  • In this quick tip for Revit I will show you how to setup double-click behavior in Revit. You can adjust double-click behavior for clicking on family, sketched element, inside or outside of views, schedules or sheets, double-clicking on groups or assemblies. For some elements it is best to turn off double-click. As a bonus I will also demonstrate how to change double-click behavior in Project Browser. It will disable renaming views or sheets with slow double-click.
    Location of Revit.ini file:
    C:\Users\"username"\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\Revit\"Revit Version"
    Syntax for changing double-click behavior in project browser
    SlowDoubleClickInProjectBrowser=0

    Thank you so much this is super helpful! I always hated when I would double click to open a view/sheet and it would jump into the renaming function.... Great tutorial!

      Yes, I hated this behavior too. I was quite surprised the user can change it.
