- Ukulele is my hobby so I don't practice at all. I just play it and have a fun! Actually Ukulele is great instrument to think about triads & Drop 2 voicings. Tuning is similar to Guitar. You can think as same as Guitar's top 4 strings at 5th fret. G C E A .... Very simple!

Of course your next video would be on the ukulele. I JUST made one for each of my kiddos out of cigar boxes and I'm in the process of setting them up but I've been having fun plinking around on them. Both of them were soprano scales, but I'm going to make a tenor for myself next, just waiting to get a good solid wood box for it.

Thanks for this discussion. Since I started practicing triads from your lessons, I started working them out on ukulele. 1st 3 strings. I keep it with me when I can’t bring my guitar.

I just got my Ortega Hydra-ZS Custom Built Double-Neck Tenor Ukulele a few weeks ago and it sounds awesome. I just ordered a Ortega Guitars RU5CE-BA Bonfire Series Baritone Ukulele. I can't wait.

Awesome! When I was learning to be a luthier I built a baritone 6 string uke, it was a special order. I had seen a 6 string banjo (the ukulele was for the owner of that banjo).

Think of playing guitar with a capo on the 5th fret as you said earlier. Chords then become relative to the capo but the pitch is the same as guitar

It's an open secret that some of Hawaii's best ukulele players prefer Savarez 520 Traditional Series Classical Guitar Strings .
