Pretty off beat video but we got the chance to go see Paul's hanger and checkout some neat MD helicopters! Good news is Mullet's SMX is in the mail back to us as of today!
Well lets see what shenanigans you have planned for today 😂
Love the Videos
Don’t matter what it is, we are here to see it! Hell yes brother!
Hey dude any cleeter video is a good video!
Host an srx race at the freedom factory
Teach Paul to drift or send him down the track in Ruby. It would be interesting to hear his analysis of it.
Definitely send him down the strip in something, hell, the man can probably handle Mullet.
This, you so need to let Paul feel the fury of Ruby, give that man atleast a 8 second pass to add to his collection of achievements.
I third this, he's so composed in a helicopter, it'd be interesting to see him do an 8 or 9 sec 1/4 mile 😂
Yes please
He would probably enjoy mcflurry with all the levers.
Maybe y'all can build him a car with foot controls and hand controls. So he feels like he's flying a helicopter.
Paul seems like he’d be the coolest grandpa/dad ever. Answered all questions George asked nicely. Seems like a hell of a guy to know. Cleet always finds the good ones
That's something I love about this channel, no matter how crazy the world is, this channel is always full of fun and positivity and great people. Even when things go south they say whatever and keep on rolling. Really is a nice change of pace from the rest of the world
seemed like a bit of a pushover
@@FartInYourFace234 and how exactly did you gather this?
As a helicopter mechanic, I never thought I’d be seeing cleetus giving me my rotor wing fix on CZcams. Supporting you as always buddy 🤙🏻
As fellow heli mechanic and SAR swimmer; Garrett seems shallow.
At fasterproms George worked on heads and general mechanical things. Now he's flying around in planes and helicopters. Im sure he even makes more, has his own channel drag car. All around the man really leveled up! Super happy he got out and is living a life worth living
I was going to post something similar! Totally agree!
George is sometimes the highlight of the videos. His reaction and quirky humor are priceless!
I was thinking the same thing!
Yeah, I what a difference in personalities George and Cooper have
He's much better away from Fasterproms!
Much better fit at McFarland racing/boating/aviation/RC...etc
Love the McFarland Aviation content brother!!!
copy that!
I disagree, some of it is cool but not as exciting as his race content.
@LegerAndCo how can you disagree with someone saying they love something lol.
Was surprised you didn’t know about or had seen the Notar before ? It’s a sexy ass helicopter for sure . And the low noise and zero vibrations makes it ideal for personal use 👌.
@@LegerAndCo Dont get me wrong im here for the racing like most of us. That said if the occasional aviation content doesn't motivate you in some way or another.. it says more about you than it does about cleet or his channel.
Clete is one of those rare individuals that can drive anything, and all of his shenanigans helps him capture the feel of the vehicle, great job clete
Lots of people fly and do the car thing. You just don't see it
😊I’m so happy for George. Looks like he’s out here living his best life with cleet.
For sure!! Cleet has let George spread out his talents and absorb the different content in this channel!!! Not knocking his last employer/content creator. You go George!!!!
Way better than being stuck in the back say Fasterproms. Like you say, no shade on Jeremy at all, but this is quite the different life!
I love this type of content sprinkled in. It is wild seeing the difference in the machines & the excitement of Clet & George!
That Was flippin cool
Wild how florida police infringe upon the american human right to open carry a firearm. Hitlers gestapo called, they said theyre hiring florida new york and california cops. Why are our police so often tyrannically sinister and demonic? Its 1984 666. Children on puberty blockers, peoples genetalia mutilated and thats okay but got forbid you open carry a firearm in an age of mass rampage serial killers right???? The president the pope, the judges, all protected with guns but not children in school. Cant have any protection with our education or too many children wont get slaughtered. Gave fun paying all the europeans ww3 bills they make us pay while they pretend theyre better than us.
I think George might be in the market for something to fly to work so he can cut down on that 2 hour each way drive
@@wheeln24-79 Haha I think you're right, you can hear it in his voice when asking questions about it!
How much are you being paid for commenting?
Do they pay you in bags of rice or chickens?
Im glad Paul is the man sharing his wisdom and experiences. He seems like the man to go to, very genuine when it comes to helicopters. You boys are always gonna be in good hands with him. You can tell he is a very intelligent man. AWESOME JOB PAUL!!!
Dude, right on. Paul also MUST be an excellent pilot. You may hear 'terrible helicopter pilot...' BUT, you'll never hear '...terrible OLDER helicopter pilot'!! Ya only get 1 chance to be terrible
@@jasonaldenhaley1 funny, but true.
Bro when he started drifting the heli what a HOSS
Thanks for taking us along for these adventures, love the offshoot into aviation!
