. The MV dealer at Parramatta is good. I've had no real issues at all but I also have very few km on the clock.
From a mechanical perspective one of the Achilles heels in the triple is the sprag clutch. They can fail. Hence the trickle charging as the battery needs to be top notch.
The only other downside is the seat. It's like concrete. I have few CZcams vids on my channel if you want to see my bike.
Stunning!
WOW, does Max fly helicopters as well? Lovely, lovely bike! Thanks for showing it it "Readers Rides"
I do indeed Ian! Feel free to take a look! Only just getting the hang of this editing...
fellow flyers are always welcome in the Missenden mancave!
Will do!
My wife rides that exact bike, same colour, and she had the same exact issues you described, the Suspension would go down and wouldn't return and the steering damper stopped working. Make sure that you cover the rear blinkers with plastic bags when washing the bike otherwise you will be replacing them soon.
It's funny ,I just went to a BMW New model event ,and the dealership just took one of these as a trade-in. Beautiful bike! I never knew they existed.
Love your videos! Have subscribed. Much love and a very Happy Christmas and New Year to you. Oh! Which bike revs for the "TMF" signature tune? The Panigale 899, I guess? Cheers!
Actually Sreekumar it’s aTriumph Street Cup! Happy Christmas to you too and thanks for the kind words....
It sounds majestic! Waiting to hear what you think about the RE parallel twins (the Interceptor and/or the Continental GT).
Wow what a beautiful bike
Loved this review! Definitely one of my top three bikes. Currently on an MT07 which pales in comparison to this bike! About to do a motovlog of Tasmania on a Suzuki Vstrom650. Best wishes for the season! Bernie in sydney
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you too!
Stunning machine!
Beautiful bike, love the wheels
Great review indeed, nice to see you on the MV. New helmet too did I spot?
No I've had that Shoei for a while - I just don't do 2 cam vids very often so you may not have spotted it before...
Very nice, loved my MV 800 Italia . Now got a 765 RS and it's great but lacks character compared to the MV.
Short wheel base? Looking at you on the bike it reminds me of the up on the Buel.
Wondering about the make of those ladders and that choice blue lawnmower?
Bike looks fantastic.
Gorgeous bike
I can’t make up my mind about the Dragster. From a design perspective, they deserve the ‘motorcycle art’ tag line more than any other manufacturer (okay, maybe Ducati and Benelli come close) This is certainly a beautiful bike. Looks great, sounds fantastic. Just not sure if it will have the longevity of the F3 or F4. Having said that, if Santa’s feeling generous......
Stunning bike!
Isn't it just!
Now just need to get a go on his F3 too, perfect comparison for your 899!
The Incredible Sulk Hopefully can get that sorted some time! I’d be interested to see what the 899 like!
One for the Summer!
Lovely bike. And I'd love to see a Brutale test here.
My favourite bike on The Crew 2 🏍
Wouldn’t mind seeing a review of that lawnmower, is it a 32 or 40 rotek
now that is a beauty
Stunning bike !!!
The looks aren't mine but sure sounds amazing! Italian motos are always lovely
Had a 910R and that was well named Brutale fitted with the race exhaust and chip that came in a kit with the bike. No traction control, the fueling was terrible, suspension wasn't that great, only did around 20 to gallon with a range of around 80 miles wich was good really cause the seat was a plank. But to ride it was the best bike I've even owned, it just had something special. Had to sell it in the end because it just did my neck in every time i went out on it.try to get a go on a Four, amazing harmonies come from the exhaust due to the different pipe lengths.
Very nice machines them, they stay remarkably clean even after a ride I notice, not that I would accuse you of doing the introduction and summary at the same time of course ;) We have a new MV dealership here in Leicester too...Two Wheel Moto, ask for Stuart (very nice chap).
Thx Max!
Elie Nehme no worries! Hope you enjoyed!
Great video thanks.
Regarding adverts: a necessary evil. Without them we would not have great CZcamsrs like TMF etc.
Also, I just saw an advert for the new Downtown Abbey movie due out next year while watching this. So all good. 👍🏻
Cheers LB - appreciated!
Wow, that is a nice kit.
Love MV's! Such a lovely bike but way too much power for me atm, loving my new Ninja 400 though 😁
I own a 2016 1090 Brutale, with the in-line 4-cylinder engine. It looks amazing, handles sweetly and goes like stink. Nothing else I've ridden gives you such a buzz.
Lovely bike and I see your stocking up on the bottles on your side, ready for Xmas :-)
Great video love MV Agustas nakeds the best.. What is the difference btwn the Brutale and the Dragster??
I don’t honestly know without looking it up....
This thing is a real beauty...
Agreed!
"I have a massive grin in my helmet" - Ooer missus! 😁
Beautiful bike
What a beauty 😀
That is a really nice looking bike
Isn't it....
Great quick shifter
Love this bike, sat on one in a showroom but I felt too big I’m 6ft 2 and 18 plus stones.
I thought for a horrible moment when you were trying to change the map on the hoof that the flashing warning was - STOP immediately and return to dealer ( again ! ) I can see why folks like em ( including Lewis Hamilton) but too much bling for me personally. Lovely sounding bike though.
Thats about the nicest naked bike ever !! I NEED ONE (:
