- In this video I explore more rendering options with Veras, an AI assisted rendering plugin for Revit, which is developed by EvolveLAB. I show how I used Veras AI for interior render, exploring several design options. I also show a tongue and cheek technique for creating architectural visualization form Minecraft model. Because Veras AI works only with 2D raster image as input, it is quite easy to import screenshot of Minecraft designed building to Revit and create visualization from it with the help of Veras. i applied this technique to one house with pool and also to one Minecraft skyscraper shot.

What I'm interested in is its ability to create photorealistic renderings from a given model/design, rather than using AI to generate design ideas. These renderings look good. I'm using Enscape right now, with SketchUp. Waiting for the SketchUp version of Veras.
With Veras, you can bump down the "Creativity" slider down, so than the rendering stays more true to the original model. I think you can achieve close enough result to your original idea this way. But you cannot achieve the complete control over the result right now, as you can with Enscape. Currently, this tool can not replace rendering engines. On the other hand, it takes so little time to get to the final rendering, compared to any render engine.
I would recommend you to try Veras as soon as the release it for SktechUp. Everyone has to see for themselves, whether they could fit it in their production workflows.
Your architecture style can stay the same, just turn down the creativity strength
thanks for sharing. To be honest the more I watch this Veras working, the less impressed I am.
I would recommend you to test it out. I am just learning to work with AI and i did few mistakes in the video. If you take out the wow factor of the first impression of the tool, I think it is possible to use it in production even i its current form. The usage is quite limited, but it can speed up and enhance some of architectural workflows. I see a great potential in tools like this, but currently it can be hit or miss when you try to get to your results.
@@BIMforInteriorDesign I played with it a little bit and it definitely has this wow effect. Looks like a game changer and it can really be. However after the wow effect we see how limited this still is. For the time being i would say that it is good enough eventually for the conceptual phase. Just to provide the ideas and some hints instead of scrolling through the Pinterest or similar platforms. If they introduce more granular control than it would be something,
@@stjepansabljic Yes, this is exactly what I think. The advantage is that when scrolling through pinterest, you cannot give the design any basic form, whereas with Veras you can. Surrounding terrain can also be a foctor, that you can model with Veras. In some usecases it might be possible to create first visualization outputs, with "creativity" set to low.
I see great potential in this new technology, one of the reasons is that the barrier of entry is really low. I think we will see big boom of creativity especially when Veras is released for SketchUp and Rhino. These two applications are more suited for the purpose, than Revit.
Game changers usually don't come as a bang, but rather creep in slowly. Real time raytracing is a gamechenager in archviz in my opinion, but it took several years to get it form first concepts to usable product and than few more years to mass adoption.
@@stjepansabljic I am less interested in having it generate ideas, and more in having it do a good photorealistic image of a given design.
Hi, Im curious about veras and it being compatible with Revit LT?
Hi, Veras is unfortunately not compatible with Revit LT. You have to use full Revit to be able to leverage Veras.
You need to put the style name...
Also turn down the creativity strength so you can keep your original creation.
Thanks for the tip.