The knowledge, training and experience your getting from Paul is priceless
This guy came up big time. From Mall Cop to helicopter entrepreneur.
thats paul blart, not barth lol
Before you know it he'll be at the FREAKING CATALINA WINE MIXER
Have you heard of the Blart side of the moon? Those movies are secretly high art.
Everything's black, immediately shows a white fuel barrel😂. Idk if jet fuel containers have to be white per some code but I for sure chuckled
@@jani724 would think that just like water tanks are normally white, the heat soak from sun is much higher with a black tank. I believe another reason most tanks are white, transparent of sort, is that sunlight helps keep bacteria from growing in tanks. I could be totally wrong but seems like I heard something like that before.. I assume another benefit of white is the water or fuel level can be seen.
Never thought I would be watching a helicopter video with a massive smile on my face. I am so proud to be a Cleetus (Garrett) fan because this man excels at LIFE and does it with a smile, with humor, and he does it for US, the fans. By far my favorite person on the planet.
The smile is why.
Check out the lip along the tail tube only on the left side that also helps compensating the momentum with the coanda (?) effect around that tube , lower pressure in the smoother side of the tail = sucks the tail to the right side. We had one on the set of “Renegades” and the pilot explained all the details to us.
Great episode Cleetus and team!
Cleetus is a fast learner and so good with the chemistry as a presenter/interviewer.
I used to fly R-22s and fully approve of the MD500 platform. That bird is so versatile.
The instruction edits and perspectives are awesome.
Satisfying indeed. 🙏✌️
Paul is such a down to earth cool guy. not everyone who achieves what Paul has remains humble and down to earth. Im glad to see y'all flying together again 👍👍
loving the aviation content that you've added to the channel over the last few months!! I'm an av geek, as well as a car nut; put the two of them together and your channel makes for some awesome content!!
Electric tail fans in a protected back housing are also very smooth flying with little no no vibrations such as is used a lot on Eurocopters. Great video.
The ones in the eurocopters arent electric
Came for the exhaust whistles and stayed for the helicopter content. 😂
that's the first cleetus video I saw and I hated it lol
I wonder how many people didn't get that. 😂
Dont forget the duck call in the procharger
Some real OGs here ✌️
What happens of you throw a sparkplug at that helicopter?
I worked for MD for a little over 12 years, and every morning was awesome walking past the flightline to my building as flight test and training was happening. The smoothness of the 902 was incredible.
I worked at MD from 88 and Boeing bought it and I retired in 2006
Is it pretty typical for the NOTAR equipped aircraft to not come with vortex generators along the tail? Hello from a Ch54 skycrane guy 🤙
You you you....MD team person you.
How cool. 👍
I went to the Robinson factory in Torrance for their groundschool when Frank was still with us. He was really engaging and inspirational to my 22 year old eyes.
And the place was fascinating! Nice to meet you. 😀
absolute unit !
It's crazy the reach cleetus content has now. If the fan is getting closed off when you turn does that mean it needs a blow off valve to vent excess air pressure?
Paul is living a dream life... what a legend
Saul did swimming a cream light.... such a brethren
@@AdamBogan lol your joke was so unfunny that youtube didn't even give me a notification

The crop duster idea was perfect
Im SOOO happy for George. Getting away from Fasterproms was such a leap for him. Going from porting bullshit intakes all day everyday to hittin BIG wheelies in that Blazer, into taking helo and plane rides on the daily. 🤯
i so agree here you can see the real George free love him lol
I'm a HUGE George fan. I'm so happy for him and the whole team honestly that this channel is able to do so much.
ALL THE FELLAS ARE GREAT AND MAKE CLETS CHANNEL EVEN BETTER
Grow up! Jeremy treated him well.
@@Cultofpersonality09129 Dude was locked in a tiny ass room porting shit all day, not really
Also something to note there's a slit along the tailboom that allows high volume low pressure air to escape, turning the tailboom into a wing using the Coanda effect. That is what creates the antitorque, not the directional thruster. The vertical stabilizers take over as speed increase reduces the coanda effect.
Hey Cleetus, if you have time you should check out the Triple Tree Fly-In this September at Triple Tree Aerodrome. Hundreds of planes fly in for the event….camp beside their planes. Great times
George was the best investment you made. Hes perfect for you and the channel. A real genuine guy
They should get Paul one of those helicopter pads that remote controlled so he doesn’t need to pull it out with his side-by-side
Need Mike Patey and Best Tugs to colab with Paul!
Yep Best Tugs!
Cleetus hook Paul up with Mike
Dude has 5 million dollars in choppers in his hangar, I’m sure he can afford one if he wanted one lol
@@Dontworryboutit315 so what you’re saying is if your parents were millionaires you wouldn’t get them Father’s Day and Mother’s Day presents because they’re millionaires
Thanks paul for letting us come along today and tour your facility, this episode was awesome and a great glimpse into the aviation world most of us would never know about unless we were owners ourselves.
The knowledge, training and experience your getting from Paul is priceless. Paul is living a dream life... what a legend.
I love this type of content, but that’s coming from someone with a passion for aviation. So cool learning and even seeing you guys learn , explore and experiment with aviation!
I think they should give Paul the whole Mcfarland racing experience as a thank you. Dragrace, drifting, the whole package

Love the Helicopter content brother. Paul is such a natural teacher. I almost feel like he uploaded how to fly the Notar into my brain Matrix style. I like seeing people who know their craft in and out AND can teach someone who knows nothing at least the basic principles in 10 minutes.
Thank you for putting this video up. I do LiDAR surveying work out of a helicopter and fight vibration issues all the time. I have wondered what the 520N was like in that regard. I need one. Great content. !!!!
What an incredible machine! This chopper featured in films like Speed and Hunt For The Wilderpeople
It’s insane how much quieter that helicopter sounds
I didn't think it was the tail rotor making the bulk of the noise but it seems that way.
yeah i was surprised as well, had no idea most of the noise came from the tail rotor as well but it sorta makes sense once you really think about why it does.
The turbine fan noise is much cooler whether it's quieter or not for sure.
@@colliecollie6822a lot of noise comes from the interaction of turbulent air between main and tail rotor. Constructive interference.
This Paul guy is an absolute legend sharing so much info takin his time to showcase stuff
Man the insight Paul has and the talent is just incredible. Hats off to him

Thanks for the heli lesson...very educational on that notar...never knew. I learned something new today!
Gotta say even after the 1000th time the intro never gets old
I dig it. Notar seems like similar to Harrier nozzle to direct thrust. Same concept, different implementation. Very cool vid!!

Really love the sound on the flybys with the tail blower, got a whine like a supercharger and leaves the low frequency thump of the main rotor.
Cool to see a video of Paul checking out/flying Cleetus’s helicopter. The nerd in me wants to hear what he has to say about it’s capabilities/performance.
MD Notar is my favourite helicopter. Hear one whistling up the coast where I live sometimes. Can never help but to walk out and watch it whizz by. Beautiful machines, going to hire it for a ride on my big birthday and check out the countryside around about from the sky.
So cool!
Ive seen a "no-tar" helicopter before and always wondered what it was called and how it worked. Very neat!
Loving the McFarland Aviation content, and a big thanks to Mr. Paul for his contributions!
So incredible to see aviation on my feed I get caught up in the cars and forget how much I love this content
My dad was an engineer with MDH in the 90's and his part of the Notar project was the fan intake faring housing.
8 minutes in I just had to comment. During Basic Tactical Flight/NVD Training my Stickbuddy and I had the blessing of having a Competition Team Instructor. He had us practice these fwd mvmt 360s maintaining the same pivot point. He taught us more stuff but this brought on the flashback. I will never forget that Instructor.
Can we just appreciate that we have a consistent CZcamsr with such good content all the time, keep up the amazing work boys 🔥🔥💯🇺🇸
Cleeter has been making my day with his videos for the past 8 years. Watch everyday.
Aviation content is where it's at for me. I hope to someday be a private pilot myself.
I love the passion and enthusiasm that you have towards flying. Thank you for bringing that Contant to the channel.
That’s pretty cool! I have 2000 hours in the F-18 and those 360s down the grass strip were crazy! And I never knew that about the tail rotor making most of the noise. Love the channel and the flying content is great
Love these videos 👍 it's all foreign to me but is so interesting to watch and learn, plus it's super cool to see these guys set ups and they are kinda similar to car guys but just on a whole other level. The massive garages, aircraft's and super sick properties and they are hooked on it just like we are to cars. I really appreciate you bringing this content to the channel because I probably would have never watched this type of video anywhere else
Thank you for such a wide array of content, it's damn cool
Love how Paul is so willing to explain everything and answer the questions! Seem like a really awesome guy!
What a fantastic insight into something I never knew I really cared about until Cleet brought this to us 👏🏻 I'm so impressed. Thank you
paul is such a champion in guiding people in helicopter training and knowledge.
Absolutely love these aviation vids. Paul is a badass pilot too
I love the 520N. Phoenix PD used to have a fleet. They switched to the AS350 15 or 20 years ago. Story they gave the public was they had trouble getting spare parts and services from MD.
I just want to shout out George, he is becoming one of the best camera guy's out there.
Hell yeah brother!! Your content is always top notch! Thankyou for all the hard work guys!! Love from the U.K 🇬🇧
Paul flying the 360s looks like every Rc helicopter I’ve ever tried to fly with the trim that’s just stuck so it constantly spins😂
This video is sweet! I just finished watching (again) the video of when you first announced buying the freedom factory. It’d be cool to see a cinematic video of your progress and accomplishments and best moments from then to now.
So nice of Paul and his friend to show that NOTR heli. Gentlemen to the last showing their love of aircraft. Nice of Cleetus to feature, I like the different content!
Flying backwards in a helicopter is one of the oddest feelings I've ever experienced. When I was a little kid my Dad was involved with the local airshow scene, he pulled a few strings and I was able to go up with the Salad Time helicopter stunt team, flying backwards with the smoke on filling the cab completely and not being able to see shit while flying backwards was something I clearly will never forget. 👍👍🚁🚁💨💨
I felt like I was in GTA flying a helicopter when you guys were doing the 360’s. I don’t know what else to say but this channel makes my day every time there’s a video. Thanks cleet
The tail boom also has slots along its length that aids in the Coanda effect known as Coanda slots. These helis have a very distinct sound with the whine from the fan and the sound of the air being blown through the boom.
ooh thats awesome, while i was studying A&P we talked about the mechanics of this heli. cool to see you in the aviation world now
Man cleetus just makes it look easy like anyone can just hop in a helicopter lol
to be fair hes like this in anything he's driving or piloting. natural talent all around, plus money helps train ya too lol
He's been flying for years
He definitely has a natural ability to pilot just about anything. Jets are likely next.
My favorite videos you make Cleetus! One day I hope I’ll own a helicopter even if it takes me 25 more years!
Paul is living a dream life... what a legend. The knowledge, training and experience your getting from Paul is priceless.
Beautiful birds, thank you guys and especially Paul. What a cool operator
i know these flight videos dont usually preform all that well but im here for all the aircraft action!
You can just tell right away that Paul is a true professional. 🇺🇲
Those notars are so nice, I had the opportunity to ride in an MD902 notar and it was so smooth, had room for 6 including the pilot as well as tons of gear and still had A/C
As a helicopter enthusiast, this is my favorite video you've done! FYI the N530FF for freedom factory is a for hire unit here in Utah next time you're up this way. It hangars in Spanish Fork near Mike and Mark P. I've been in it. It's a good machine.
Paul absolutely needs a tune up on one of his cars or a new one from the McFarland garage 😄 he's such a great guy
Cleetus’s friend Paul there reminds me of a friend of mine named Jerry Foster who was the 1st reporter/pilot to live broadcast from a helicopter. Jerry passed away a few months ago but Paul has many more good years left👍🇺🇸✌️
Thanks for the demonstration and tutorial, l love these aviation videos!
Anything with an engine. I love it. Awesome to see airplanes and helicopters. Those tend to be more exclusive than others.
Always a good day when cleeter uploads!🤘🏼
Cleeter - I flew this super sweet helicopter
Me- I rode in lifeflight once
Me too
Did you died?
I love doing pirouettes in a helicopter. My instructor would have me do them in more wind as i got better/further along in my training. He said outside training there wasn’t much practice use but that never stopped me from getting a few in here and there.
Not only is Cleetus's life so much a fun adventure, he gets to share it with his friends and makes new friends along the way. That's a dream come true, to enjoy shared experiences. Cheers!
Been missing the aviation content, brother. Keep em coming
Super Cool! Thanks for posting this @CleetusM
Cleetus always posting with amazing videos.. Hell yea brother
so glad george moved to team cleet, he embraces george’s personality. dudes solid
George has been a solid addition. It was a weird transition but didn't take him long at all to fit in.
I had literally no aspirations of flying before cleet did it but now I have this urge to go get my pilots license....
I thought these were the coolest choppers. The tech didn't seem to take. I like the coast guard choppers with the enclosed tail rotors too.
The enclosed tail fans have 99% of the NOTAR advantage without the downsides. That's why you see a lot more of them than you do NOTAR.
Ah, the good old MH-65 Dolphin. Great helo.
@@jmt8706official yep that's the one! When I lived in San Diego you'd see them all the time. I was a little disappointed Cletus made no Magnum PI references when flying the same helicopter! That was actually my start for being BELL helicopter fan. Plus the army gave them all cool Indian names. I hope the commies never learn about them or we'll lose that too. Sorry political rant🤔😳😠 ***edit had to Google Hughes made the 500 bell made another of my favorites jet ranger.

Nice treat thanks bud! I love helicopters!!
Always loved the look of the NOTAR helis.
When I worked with an exploration company in Southeast Alaska we had Hughes 500C & D models flying us around. They're like the sports cars of the skies, just freakin' loved thise birds.
Much respect for getting involved in flying !!!!
When I was in training, Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburg had 5 MD 902 helicopters which were NOTAR in 1996. They were able to be be loaded from the rear because there wasn’t a tail rotor. Diana Ross performed at the Super Bowl in 1996 and her ride out of the stadium was on an MD 900.
Vietnam UH-1 Hueys had those wire cutters too. I could see Cleetus as a Huey Gunship pilot.
Every second of this video is amazing.
